My husband had been eyeballing the menu for a while. We decide to come in for lunch. We were seated right away. The place was very clean. We ordered the Boudin Balls and Hushpuppies for appetizers. The sauce they came with was very sweet, not to my liking but I'm not a fan of sweet sauces in general. Neither of the apps had much flavor. The Boudin Balls were very meaty but the taste was bland. The hush puppies tasted like fried bland cornbread. My husband had his heart set on the Lobster Roll, while still on the menu, they have discontinued this item. He did not order anything else. My daughter had the chicken strips with regular fries and loved them. I had a half pound of green mussels and a half pound of black mussels in a boil with the trinity sauce medium heat. They were really good! Needed more spice so maybe hot next time. The boil came with 3 slices of sausage, 2 potatoes, and one small ear of corn. I also ordered the margarita flight. While it was tasty, the drinks were weak and no where near worth the $22 price. Our server was amazing- first, friendly, & attentive. Not sure if I'll be back based 1. Not having the lobster roll and 2. Not offering veggies (broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, bell pepper) as an option in their boil (like smashing' crab). read more

The food here is amazing. Not once have I been upset with my meals here. I definitely recommend the boils here and the shrimp étouffée so much flavor and the crabs are very healthy (full of meat). The atmosphere is very lively and upbeat music. If you like to sing or wiggle while you eat this is definitely the place for you. Also Moses was very kind and patient with us. For a girl who never knows what she wants and sometimes feels pressured into making a quick decision, Mr. Moses not once made me feel rushed and Instead offered some insight on some dishes I might like. I was given a gift card for this restaurant that my dad purchased for $100. My dad paid cash at the bar for the gift card. So we come here to redeem this gift card for dinner. Mike the manager helped us and was actually no help at all. clearly the bartender pocketed 100 and gave us an unactivated gift card. I have worked at plenty of restaurants to know this happens in the service industry, yet Mike could not hear the story from our side nor even discount our meals!! So we come here to spend a gift card and have to pay out of pocket for the meal full price with no resolution at all. Mike claims that there is no upper management on duty today to look into this issue, but what kind of restaurant doesn't have a manager on duty to take care of these things? Usually at a restaurant there is a bar manager, kitchen manager and wait staff manager on premises. Every day, every shift. to not have any resolution to this problem is ridiculous. I ordered the weekend boil, and would definitely recommend it if you're planning on going here. To top it off the service was amazing! Yummy!!! I love this place to get my seafood and they have alot of spice to non-spice dressings. I usually order the weekday specials. I have been going to this Mr. Crabby's in Schertz since about August 2021. I haven't found any other restaurant that's better than this Mr. Crabby's. If you like seafood, Mr. Crabby's is a good choice. For $37 you can get 1/2 pound shrimp, a lobster tail, crab legs, 2 small potatoes, and 3 slices of sausage. The food is good, but the service needs to get better (it will tell you on the menu food won't be comped or refunded for bad service, says it all right there). Our server often forgot to bring things we asked for, and we were on our way home when we realized we had not even gotten parts of our meal and had to go back to get it. The service was great! I had the shrimp and crawfish. Typically with Cajun food there is a ton of flavor especially in a boil. It appears when the shrimp and crawfish are cooked it is cooked unseasoned and then the seasoning you choose is put over it. This left the crawfish very bland. One of the best restaurants I've eaten at since I moved to San Antonio! The food is incredible -- no other seafood boil I've had in San Antonio can compare. I can't stress enough how good everything I've tried here has been! Not only that, the entire staff is kind and so much fun! My most recent visit, i was served by Lyndsay in the bar area, and she was incredible! She was funny, friendly, and catered to my family's many, MANY requests. The atmosphere is wonderful and clean. A little cheaper for a tiny bit of shrimp. Big waste of money. Overpriced and small quantity of food. Save your money and go to...Laguna Madre or Red Lobster for the same quality of food and bigger portions for cheaper. probably the worst seafood boil we've had. in terms of flavor, we sure got the taste of butter!! as soon as the bag arrived, it was bright yellow and no seasoning specs/chunks...we'd never had this place before so i didn't want to judge too soon. the food came out nice and hot(clusters of snow crab was kinda wimpy and the sausage felt old). before digging in, tasted the boil and there wasn't nothing coating/sticking to any of the food...simply because it was all butter and maybe some salt n pepper. so it just slipped off the food making everything hella greasy. i found about 10 pieces of chopped garlic like out a jar (uniform pieces and not as pungent). we ordered HOT Mr Crabby Seasoning. which was every seasoning and the second to highest spice level! it had no flavor no kick no taste of any seasoning at all whatsoever. The meat was good, we was hungry. The environment was cool. Our servers were chill. But we came in to eat a good boil and the price we spent did not reciprocate. the manager came by asked us how we was so we was honest said we ain't want no trouble but we did order spicy and was wondering what the deal was. like you can take a look at the color of the dish and you'd know it wasn't spicy... like maybe there was a mixup. manager said oh "our hot level is terrible...we usually don't recommend but also our extra hot is like unbearable" i was pissed because how you gonna offer like 5 different spice levels and only come out with either butter or fire?? he didn't offer to fix it or discount ...like we didn't get what we paid for. he just shit on his own place...overall-don't go to this joint. i wasn't even expecting them to put they elbow innit. just didn't know they'd lack basic cooking skills if you be about seafood boils.. read more
