It's nice, bright and clean inside. They have around 20 tables to seat and eat. I order the flounder dinner with onion rings . My flounder and onion rings did not have ANY flavor. The tartar sauce was REALLY good, which helped save my fish taste lol. My husband had the chicken, he said it was good and had flavor. He did order a extra breast, it was a very small breast but was only $1.79, so I guess he got what he paid for. My son got the shrimp.. now his shrimp were good as well. Parking lot is ok not the best especially during the dinner rush. The service was great. Nice employees and helpful. I would go back. And I would try the fish dinner one more time. read more

I went through the drive thru and there was a nice man out there taking orders. I ordered a three piece dinner with Fried potato wedges and coleslaw. I will start with the chicken. The chicken was overcooked and extremely salty. Next the potato wedges. They were not all thoroughly cooked and taste like they We're cooked and sat out all day. The Coleslaw was probably the worst part. It taste it like store-bought coleslaw that has not been refrigerated. It just tasted old and flavorless. I will never go back to this place. This was the worst eight dollars that I have spent in a really long time. I would have been better off going to a fast food restaurant that wouldn't make me sick and would have so much more flavor so that I could enjoy some of my food read more

We've recently been exploring eating places in this area and this is such a wonderful find! The chicken was nice and crispy and simply delicious - I could compare to price's chicken coop in uptown Charlotte. The sides were pretty good, we particularly liked the crispy and yummy onion rings! My incentive for coming here was the drive thru, it was filled with cars. The parking lot the full so I assumed the food here must be good, standing room only. The drive thru was filled with cars but the wait was small, we moved pretty quickly thru the line. At the payment window I saw the huge staff they have running around fulfilling orders. My go to comfort food is their mashed potatoes when I am not feeling good. I love their chicken tenders with their honey mustard loaded baked potato and their ice!!! They have the food ice. Only wish they were open on Mondays. But this is my family's go to on nights I don't cook. read more

Awful! I spent over 80.00 for a family meal. The only edible item everyone liked was the fried chicken wings.

I got a fish dinner and I could tell that the ingredients or the persons preparing it obviously don't know how to make hush puppies because they were deep fried to. A crisp and they were hard. I don't know why but after however many years this place has been open, why did you change your fries. Nobody had a problem with the fries you had so I don't understand the change. It doesn't make sense for a food place to change something and replace it with something worse because those crinkle cut fries dont taste as good and were half cooked because they are so fat. I guess I'll just eat potato wedges and hope you dont end up changing those for no reason. But for anyone who liked their fries just know that they did what every other restaurant has done and switched to crinkle cut fries. I don't know why food places feel the need to be like each other. Your business was doing fine and people loved your food and then you change things to keep up with trends in the industry. It's a bad idea and while it's just fries for now I have a feeling it means that soon you will start changing other items and your restaurant won't be the same. My advice is don't people like your food the way it is so don't try catering to a group that doesn't even eat your food like younger people which is typically what restaurants try and do. read more

For over 30 years I have eaten at mr C's... always chicken salad and wedges... so we needed chicken salad for my daughters bridal shower and I thought no store Bought we are getting mr c's... so apparently it's made with the leftover fried chicken.. gristle small bones nasty breading it's all in there because I had to pick through it so my guests wouldn't find it on their croissant... I took all extra things I had took from the chicken salad back to show the manager the next day and he didn't do a thing but give me a small container of the same stuff for my trouble... I can't rate this place anything but a full 5 stars. This is a no frills, honest and good go to, family friendly spot. Up front, we always get some chicken even if we know it's just to eat the next day. But, the real reason to go is the potato wedges. My partner is addicted and they are his favorite. I myself recommend getting their homemade sauces- both the ranch and honey mustard. I am not a ranch dressing fan usually but this stuff is divine. Every time I've had the chicken it's cooked the same with a lot of flavor and crisp. I love that they cut up the breast meat so it's the same size as dark meat so it's better for sharing. So we drove from CLT to try the wings specifically but also wanted to get a calabash shrimp plate and a tossed salad. You don't see it pictured of course, because we didn't get it. Please CHECK THE BAG before you pull off, EVEN after being told to pull up and wait in spot 1 for 15 minutes. Wow. I've been hearing good things about this place, but definitely won't be trusting anyone who tells me it is "the best fried chicken" again. Breading on the chicken wasn't crunchy, not seasoned, dry, and the size of the pieces wasn't great (I'm going to chalk that size thing up to chicken shortage during this virus crisis.) Mr C's has the best chicken, I love the chicken tenders dinner, #10. Great food at a fair price. Always fast. Years ago when a neighbor suggested Mr. C's, my wife an I went there and ordered sea food, it was good but we aren't sea food lovers so we didn't have a desire to go back. Then one day while in the area, we decided to try their chicken tenders, they were great. So now we go there about once every week or two. I go through the drive thru to order food and everytime I do, I ask them not to forget to add the spear pickle, but once again they have forgotten. I don't understand why they fail to give people going through the drive thru the pickle but when you go inside they give it to you? Not that impressed. I went through drive through on a pretty packed day. Order was quick and service was nice but the food is subpar. I got chicken wings with mashed potatoes and a roll. This is not only the BEST chicken in Cabarrus County, the people who work at Mr. C's are truly amazing. I had a snafu and needed to get dinner to feed 30 guests at the Salvation Army homeless shelter FAST. The manager at Mr. C's helped me place my order during an extremely busy time Sunday evening. My food was ready in less than 15 minutes! And the manager helped me put everything in my car after paying what I'm sure was a discounted price. The night shelter guests LOVED Mr. C's chicken and sides. I am so thankful for the kind, compassionate and friendly service that Mr. C. offered me and in turn those staying at the shelter. The chicken salad with the zesty ranch cracker from the fresh market up the road it's the best combo in match heaven lol. Another favorite of mines would be the tartar sauce. My apologies tartar sauce and fish . Some of the best tartar sauce I've come across. Not sure why it's taken so long for me to tell the world about Mr.C's when I visit so often. Huge disappointment. I read some of the reviews and heard praise of this place from people I know so we figured we'd get some takeout. I got the three piece chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and my wife got the two piece chicken en dinner. I asked if we could each get a breast in our dinners and the rest to be thighs. When we opened it up we both got all thighs. No big deal because I really like thighs. I put a little salt on the chicken like I do whenever I get chicken and took a bite. I'm telling you that salt I put on there was the only spice that wAs in that chicken. This was the mossy bland chicken I have ever eaten. There wasn't any spice on the chIcken itself and there certainly wasn't any in the coating. Granted, I don't live in North Carolina and so maybe it's different here but where I come from, flour doesn't come pre-seasoned. You need to salt and pepper it at least. It could be that they ran out of salt because they put I it all in the coke slaw and mashed potatoes. By the way, the Cole slaw was warm. Definitely not going back.
