Went to Johnny Rogers in Gibson mill and got the goat cheese burger and sweet potato fries. They had everything out and it was a pretty good burger. I love all things goat cheese so I knew what I was getting right when I saw the burger description. They had bbq on the menu as well.

Stumbled upon this food hall while in the area and decided upon Johnny Roger's! The menu looks good and the vendor's area clean, so three of us ordered from here. I ordered the blackened chicken wrap with American cheese instead of provolone, and a side salad instead of fries. It definitely seemed like the people at the counter were a little overwhelmed and flustered but still got through the order of myself and my friends. When the "it's done!" buzzer went off the food was just on the counter off to the side waiting so it was kind of just an honor system to make sure you take what's yours. That was fine, but the one thing I didn't like was they had my receipt sitting ON the wrap instead of next to the tray. I just wouldn't have put receipt tape on food (they also did this on my friend's wrap, with a toothpick through it). It was a little difficult to get someone's attention long enough to get a fork with my salad (my friend didn't have to ask for one, his salad had one) but I eventually got one. The food itself was absolutely wonderful! Great portions and flavors. I enjoyed it a lot. I was surprised how big the side salad was. The wrap was delicious. I had to take half of it to go! I would go back if in the area but won't drive super out of my way to return.

The GOAT burger was very tasty. The French fries were very good also. I ordered online which is more expensive than ordering it inside the restaurant. Everyone was very nice and friendly. They had plenty of seats inside and outside.

People working their were very nice but Average BBQ. $3.99 for a soft drink is robbery.

You can't go wrong with JR at either location BUT I wish they had their kids meals at Gibson Mill.

Sometimes simple of the way to go. Lettuce, American Cheese, tomatoes, crinkled pickles, onions, and their "good good sauce." This all came together with the 100% premium angus beef (antibiotic and hormone free) smash-burgers perfectly cooked. The fried were very good, nicely crispy, but not overdone. Service was friendly and very quick. I highly recommend this place if you want a great burger.

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

The case was full of cookies and a few petalcakes (aka cupcakes) After speaking to the nice young man behind the counter that said some batches of cookies had just come out of the oven, we went for two cookies. A classic chocolate chip and a fresh out of the oven s'mores. Prices were not listed anywhere we could see, but we were in for the sweet treat. I was, however, taken aback a bit that two cookies were $10 and some change, but having said that they were delicious cookies. Especially the s'mores. We're still pulling for Gibson Mill Market to make it because it's such a great concept. The atmosphere is great for meeting up with friends and hanging out with a beverage.

After walking around a little bit, we grabbed lunch in the food court. The food will be reviewed separately. Highbranch Brewing is downstairs with a gaming place. There's an antique mall and Cabbarus Brewing in an adjacent building that is very large. We'll probably stop by here again someday to enjoy it during a little busier time. Recommend stopping in here.

I loved the decor inside and the wall art hanging by our booth. To drink, I tried the Daddy's Dragonberry (10/10) very refreshing and fruity. It was also strong and gave a good buzz. To eat, we started with an Onion Rings basket (10/10) they were hot and fresh and the sauce served with them was yummy. I also ordered the Bistro burger with Parmesan truffle fries (10/10) my burger was flavorful, all of the toppings meshed well together and the fries were fresh and crispy. My meal was sooo good!! Thrilled to find this because then the whole family was happy. Hostess was so speedy to seat us which we greatly thanked her as we were all quite hungry and it was quite past a few family members normal lunch times! Our server Savannah was helpful and pointed out all the of the seasonal specials when we asked what she would recommend and if there are any new items on the menu. Whole family liken the brie and bacon bites and cranberry sauce that comes with them. I asked if they had any mocktails and was delighted that not only did they but Savannah recommended one that I totally loved. We regularly doordash Bad Daddy's and I think that their tater tots are stand out. This location was no exception. They are the perfect texture and flavor every time. We ordered an assortment of burgers and everyone's order arrived exactly as requested from temp to which items or condiments to be included. They grabbed us some mayo when we asked for some for the tater tots. Whole family sans me loved the specialty sauce they make. It was ok but I am also not as into sauces as the rest of the fam :) For dessert we ordered the Oreo cheesecake and the banana pudding. Both were phenomenal and everyone was thrilled with. Excellent banana pudding flavors, texture and layers. I think may be one of the best I have ever had. Definitely in my top 5. Family that had the Oreo cheesecake loved it, thought it was a unique take and did not leave any on the plate nor did they need a to go bag. I found all the desserts to be a shareable size for us. Would absolutely return and recommend!

The restaurant was a ghost town on a Sunday evening. Maybe everyone is still eating Thanksgiving leftovers? Since there were 3 of us, we opted for an order of 3 tenders, 3 sliders, and 3 fry flavors. It was definitely enough for us to all share. The tenders were nice and crispy and the sweet chili sauce was good. I picked the Green Flag slider with bacon and pickles, very tasty. The little burger was cooked perfectly. For the fries we went with beer cheese and bacon, MW dusted, and Cajun. The Cajun were the best of the 3. The MW dust is a little on the sweet side which I didn't mind because I was dipping mine in the leftover sweet chili sauce. I was hoping to be able to pick tots as one of the 3 options but it was fries or tots, no mixing. I was also a little disappointed that the entrees options did not come with any sides. Since they were dead, the hostess was also our server. She was sweet. She answered all of our questions with ease. She didn't check back as much as I would have preferred for refills and the check but it wasn't a terrible wait. I think I was just ready to hit the road for the long ride home. They have a serious number of TVs for a sports bar so I'm sure if you are a football fan, you'll be able to watch your game, or better yet, a NASCAR race once the season starts back in February. Overall, decent bar food with plenty of TVs for sports spectators.

The servers were appropriately dressed (other driver owned restaurants may lack this) and helpful. They have good beer on tap that I believe is brewed there. My husband loved his burger. My sauced tenders were good. I liked the bacon cheese fries and the dusted fries. Know that sides are extra with the exception of kids meals. We will be back.
