if i could give this place 0 stars, i absolutely would. i got my car towed for "parking over the visitor's hours". we show up to pick it up and asked for my info, told them it was all in my car. they took me through a door and my boyfriend asked if he could come with because it was just me and the guy. the guy asked my boyfriend to close the door, but my boyfriend didn't hear him, so he asked again. the guy turned around and was like, " i said close the door bro" and slammed the door in my boyfriends face very aggressively. i was absolutely livid because there was no need for the guy to do that, especially if my boyfriend asked politely and was just making sure i was safe. mind you, my car got towed at 11:20pm and we were there within 10 minutes - $397!! for my car being there less than an hour, their prices are absolutely ridiculous and they don't care. they're money hungry, rude, and smells like nothing but pot. don't know how a company like this is still in business. read more

I have had my car towed before through another towing company. That experience was terrible and still hurts til this day. This time around, I let my daughter use my parking space in my apartment complex because I had surgery recently and she was going to be my driver and caregiver during this time. I should have obtained permission from my property manager first, it's a mistake that could have saved us 265. So, I do accept responsibility for the towing that happened recently. Just wish I could have just received a warning since it was my actual parking space just didn't have a sticker but I now have the temporary pass displayed. The staff was professional over the phone and in person. They weren't rude and obnoxious and treated our car with respect. That's the reason why I am writing this fair review. Towed one of my cars for being parked where it shouldn't have been parked, understandable. My problem was their unskilled tow truck driver messing up the factory skirts on my car. Just so everyone is aware of their prices the tow is $270 plus the minute your car arrives on the lot you are subject to $88 parking fee per day. If you pick your car up on the weekend you are subject to a $130 "weekend fee". For a 0.5 mile tow, two days of storage and their "weekend fee" I paid $654. If my insurance company ever offered me a tow from here I would pay out of pocket for an experienced company instead. read more

Let's rewind the clock back a year and a half ago when I had my experience with this business. I live in a private community which requires parking passes. During this time, the security company that guards the property had hired several new guards that watched the cars in the morning hours. This particular night, One of the guards mistakenly called the Tow Truck because they did not see my parking pass in the heavy rain. Luckily my car alarm went off and I got the alert right as they grabbed it. I came running as they were pulling away my car and I asked the guard wtf was going on. The guard claimed that they didn't see the pass, which I simply replied with "yes it's right there". The rookie then got in her car to try to catch the truck driver which by this point was driving out of the property. I sprinted down 2 flights of stairs and down the long driveway in the pouring rain to try and grab the driver's attention. She managed to stop the driver and She explained what had happened and all he could say is "It's hooked, I can't" I explained the situation and the guy just kept saying "It's not my problem, you have to come down and get it, it's already hooked". At this point he just put the truck in drive and sped off with the car. I couldn't even look at the security guard past that point. (Their review is imminent) The car was priority so I called a ride over to the tow yard about an hour later. When I arrived at the yard, there was no one at the window so I knocked and one of the employees finally came and I told him I was there to pick up my car and he told me I couldn't pick up my car and to come back in 24hrs because they had yet to process the paperwork and forward it to the police. I knew this was a lie because I've helped a friend retrieve a car within hours at another yard. So he keeps feeding me bs until I get him to budge. He had a tone with me because his wife was there behind the window as well. He asks for my license and leaves for about 15 mins and finally comes back with paperwork. As I'm filling this thing out, he tells me it's going to be $400. This is outrageous! I demand to see the rates and he can't provide any. We go back and forth about the price and he tells me "you want your car or not?" I had to walk away from the window for a few seconds to regain control of myself. I finally agreed to his terms because price only goes higher. On the filthy window, there's stickers with the various accepted payment methods. Credit cards are one of them so I go ahead and hand him my card. He says "we don't do credit" I ask why and he told me they just don't. So I point to the sticker on HIS window and tell him, you take credit, says right here. Then he tries to switch it around and say the machines are down. More Bullshit. So I hand him my card and he's not taking it. He told me I needed to pay cash or debit. I tell him, you're gonna try this card, I want to see that it doesn't work. He says "I can't" and I keep saying, I want to see you try it. So he leaves to the back for a few seconds and comes back and finally takes my card. He swipes it, says it doesn't work. I tell him, try it again but this time he brings the card reader closer and the screen lights up and the transaction goes through. Absolutely no words. He gave me the receipt, signed off on the paperwork, gave me my cards with a look on his face. He then rung up one of the guys in the back gate to let my car out and they just left it in the dirty alley before I could even walk back there. Putting aside the Security Guard's Negligence, the tow yard is a total scam. The people here are clearly no strangers to stealing from the public. 1. They'll try to keep your car in for as long as possible so that they can double the fees. 2. They'll pretend their system is down or that some forms of payment aren't accepted probably to skim from cash payments and to minimize paper trails. 3. They are very rude people, no sort of people skills or care for one's property. If you guy's are reading this, get out of the business. It's companies like you that give the industry a bad rep. All I can say is my RR was in need of an experienced tow company. I live in Corona CA and I called 3 tow companies. 2 said no and 1 company came by and the driver started talking about the little body damage I had and he said he wasn't confident. (Bro wt_? I asked for a driver not a body shop dude... ) So my last 7 days prior to calling MR'C's was a nightmare to say the lease. I called MR'C and got a very welcome call by the woman at the desk who assured me their guys are most definitely experienced with Luxury cars. She gave me a 3-4 hour window before they could arrive. That didn't happen! They got to my home under 2 hours! Yeah baby... and to top it off they knew exactly what to do on the spot... I was almost in unbelief after all those negative reactions I had received from the other towing companies. BUT check this part out... This is the type of place that would tow your car in front of your own garage as soon as you brought pizza home for the kids, helped your mother in law put the baby back to sleep, took a quick piss and prepared to head back to the hospital where your wife was helping her sister in the ER due to a concussion incident. That's what happened tonight, they profited off of a very difficult time, as most of these "courtesy" tow companies do. The staff is not very understanding, they could care less if you're upset. In fact, if you're upset after thinking your car was stolen, find out it was towed, and drive 20 minutes from Anaheim to Los Alamitos where they have the car, the front desk lady will call you an asshole and threaten to extort you even more by trying to keep the vehicle overnight in a 24 hour facility that is open 24/7 just to rip people off. Extortion is illegal, buddy! Just FYI. Then, when you explain the situation, it is regarded as you "shouldn't park like an asshole" in your own apartment, in front of your garage. The irony here is, when I pulled up and got chewed out, threatened, and insulted by a grotesque lady behind 4 inches of glass and heavy duty walls, I noted the terminology and pointed not but 15 feet from where I was standing at the company's tow truck, parked in a handicap spot, in a firelane and idling for well over 15 minutes (Idling Laws in California dictate that a vehicle is not allowed to idle for over 5 minutes) and said "you mean like that?" Which made her toss another round of insults and threats at me in front of my wife, who I had to pickup in her car in order to be dropped off at the Tow Truck shop. So much snark and sass. This company towed my car from the back of the apartment complex I live in. I was parked head to head with another vehicle towards the wall. I went to their office the following morning to speak to the manager Toni. She had no customer service skills. I asked her for proof of me blocking the garage and she had the tow driver show me some pictures that were taken in certain angles (blocking the car that was also parked in front of me).Although my car is parked near the garages, it was not blocking their entry or exit, as I pointed this out to the driver he started to get defensive. He then started to gaslight me, this is when I stopped engaging with this person. Good thing that I was able to use that same car (they failed to include in their pictures) to take pictures of my own from all angles which shows I was not blocking a garage as they claimed. ( pics are stamped with date and time) Not only did they fail to prove I was blocking a garage as they claimed but they also made me pay close to $300 to recover my vehicle. As I was making the payment the driver is telling his coworkers in a loud voice that I was just mad because he only towed my vehicle and not the vehicle in front of me and they all started laughing loudly, all while the manager was standing there. I clarified with the manager I was not upset the other car did not get towed, I was upset due to the driver claiming I was blocking the garage. Furthermore, that them laughing and making assumptions while I am standing there was totally unprofessional. The manager just had a poker face with no response . I am going to file a small claim against this company for fraud. From what I see I am not their only victim and these reviews will only strengthen my case. My experience with Mr. C's towing is exceptionally excellent. The owner Ricky, is a great human being. I had no issue recouping my vehicle and although there was damage to my new vehicle due to a simple accident at the tow yard. They paid for my damage repairs in full. The owner sometimes works in the tow vehicle as well, so if you can't get a hold of him right away, be patient and kind and he will certainly respond. This tow company is about as crooked as any out there. They mistakenly towed away my car and rather own up to their mistake, keep insisting I was parked improperly even when the lot owner said I had every right to park there. I came to see my son's Christmas performance at Sonshine Preschool one Friday morning. The lot where I parked is owned by the preschool/Church, but residents of the neighboring Vicino apartment homes are allowed to park in a certain part of the lot from 6pm to 8am with a permit. I arrived at the lot at 8:45am that morning for my son's 9am performance. After the performance was over, I couldn't find my car and eventually found out through the preschool that Mr C had towed it away while I was watching my son's performance. The preschool staff had come out while the tow truck driver was in the process of towing my car and insisted/demanded he stop to no avail. Apparently, the tow truck driver insisted to the school staff that he had seen my car before around the apartments (wrong), and thus I was parked illegally outside permissible apartment parking hours without a permit. The school staff tried to tell the tow truck driver that vehicles from the apartment usually carry a sticker/permit which my car did not have (since I have no affiliation whatsoever with the apartment), but the tow truck driver would not take no for an answer and towed my car against preschool staff protest. After the school staff told me what happened, I had a friend take me to Mr Cs Los Alamitos storage facility and the lady who works the front desk made up a story saying that cars for the preschool are not allowed to park on that lot. I called the preschool who confirmed this is simply not true. While Mr C did not charge me for picking up my car, they never apologized for their mistake and instead kept insisting I was parked illegally. This was such a big fat waste of time for me. I would have been willing to forgive them had they simply apologized and owned up to their mistake but instead, they kept sticking to their made up lies that I was parked illegally. I have an electric car and while it seems to drive OK after receiving it from Mr C, I'm really worried they may have caused damage to the car from incorrect towing (a real possibility since their tow driver doesn't follow basic instructions/rules). At 1-2am I realized my car was missing and after phoning around, I found out my car was towed by this company (my fault for not seeing the "reserved" sign). About $5.00 worth of quarters from the center console.
