Mr. D's my go-to spot. A little out of the way from where I live but it's well worth the drive. Super friendly staff, always answers any questions I have with some good info/recommendations. They have a pretty good variety of products, stuff you wouldn't find at your average liquor store. One of my favorites being these lil sake juice boxes. They will try to cheat you if you order on line. What a horrible experience! They took my order but could not fulfill it. I tried to mmm their help desk system, but it's automated, and I never got service. I had to call several times to try to get a refund to my card. They finally applied the refund, then pulled it back. I'm talking about $658!! Mind you, my order was canceled, I never received goods, and was not going to receive anything. Still, they were playing games, perhaps hoping I wouldn't notice that they pulled the charge back. I had to dispute the charge with my card company. Find somewhere else to buy your booze! read more

Bad experience. Ordered a case of wine, looking for a particular year. Merchant didn't have in stock, offered to send next year at same price. Asked for a refund instead via email (they don't answer phones). Month long process to get my money refunded. Amazing how it was refunded the same day I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Lesson learned, review Yelp reviews prior to on-line purchase. read more

Wish I had noticed that the first two reviews were sponsored (fake) reviews at 4 1/2 stars...and local. The remaining 1 star reviews are exactly what I am experiencing. I ordered on Feb 17 with the expectations of 5-7 day shipping and as of today March 8, nothing has been shipped...I did received a response to my email that it was taking longer to prepare the bottles for shipping, and the 4 bottles of wine that I ordered would be shipped on March 1. Didn't happen!!! A note to YELP...Why do you allow the false 4-5 star reviews to be posted at the top? I guess my next step is the BBB and the Consumer Protection Agency. Looked through their catalog and found some really neat and interesting wines/sake I've never seen before, so I decided to come by and check the place out. Its a small hidden spot when talking to one of their workers they explained how if I was trying to get something specific its better to order online because they handle the more specific bottles online. Took a look around their show room and found sake juice boxes I didn't even knew they came that way! I'm glad I stopped by and am overall very content with the boxes. read more

ordered $550 worth of wine. of the 12 bottles, they did not have six, it was a mixed case, and I was informed of that after I received no contact from them for three weeks on shipping of my order. they offered some replacement bottles and to have a few bottles shipped at a future date in a separate shipment. I requested that they cancel the order, as they had charged me over a month prior to this email communication. they offered to ship - with the replaced items, drop the bottles that would have been on back order (since suddenly they weren't going to get those) and ship thy remainder with an appropriate credit for the back ordered bottles and a full credit for the total freight. I agreed. I did get a credit for the bottles but no credit for freight, and no adjustment either even though my order turned out to be for less bottles. All subsequent attempts (numerous emails, phone messages) to reach this merchant were unsuccessful; PayPal contacted them on my behalf with the same result: zero response. They substituted a 2020 vintage with 2021 without consulting. Obviously this is a common practice for them as they pointed to fine print which says they could switch. So a clothes retailer can ship trousers instead of shirts if their fine print says they can? Beware! read more

Don't do it - it's a rip-off. They represent they have wine that they don't, charge your card, and then don't ship it. Unfortunately, I read the many poor reviews only after I ordered. When they did not ship my wine after two weeks, after one inquiry promised they expected to ship within 10 business days, I threatened to report them both to my credit card company and the BBB. That prompted them to refund my order. They blamed it on "shipping delays". Right. These people are crooks. read more

What happened was I ordered 4 bottles of Thibault Belair a month ago and they never shipped them to me. On the day I asked for a refund (a month later), I checked their website and they have the item available. I called them and asked them why bottles are still not shipped, the employee said "we don't have it". That was it. Period. They dont care.
