Let me start with saying Laura is amazing and she went above and beyond to educate me when I had no intentions of buying. I was shopping for the perfect engagement ring setting and I had found a place in Brooklyn that had just what I wanted. I was walking down the street and literally walked into the glass in front of their store. One of the ladies waved me in. I went in and explained that I already had a diamond and was settled on a place to get the setting. Laura popped up and asked to see it. As I was talking to her I discovered she had to be the only Italian woman in the whole diamond district. Disclaimer: I'll shop with anyone, no discrimination! I just loved it because I'm Italian and she reminded me of a family member who was very special to me. With that said, She was a pivotal figure in my final decision for a setting. I had been nuts for months trying to find the right thing. Even had another jeweler in NJ fail 3 times at a custom design. One of her employees returned with a setting that looked almost identical to what I was going to get from another shop. I couldn't believe it. After discussing price and procedure, I felt really taken care of and that I was getting straight information and answers. She assured me that the diamond would be set right in front of me, (as I expected) whereas the place in NJ wanted me to drop it off for a few days. WHAT??? My deceased mom's diamond? I don't think so! Laura took every step and precaution to make me comfortable and give me exactly what I wanted. I really felt like she was looking out for me and that goes a long way. When I went back for the diamond to be set, I had discussed that I saw the reviews on here after leaving from the first visit. I have to admit, I was extremely surprised to read a few, as those did not at all reflect the kind of experience I had with Laura and her crew. I got the ring back in May, and finally had the perfect scenario to propose to my girlfriend this past Friday. Yes, female couple. I've been waiting till I gave it to her to post this in case my gf somehow saw my account and review (being that I rarely review). Anyway, she loves it! HORRIBLE!! My husband (then fiance) took me here to select a diamond engagement ring. I picked a ring, got the paperwork that stated I could trade this in and they would give me the amount we paid back if I trade in on a higher priced diamond. So 9 years later 12/22/16, we go back to trade this ring in and get a different setting. They were very nice showing us settings in our price range and then I pulled out my paperwork. Boy did the attitude change! They told us to come back in an hour so they could go to their "vault". OK, we came back in an hour. They gave us such a hard time with this trade in. They said they had nothing in our price range, had no interest in helping us. What a rip off! I could wipe my butt with this paperwork. Also, I look more carefully at the paperwork and we originally bought an enhanced diamond! We were never told this at the time of purchase! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
