I also wanted a second set of eyes to check all my work and inspect everything once in a while, so I dropped my bike off at Fairfax Cycles. The main service I requested was to replace the front fork and exchange the fork and brake oils. I bought the Ohlins fork from Partszilla and dropped it off at the shop. I was missing some other small parts needed, and they were able to order it for me. I had a budget I wanted to stick to, and they were able to work with me to meet my budget and the services I needed. They were very flexible. For the amount of work done on my bike, I'd say the price was fair. The place is very busy all year round, though. Please set your expectations. You'll likely have to wait to get serviced. You'll also need to pick up ASAP. I felt good about all the services performed on the bike. The installed Ohlins fork makes the bike so much better. Will I come back, a definite yes.

I was a bit intimidated to walk in as I dont look like a stereotypical motorcyclist but the gentlemen was super friendly and fast with helping me. I brought in a broken clutch lever that I didnt have the right tools to fix it myself. He was super quick to fix it for me and didnt even charge me for the quick fix! I spoke with a really nice girl at the front and she was super helpful. I also spoke with one of the other guys that worked there when I had came back to actually drop the bike off and they were both really cool. They answered all my questions and they were just cool to talk to. They did a great job on my bike and gave me the best deal that they could. My moped tire was making an odd noise and didn't feel right. I brought it here. The mechanic said…read morethe inner tube had to be replaced. Over $300 later, I drive it home and after a few miles, the tire still has issues. I reached out and the gentlemen agreed to come onsite to fix it. He never showed up without any notice. I then took it to an authorized Yamaha mechanic who told me "someone put an inner tube in your tire, a tire that does not require an inner tube". This was not only extremely dangerous but did damage to my bike which cost me even more money. I've reached out several times trying to resolve this amicably. I asked for a partial refund on the labor and the charge for the inner tube. He refused. Then he said he would. Then he said he would give me $100 back. Then he said he would give me the entire amount back but over a payment plan. I agreed and then payment never came. I would not recommend this place to someone as they do not know something as essential as mopeds do not get inner tubes into tires.
