MRP is a great place to have performance modifications and maintenance done to your motorcycle. They're run by a really nice group of guys who are very knowledgeable and have top tier business ethics. If you leave and something's not right, they will make it right. I've never been disappointed and have used MRP several times in the last year getting my 2013 CBR1000RR Dialed in perfectly. (I happen to be OCD about how my bikes set up so I've come back several times for other tweaks and fine tuning of suspension components, quick shifter ect). All of their work is exceptional! These guys are very "proactive" when they finish something or have an update they don't seem to wait a minute to email/call me about the status of my motorcycle. I always feel like I'm being treated as if my business is very important to them. My '01 Triumph Bonneville got horribly neglected for a couple of years (mea culpa) because of some extreme family issues. In the end, I found MRP and that's a really good thing. It took awhile, but Kenny and his crew got my Bonnie running better than new as he said they would. The day before pickup, Kenny called and asked for another day because, "something just isn't quite right." He found the issue, tweaked it, and this bike rides better at 21 than it did brand new! Note to any customers visiting for the first time: when you enter the store's parking lot from Ritchie Hwy/Rt 2, go around to the back of the building - that's where they've moved to, now. I've taken my bike to this shop for maintenance and repairs that are beyond my current skill level (if you need help bleeding an ABS system, this is the place to go!), and can't say I have a single complaint. I'm actually a bit sad I'm moving away soon, because I'll have to find a new mechanic that I can trust and rely on if I can't get something done myself. They're the cheapest motorcycle mechanics I've found in a 20-mile radius, at $75/hr as of this review. Yet, the quality of their work is better than I've seen at any other shops I've personally visited, or heard about from close friends. They work quickly, meaning you don't get overcharged with outrageous labor fees, but they still manage to maintain a keen attention to detail (such as making sure my LED wiring was put back EXACTLY as I had it when I dropped it off). It's very little things like that which I personally notice right away, and appreciate more than they probably know. The staff - Daniel (in parts) and Kenny (in repairs) - are great to work with and will often go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, whether it be parts, gear, or just knowledge for the road. They obviously have plenty of experience, and are more than happy to share the knowledge gained from it with anyone who's interested. They knew exactly what to recommend for me when it came to choosing things like chain cleaner and lubricant, coolant, oil, etc. and their prices actually seem to be a little bit cheaper than other stores and even online retailers. Obviously, you pay tax, but you have the advantage of getting it right away and having someone there to help you along the way. Their gear selection is quite small, but they do carry hard-to-find brands such as RS Taichi. Another great thing I like about the staff here is that they seem to get to know each and every customer whom they do business with, and remember them (and their bikes) when they return. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone needing any sort of work done on their bike (they were even able to extract a snapped bolt on my bike for me), or anyone looking for spare parts, maintenance products, or gear. read more

I stumbled on MRP when I was looking for a tuner within a hundred miles of me, and calling through the DynoJet list, only MRP was real. Checking around with other motorcycle guys I found that MRP's real strength lay in a deep understanding of motorcycle suspension. My Triumph Rocket III has a weak spot in the suspension and I discussed with Kenny of MRP options, and we agreed on Race Tech Gold Valve cartridge emulators. He asked for half up front to cover the special order, and we made an appointment for me to ride up. It was an adventure, riding 67 miles there, and being reminded by rude Maryland roads why I needed the suspension upgrade. Once there, Kenny took charge of the bike, got it on the lift. He explained everything he was doing -- it was beautiful for a techno geek like me. I was amazed at his artistry and skill as he disassembled the forks, modified the tubes, installed the new valves, new oil, and reassembled and reinstalled the forks. The bike really needed a new set of tires, and I had ordered tires from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and shipped to MRP -- no problem. Kenny dismounted both wheels, and with great care changed both tires. Kenny road the bike one lap around the building. I paid the remainder of the bill, and was off. The bike was a different -- much better -- machine on the way home. And Kenny is a combat veteran -- and like most true veterans is quiet about it. He is all about service still, and I felt really important while in his shop. I liked that experience so much, I took my Honda CTX700D back to him last week, where he replaced both front and rear suspension. And while the bike was apart, one of the techs noted that the front brake pads were almost gone -- Kenny had them in stock and replaced them for me. Also the original estimate did not include new dust seals for the forks, and when he took the forks apart he showed me they were old and cracking and needed replacement. Same ride home, same new bike experience. Kenny really knows his craft and his word is gold. If you can't afford good, you should be doing something else, different machines, something. I really feel sorry for C F. who apparently hasn't a clue, and poor Mark H. who also doesn't understand the value of expert work. In practice, I'm a bit of an anomaly in that MRP mostly serves track bikes who demand the best and just don't have time to mess with Yelp (or any other) reviews. They vote with their feet and dollars and fill MRP's shop. Kenny and MRP is a rare find in these parts - the real deal - doesn't get any better. I will be going back at least two more times for work I need, and have 100% confidence it'll be done right, where it counts. read more

Kenny does great work but the customer service is trash. Daniel is who I dealt with and he was VERY unprofessional. He tried to charge me for my own parts I took there and dropped off. Then Daniel told me I that didn't bring the parts. He also tried to charge me $600 for a clutch job and an additional $200 for parts. I will never go back...I promise myself that! read more

This place has an excellent reputation, and it shows. I previously went to the other, uh, "well known" motorcycle repair shop in the area for a used motorcycle inspection and to fix a couple issues. That shop tried to take advantage of me, and I needed another option. I am thrilled I found MRP motorsports, they will be my goto mechanic from now on.
