He gave me several options for blouse styles, and was very accommodating to all of my concerns about fit.

Marina at Le Caprice is a lifesaver!…read more I ordered a Vivienne Westwood gown from a very popular bridal shop. When I tried it on during pickup, I knew something was off. It took 3 stylists just to hook the dress together before it could be zipped up. I had not gained any weight since ordering, and the dress felt like it had been ordered a size too small. The stylist who was helping me put on the dress kept reassuring me that the gown had a hard corset, and because it was strapless, it was meant to fit that tightly. Well before my actual wedding, I had my courthouse ceremony... I needed a lot of help to get the dress hooked on, and when it came time to drive to the courthouse, I couldn't even sit up. I had to lean the car seat all the way back in order to make it to the courthouse. The entire afternoon I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to drink water. After that experience, I brought my dress to Marina at Le Caprice. She took one look at my back and didn't even bother zipping me up. She assured me that my dress was too small, that it was not just in my head, and offered to remove the zipper and replace it with a corset back! I was nervous because I really loved the top part of my dress and how snatched it made my waist look, but when I received my dress it still looked just as perfect! Not only that, but I was completely comfortable in it when I was sitting and eating at my reception (: Marina was able to complete the alterations super fast at a fair price and I think the corset was elegantly executed. I highly recommend coming to Le Caprice!

My dress and veil were steamed before pick up, and I was glowing on my wedding day

I needed two suede jackets with zippers shortened, and from the research I had done online, I knew it wouldn't be an easy job. The first alteration shop I visited immediately tried to discourage me from doing the alteration and suggested I buy new jackets instead. They repeatedly emphasized how difficult it would be to cut the zipper and work with suede. Then I went to Kim's, and the experience was completely different. I was welcomed with a positive, can-do attitude right away. She was confident about the work and even quoted me a lower price than the first shop. One week later, I picked up two perfectly fitted suede zipper jackets. The quality of the work is fantastic. I've already received several compliments on them, and I was especially impressed that the original zippers were preserved. they didn't alter the look of the jackets at all. I'm extremely happy with the results and will definitely be coming back!

Unfortunately, today's experience completely changed my opinion of this business. When I came to pick up my clothes, I brought another garment that had a tiny loose thread. I politely asked if they could spare about a foot of matching thread so I could repair it myself. It was such a small favor that would have cost virtually nothing. The gentleman I spoke with refused and repeatedly told me to go buy it somewhere else, even after I explained that I had already looked but couldn't find the exact matching color. What disappointed me wasn't the thread--it was the lack of courtesy and consideration shown to a loyal customer. After almost 10 years of bringing my clothes here, I never expected such an unfriendly response to such a simple request. Great customer service isn't just about cleaning clothes--it's about treating people with kindness and making customers feel valued. A tiny act of goodwill could have left a lasting positive impression. Instead, I left feeling disappointed and unappreciated. After nearly a decade of being a loyal customer, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope this business realizes that customer loyalty is earned not only through the quality of the work, but also through kindness, respect, and genuine customer service.

I've brought in plenty of pants for tapering, shortening, taking in the waist, etc. Last winter I brought in pants that were off the rack and a little long with a 32 length. As usual, I tried them on with shoes and Kim helped measured the length to shorten and I picked them up a week later. Super quick process. I didn't try them on at pickup since I had a lot of work done by her previously so I had no reason to doubt her work. Unfortunately I went 3 months without wearing them but when I did, they were still far too long so I had to bring them in again. I explained the situation and when she examined the pants, she told me it was still the factory stitching so there wasn't any work done by her or any other tailor. I was surprised by that, and that she didn't recognize her own work. I assured her I brought them in just a few months prior. When she remeasured the length, she marked to pants to shorten another 1 1/8 in. She said that she always cuts the length requested by customers and so it was my fault and had to pay again for work on the pants. I have all my pants around 29 inseam so this obviously was not accurate and rather annoying she tried to blame me for the incorrect length since she was the one who previously measured. I needed them done so I went ahead. I didn't want to leave a review about this but the following experience was embarrassing and needed to share. I recommended her shop to a friend who needed to shorten the length of 2 curtains but had a horrible experience. At pickup, Kim casually mentioned that 1 of the curtains were already damaged at drop-off and that she decided to do a free patching for the damage. My friend was not notified of any damage prior to pickup, and furious there wasn't any sort of communication. She couldn't even return the "already damaged" curtains because of Kim's unilateral decision to patch the hole. I felt responsible so I sent my friend $600 to cover the cost of curtains. If there was truly damage already, why wouldn't you inform the customer first to decide options?! This used to be my go to tailor but it's now on my blacklist.
