Our dog always comes home happy and tired from playing with the other dogs. I love that he gets so much exercise and socialization! He's really well taken care of here. He even had a medical issue once during boarding. Park-a-Pup immediately called us to notify us, and we came back early from our trip to take him to the vet. If they hadn't been so prompt, he may not have survived. We'll be happy customers of Park-a-Pup as long as our dog is alive!

Natalie was busy bathing a large dog and let me know that she doesn't take walk ins for nail trims, so I set an appointment for 1 p.m. and headed home. When I arrived at 1 p.m., she was very friendly, my dog really liked her. Natalie came and sat on the bench with Frankie (dog) and used the dremel on his nails, it went very smoothly. We had a family emergency and needed to board our 6 month old kitten quickly for two nights. We found out later that this pet sitter did not follow our feeding instructions/schedule and our cat did not eat for one day while there. I am baffled why we wouldn't get a call before feeding him differently or told he did not eat for a day when we picked him up. When our cat started to vomit, we called to see if he vomited while being boarded (we were told no). That was when we were told she fed him more than we instructed and then he didn't eat for a day. She did apologize for not following our instructions. While I do not think the vomiting is related to boarding here, and I do think this pet sitter cares about the cats, I advise to make sure she will follow your feeding/care instructions. I, unfortunately, have lost trust so will not be using this pet sitter again.

I did appreciate the quieter atmosphere and the large, private space my cats got for the time. Debra was also good about sending photos and updates. But I had two big problems which is why I won't be coming back. The first is I was not told until I was at her front door that I could not come in the house to let my cats out of their carriers, or physically see the space they'd be in. It was very upsetting to me at the moment because I wanted to be the one to open their carriers, see the space, and give them some comfort before I left, as it stressful for me as well being away from my pets. Debra expected me to trust her based off glowing reviews and her other, affluent clientele, which is a big ask for someone I've never met. It felt like she got defensive quickly, which made for an uncomfortable first meeting. I understand her reason for not wanting people in the house, I just wish she had communicated that beforehand, because her defensiveness/attitude left a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. The second reason is she did not follow the feeding schedule I asked her to. She prefers free feeding of kibble, and asked if it was okay to do it the first night to make them comfortable, I agreed but then she went ahead and did it the whole time - I know because a picture she sent as a update had a bowl full of kibble in the background, and my cats came back heavier and one of them had diarrhea (something he gets from eating too much kibble). The last, small third is she charges sales tax, which is an odd thing to add when all I paid for were services. Other boarding facilities don't do it, but I'm also not an accountant.

She has always been very gentle with Buddy and he's very well groomed each and every time. Recently, Paola had some issues with her van (she quickly fixed) and, instead of heading to another groomer, I waited until she was back up and running because the service is top notch. She even offered a free nail trimming session to keep them low and comfortable until the repairs were done. I've tried other mobile services and they haven't compared. Since we have rescued dogs they are a little afraid of people as they were abused. No problem at all for this super star. Very gentle with the dogs and we had no issues at all. Super fast service he had both dogs done in 2 hours flat and everything was done from nail trimming to glands expressed. They smelled so good for and stayed smelling good for almost a week and a half before they started to just smell regular. We have decided to go on a schedule and the dogs are serviced every other month since we have them cut to the lowest number. It works out perfect and always on time and they have never missed an appointment. Highly recommend if you need a hood groomer this is your guy!
