Regular Italian sub
Veronica G.

Mr hero is consistently good. I recommend that you do not alter from the way they prepare the sandwiches. I tried a regular Italian made my way and it wasn't as good as the way I got it the first time which was just how they normally prepare the sandwich. So I recommend Mr. Ho but like I said, I would follow their suggestions.

So glad they put another Mr. Hero in Columbus this place has great service very clean restaurant, and bathrooms, but of course it's a brand new location LOL You can never go wrong with a Roman Burger here this is a favorite pastime for many people in Cleveland so they now have to 2 Locations in the Columbus area! This just one has better hours and better service than the in the one on Livingston Avenue area. They also have a fresh squeezed lemonade everyday free Wi-Fi a very great place to go to get sandwiches that just can't be replicated anywhere else!

For the kind of food it is, the sandwiches are various sizes and probably what you want. Dine in service seemed faster than drive thru.

I had the hankering for wings. As always, open up Yelp and look for suggestions. Urban Gourmet…read morepops up only 1.5 miles away. Located in the East Market, there are lots of food choices. Wanting wings, I ordered the Garlic Parmesan and tots. They offer grilled or fried and I thought I ordered fried but these tasted more like grilled. I was wanting that fried crunch but got more of a well cooked bite with a creamy garlic white sauce, then sprinkled with Parmesan. It was still good but when you're expecting crunch, it's slightly disappointing. Still a good wing but I wouldn't put it in the top 5. The tots, now they made up for the crunch. The Blue Cheese was exactly what I like, sweeter with a little funk. Maybe I should've specified fried. Wings are an indulgence to me. I don't want the healthy version. I want that crunchy-Lipitor sponsored-defibrillator on stand by-I can see my blood flowing-We'll start the diet Monday goodness that only a perfectly fried wing can offer. Still good tho.

No exaggeration, this was one of the best chicken Parmesans I've ever had, and that includes versions from legit Italian restaurants. The chicken cutlet was super crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a coating that was flavorful and satisfying without being too heavy. The portion size was just right, not too big, not too small. I appreciated that the mozzarella on top was fresh and sliced, not the usual shredded kind. The sauces (yes, plural!) were rich and full of flavor, tying everything together beautifully. The only thing I think it was missing? Some garlic bread of some sort to go with it. That would've made it perfect. But honestly, it was still a fantastic dish on its own. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're anywhere near East Market. I'm already looking forward to going back and seeing what else is good on their menu.

The tomatoes on the burger were diced, not sliced. I've never had them that way, but it worked. The french fries were really just about perfect. They were as fresh as could be and had a subtle seasoning similar to Grippos chips, but more subdued. Lots of menu choices including vegetarian options. Clean inside and notably, the restroom had an accommodation for those who practice Islam.

The place wasn't crowded--just two staff members were present--but it did take a little while to be acknowledged. There was someone ahead of me who I thought was in line, but he was actually waiting on a DoorDash order. It seemed like the staff were preoccupied with that, which delayed them noticing new customers walking in. According to my husband, the menu changes frequently. I browsed a bit and decided to go with a classic chicken cheesesteak--just mayo and banana peppers. I got it as a combo with a drink and onion rings. They only offered soda or water for drinks, and I do wish there was an alternative like juice or tea. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much since we're not in Philly--but let me tell you, that first bite changed everything! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was just right, and the bread was the perfect texture--not too soft, not too hard. It was seriously delicious. The onion rings weren't your typical rings with raw onions inside--instead, they seemed more like a crispy, flavored version with a mild onion taste, which I actually preferred since I'm not a big fan of onions. We also ordered a cheeseburger meal for my kids (not listed on the menu but available), and my husband got the loaded Philly steak fries, which he really enjoyed. All in all, the food exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely come back, especially for that chicken cheesesteak!

Service is prompt and the server was chatty and nice. Prices are reasonable. My three egg veg omelette with toast and potatoes was 8.99. Well, it's big, but there are so many things on it that the one on the wall has tiny print and is hard to read. If you're older like me, you might want to pick up a paper menu. Which they have plenty of. Menu covers all the basics for breakfast and a lot of omelette options. I didn't look closely at the lunch side but there are some interesting choices there that I would've gotten if it weren't 8 AM. Service minimal but nice, friendly ordering and then they bring the food out to your table. I got biscuits and gravy, of course. Because I love them, and because I make really good ones at home. The sausage gravy is from a can probably, but decent. The biscuits were also industrial commercial types, but sturdy enough for gravy. You can get them with eggs which I did. We have our own chickens, so I am also judgy about eggs, the ovae themselves and the preparation style. I asked for over medium, and what I usually get is this, over easy. A little runnier than I like, but not bad. And they have hot sauce on the table, which I always appreciate. Price was very reasonable, speed was excellent. The place is nice enough and comfy. Handy on the corner with plenty of parking. Solid choice for a diner, nothing particularly special.

First time my wife and daughter stopped before our daughter headed overseas for two years in the Peace Corps. Scotty''s is super close and convenient to the airport. Scotty learned of the imminent departure and came with cookies and treats for the long flight! And now this morning it was another airport drop off. It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe. You rarely see a 4.9 rating and even more rarely that high based on so many reviews. But I understand why - like in so many things in life, it is about the people. And the joy they bring to every conversation. And I will just add, in this age when some would divide us, this dining room is filled with all manner of folks, reveling together over food in fellowship.
