The place is nice and clean. It's just a small little deli with a nice and small menu. The service at the counter was very nice and efficient. The club sandwich was excellent but the macaroni salad was covered it was almost like eating some kind of cream. But it had flavor in it, just not my style. Jordan's is one of the few mom and pop type sandwich places in Gahanna. Interestingly, the space is split between a deli on one side, and a pub on the other. The deli menu is straight forward with about 15 cold sandwiches and 5 hot sandwiches that are made to order. You can also build your own if you prefer. They also have a soup of the day and some pasta & potato salads. And of course, bagged chips. The only offer bottled beverages. I tried the chicken gyro, and it surpassed my expectations. Their take on the tzatziki sauce was delicious. Although the sandwich prices are reasonable at around $7, they charged $3 for the prepackaged chips which seemed pretty steep. I'm wondering if I was charged for a combo (chips + drink), even though I didn't order anything to drink. I enjoyed the gyro, so would give Jordan's a try again in the future, but I think I would stay away from the overpriced chips next time -- perhaps getting take out and having my own side at home. read more

Okay - so my girlfriend works close to here, and it meant when I bring lunch - I hit somewhere close. Jordan's is like... that local place where you feel like it's been around forever, and at the same time, you know the locals come here often. I came last year for sandwiches (I think I had the Reuben?) and it was good - this time, I picked up a Roast Beef and a club (no mayo). Post lunch rush, so I walked in and ordered, and the lone worker made my sandwiches. It's a no frills place - bottles for drinks, bar attached next door - but damn, those sandwiches are good. Yeah, I could make them myself, but I don't have all the ingredients for that! I've only ever gotten it to go, to drive several minutes down the road, and they hold up, and are tasty. As long as she works in the area, I'll keep buying those sandwiches and work my way through their menu! read more

Went in after a medical appointment in the area. Very simple layout, basic deli-style fare. I had the Lion Sub and Mrs. H had the hot pastrami. Since we didn't order ahead, we had to wait about 10 min. for our sandwiches. Gotta say the wait was well worth it. After we got home, the pastrami sandwich was still warm and both sandwiches were delicious. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food we got. Had my eye on this for awhile, finally ended up nearby tonight. Intended to go to the deli, but that side was closed (after 5 on a weekend,) so we went into the bar. The menu is available there, and service was good. I got the Macedonian burger, a hefty, flavorful burger on a good bun with feta, roasted peppers, and much more. Very very good. I think Thurman's also has a Macedonian burger? Sided with fries, which Baby K ate. Good, skin-on, and they gave us plenty of ketchup. Also got the kevapi, which are like the cevapi I've had at the Serbian festival: ground meat formed into sausages, served with bread. Here they had sides of onions and pepper flakes. The meat was dry, and there was no cream sauce as I've had before (I added mayo at home but it's not the same.) I'd suggest serving them with some kind of sauce. The bread was great. Prices are good, menu is interesting. Couldn't stay and eat in a bar, with smokers outside, with the kid along. But would be a good place to watch the game and have a drink with really good bar food. read more

Stopped in to grab some of their premade salads for an event awhile back. One side is a tavern, and the other has a deli counter with premade salads and sammies, etc. You can order things from the tavern side and they'll bring it over. Went for some classics-- potato salad and two different types of pasta salad. The guests at my event enjoyed them, but for me they were waaaay too saucy. They had too much mayonnaise in general. The tavern side is also super dimly lit and isn't really the type of vibe I look for. The lady at the counter who helped me seemed a little annoyed to grab my order, even though I called ahead. I'm super grateful they were able to hook me up with some additional sides that I felt I needed for my guests, but I personally don't think I'd go out of my way to head back. read more

A friend recommended that I go and try the fish sandwich. I told him I was looking for a good filling fish sandwich. He said he had 2 fish sandwiches in one week and he wasn't disappointed. So I took him at his word. When I went during lunch hours they were really busy . I called and placed and order the fish sandwich was really good. The fries I would pass on those and probably get the chips next time. But overall the fish sandwich was amazing . It was good with the banana peppers and tarter sauce . Quick lunch spot. I ordered the macaroni salad. It tasted just like a deviled egg. They had small pieces of egg inside and a very home style flavor. The burger was good, and the toppings were fresh. Jordan's Pub is a neighborhood bar. It's next to a deli owned by the same guy. The bar doesn't look like much from the outside. It doesn't look like much on the inside either. The drinks though are good. I came to the deli to get food. It had a sign that said go to the bar to order. This is apparently owned by the same person so they work both places. It's kind of a weird setup and as a result the service can get affected. The service at the bar is good. It has an okay selection of beer. The food is good if you can wait. If you have enough patience you can great great food from Jordan's Pub. It's beer selection isn't the worst but there could be more. The atmosphere is like a typical strip mall pub. read more

This place is a quick pick mom and pop sandwich place. I have been here several times with all pleasant experiences. Their sandwiches are decent not fancy or too simplistic. All sandwiches I have had are thoughtful with some sort of tasty sauce. I ordered hot pastrami today and it came with slightly spicy (not spicy by Asian standards) red sauce. After seeing some of the other reviews on Yelp, I decided to take a cruise down and write my own. I didn't ask him how long he's been in this location but it can't be all that long because the building looks pretty new. I started with a bowl of wedding soup which included Jeruselem couscous instead of the more normal noodles. It was very good. I then got (at his recommendation) the #D5, Gobble Gobble. (no, I'm not kidding). This had very thinly sliced baked ham, turkey, swiss cheese, and lettuce, tomato and mayo on a very fresh kaiser roll. Very good. I also got a very small order of fruit salad. I should have asked for the larger size because it was very good. And finally, I got an order (3) or deviled eggs, not because I needed them but because they looked so good. Not the best outdoor seating, simply because a busy road and parking lot are what you see, hear and smell. Inside is spacious. They have bought the store space next door; go through the doorway, entering a bar and grill setting with a few TVs. Bet they get good foot traffic on weekends. Simple set up: Come in, walk up to the counter, order and they'll call your number when it's ready. I chose the hot Gyro Burger with lamb. Comes on a kaiser bun. The dill sauce is their own concoction of ranch dressing, sour cream and their spices. Very good! I'll admit, I was a bit hesitant that it would be too tart, and drown the meat; I was wrong. Great shaved lamb - super tender, soft, succulent! They get all their bread from a local bakery fresh every morning. The kaiser bun was immensely soft. I love cheese, so I added a slice of American cheese. Score! For the sandwich and bottled drink, came to just over $8. Definitely filled me up. Great balance of protein and carbs. I'm not sure how long the deli has been here, but I can't believe I hadn't checked it out sooner, since I work right down the street. Like other people have said, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but you need to give it a shot. I had the Lion Sub, which is turkey, ham, salami, Italian dressing, and vegetables, and it was great. I had it warm, and the bread was crispy and tasty, and none of the ingredients overwhelmed the others. I'd definitely get it again. My buddy had the club, and I could smell how good it was from across the table. He really enjoyed it. The place has a different sandwich special everyday that includes soup or a fruit cup. I absolutely LOVE this place!! It's a fun, divey, bar and restaurant with an old-school vibe to it. They have darts and I'm annoyed that I can't remember if they have pool or not (I should have read the other reviews). The lighting is dark, which I love in a setting like this. They also have a patio! I don't know Gahanna at all so I can't really comment on the location, but it seems to be in a relatively busy area. Gahanna is nice in itself so it's always a treat to venture over that way! The food is awesome! I'm gluten free so I have only eaten their burger without a bun and pickles that are the size of a newborn baby. My friends have gotten a variety of their burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches and have enjoyed them all! I'm so sad I can't eat their fries (due to cross-contamination fryers) because they look, smell, and according to my friend, taste absolutely delicious! It's a deli so meals are served in baskets and the silverware is bagged plasticware, like the ones you'd see in the elementary cafeteria. It even comes with tiny salt and pepper packets! So cute! If this place was less of a bar, however, I might find it a bit inappropriate. But it's a deli with a shitload of booze so who cares, right?! Their drinks are great; tall, stiff, and appropriately priced. I wish they'd have more of a cider or gluten free beer options, however I'm happy with Tito's! They seem to have a nice beer and wine selection as well. The staff! Let me tell you, they are amazing! I've never had a negative interaction with anyone here! The owner is such a wonderful person! I ordered from this spot yesterday after a rough workout session. It is easy to find. Parking was ample right outside the strip mall/plaza. The venue was clean and the customer service was great. This place is the best of both worlds. A bar on one side and a deli on the other. I ordered the Reuben with fries. And I was far from disappointed. First thing I noticed was that The fries were fresh cut and cooked perfectly! Not some frozen sticks thrown in a fryer. These were just the right size and still had the skins on them. The sandwich was put together nicely. Not falling apart and hard to eat like most places. It was constructed well. And the ingredients were nicely portioned in the sandwich. No overload of 1 thing and not enough of another. The meat was succulent and delicious. Every Bite was better than the last. Can't wait to try other sandwiches on the menu. read more

I was trying to order from Jordan's deli but the sign on the door said order from the bartender next door. The pub is a small scale sports bar: two pools tables, 3 dart boards, juke box. The staff were friendly and took our order quickly. I'm not sure if it picks up later but when we were here (8:30 on a Wednesday night) it was pretty dead. Food was good though. Jordan's Deli and Jordan's Bar are not much to look at on Morrison in Gahanna, but looks aren't everything. They've got some really good sandwiches going on in there. Right now, Jordan's Reuben is my number one Reuben that I've had in Columbus (YES, over Katzinger's and Club 185...my other 2 favs). The place is very casual. I like to sit on the bar side whether it's lunch or dinner, or drinkin (of course). There's more to look at that way. There's also a pool table. The service is really friendly and casual. They have an extensive menu of sammies and some good sides, fresh fries, etc. and the prices are cheap in comparison to gourmet sandwich joints. I think the location or look of the place may prevent people from stopping, but you definitely should because they are doing something right over there! read more

Drive by this place whenever I do work for a local customer in the area. Always wanted to try it so I finally decided today was the day. Kind of glad I did. It's a pretty cool little deli. It was kind of expensive but oh well. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Little too much mayo for my liking on the D5 (gobble gobble) cold sandwich. I just simply wiped it off, no biggie. Think it would be a good idea to lower the price of the chips n drink add on. It was $3 for the add on. Sandwich was only $6 which is great. So today is St. Patrick's Day and honestly, I was impressed! I know which distributors they use and so the quality of meat is good and can be trusted. The place is a typical man's bar for watching games, drinking, shooting pool, playing video poker, and being casual. They have a nice bar on the right of the entrance which has more tables. They also have outdoor seating too. The sandwich menu is extensive and well-written on a nice sandwich board. It was easy to order, fast, and actually decent. I ordered the Greek salad and asked them to put gyro meat on it. Not bad for a bar. The salad was crisp, clean, and had just the right amount of toppings. The location is convenient if you're coming off of 270 or if you live in Gahanna. read more

I wanted to love this...I need a good deli! It's clean, but sparse. There are some tables, but not many. As my son and I walked in, there was a man behind the counter, with papers spread out. He looked up at me, and then directly back at his papers. Didn't hold up a "one moment" finger, didn't say a word...totally disregarded me. We stood there a few moments and made our choices...then I had to clear my throat and announce that we'd like to order. My mother and my grandfather had just come here the other day (per my suggestion, knowing the reviews for this place were favorable). They enjoyed their meal, but Mom warned me that they overdo the mustard. I ordered a "make your own" corned beef sandwich. I ended up with white bread, because I dislike rye. Their bread is the square loafed, bulk style bread (even the rye). Nothing to write home about. The corned beef was thicker sliced and tasteless. Even though I asked for very little mustard, my sandwich was drowning in it and I had to scrape it off. Also, it was regular yellow mustard, which surprised me. My son (15), however, loved his sandwich and said he'd go back there no problem. He got roast beef. Neither of us loved the deviled eggs, they were rubbery. I feel like I went to a different establishment than the others that have reviewed Jordan's! My mom, grandfather and son liked it. I wasn't impressed. read more

I stopped in on a whim and wasn't sure what to expect. This deli is attached to the bar next door so the staff migrate between the two. They have a decent sized menu of cold and hot sandwiches as well as a rotation of soups. The day I went they had chicken chili and the employee recommended the H4 sandwich, which is roast beef, veggie spread, and cheese. I also got some brownies. The chili had several kinds of beans and shredded chicken. It was much more spicy than you would expect for a chicken chili. Being a fan of milder food it would have been nice to know that before I ordered it. I ate about half and couldn't go any further. Honestly there was nothing special about it. The heat drowned out any flavor from the main ingredients. I moved on to the sandwich (which was hot). It was well made with a generous amount of roast beef and melted cheese. The pita bread it was served on was a little tough but held the sandwich together well. The veggie spread was tasty but I would have liked more flavor out of it. I would order it again but maybe add some fresh tomato, onion, and lettuce to it. The brownies looked a little dry but were actually quite moist with chunks of chocolate chips throughout. They weren't extraordinary by any means; I've had equivalent brownies from a boxed mix. My first trip wasn't a great one but wasn't awful either. The place is clean, the employees were nice and helpful. I'd be curious to try some of their other items. read more
