They use brand new disposable hoses for every customer and they use high quality natural charcoals. They consistently change charcoals here without even having to ask and the hookahs here are clean. As ventilation systems can be a challenge in some (many) hookah bars, fortunately, not the case at Mr. Hookah. TV and music always on, owner is cool enough to play your jam or flip to your favorite Sports channel. Service: Very attentive and fast. This was not my favorite hookah bar. I haven't been to a hookah bar in like 4 or 5 years. The employees here were very nice. The place is hella smokey. The have vents, but I don't think they were working. We ended up here last night after dinner because none of us wanted to go to bar but we still wanted to hang out and talk. We tried two other hookah spots before stopping here. This one was the only one that had space for us. It was a nice chill evening. I'm not really a fan of their two people per hookah. 2 out of the 6 didn't smoke and I didn't see a bill so I'm not really sure how much the bill was. They do have a cork fee. I know the two who drank were not really pleased about that. They don't have cards which was a bummer. We would have loved to play some rummy while we sat there. The seating does not look anything at all like the photos on here. They're kind of old and dingy, but not a deal breaker. They offer French vanilla and hazelnut coffee. Some of the BEST customer service you can get at a hookah bar. The staff is extremely friendly and the manager always shows so much hospitality to the guests. When my party and I come here we feel like we're always well taken care of, no complaints whatsoever. When I come here I get extremely good vibes all the time. I been to this hookah bar maybe 4 times or so but last night i went again with a friend and the customer service has stepped up here drastically. I enjoy this hookah joint. The prices are better than the area surrounding places. Most of the chairs are comfortable and the tables are adult size, not those mini table which I wind up banging my knees on. The service is attentive and not bothersome. The owner is usually on site so there are no issues or problems they don't immediately address. My friends and I decided that we were going to go hookah as a last hoorah sort of thing before we all went back to school... when we went on yelp, this place was cheap, nearby and had a good amount of stars so we decided to go here. When we got here, it was pretty crowded (it was around 9pm) on a Friday night to the point where we took the last free table. I'm not a person who hookahs regularly so its a bit harder to talk about that but let me just lay down some things about the service and ambiance... The service wasn't that attentive because he was helping regulars and favorites. There were so many high schoolers which was so annoying. Its not great at all when you can hear people at the next table talking about how they still need to do their college applications. High schoolers kept walking in and hanging out with their friends at other tables for 5 minutes and then would just leave. Maybe that's why they were so crowded - they let underage people in, I don't even know. The hookah itself was decent - clean, tasted good and the staff helped when he walked by and noticed that I did something completely wrong since no one else was there. Honestly, Id give it a 3 on another day because it wasn't BAD but the ambiance and crowd knocked it down. read more

This is an alright place for hookah. It's populated by high school kids and the atmosphere is mediocre at best. There is no music playing and the seats seemed dirty. The guy working was very nice but they seemed to be understaffed as he was working the full room and hence he was a little slow to get around to us. But if you're looking for a place to hookah and not concerned for atmosphere and can put up with annoying looking high school kids then this place is fine as the hookah was thick and nice. Its a great place to smoke real traditional middle eastern hookah, and has a wonderful atmosphere. great place to take a date or just hang out with friends. the flavors are endless and they are very clean. it is very afforodable and its a perfect location right off the kennedy high way. go there i have been to at least 12 different hookah bars around chicago and this is defiantly my favoriate all different cultuers of people inside. my list goes like this #1 mr hookah, #2 koosh on dempster. #3 ambrosia on fullertin and shefield. and i can defiantly say the worst experiance i have ever had was hubble hookah on harlem, 2 thumbs down. oh also ugly hookah on bryn mawr and kimble. i really enjoyed that place. read more

I love the set up, the TVs, and the environment. The smoke quality and hookahs are still amazing. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They always keep me and my friends satisfied. It's a place that's very well run with quality staff and quality smoke. Definitely one of the best if not the best place in the city to smoke.
