I really do wish I could give y'all ZERO stars!!! The vibe was horrible! The light was on the entire time despite it being 3am! The music was low as hell, and even when i asked for them to turn it up...nothing changed! The hookah was HORRIBLE! The shisha was BURNT after about 12 minutes! (Seriously)! They overcharged and mentioned nothing about the service fee until they had already ran my card! The service was TERRIBLE! We had to call them 5 times before they would even come check on us about the burnt hookah! I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason! It was not fun or enjoyable! This place used to be a fun clean enjoyable environment. You could get together with friends to detox for the day, or you could grind out some Serious school work right before it was due. Coming here was a bit therapeutic especially when you had your buddies to chitchat and debrief. Even then, there were some annoyances such as the lame over cologned bums who always sat in the middle section gambling all day long with Domino's , cards, and dices. For some odd reason, these weirdos would size up every new Patron walking in to see if they could kick there but just in case an altercation occurred, but as malnourished as they looked from hours of alchohol, cigarettes and gambling, im pretty sure they'd get curb stomped. Even with those negativities, the place was still pretty Pleasant but it aged like fine milk. The place is so dirty and run down now. The bowls that they use are probably the worst I have ever seen. Out of curiosity, I once took off the foil from one of the bowls and realized that they are using almost completely flat surfaced clay bowls. Not even a tablespoon of flavor could be contained within that. Overall, the place has degraded aggressively and covid-19 didn't help. I don't think I'll ever go back there in my life. Furniture is always torn and has burn marks, and the creepy bum like gamblers will ensure that the ambience never leave that grimy state. If I close my eyes, I can still hear them slamming Dominoes on the fake granite table tops while lighting up some of the cheapest and nastiest cigarettes I've ever smelled in my life. There air filtration system is really bad too so make sure you are ready for a bath when you get home because every time you leave the place, you're going to leave with a film of some greasiness or oil all over your face and hands. read more

I'd give a worse review if I could but 1 star will have to do...just know I mean to give ZERO stars. We ordered two hookahs (one with a grapefruit head and one normal) and they were both AWFUL, over priced and the service was not good at all. The guy who saw us in was rude and not helpful. Please save your money and go somewhere where they actually know how to pack a proper hookah head. Both hookahs we got had wayy too many coals on them and were burnt from the get go. This place reminds me EXACTLY the reason why I smoke hookah at home now. They don't know what they are doing. We had to fix the hookah ourselves all night. I'm so disappointed from my experience on Saturday night that I to double back to leave my review at 9:46 am Tuesday morning. First of all, we only got to lounge for 35-45 minutes. The experience was horrible, I dont know if a mouse could hear the music, the decibels were so damn low. Also, the shisha was so burnt after 10 minutes. The service was terrible. We had 3 hookahs and all were just terrible. This experience had me debating the entire existence of my life and if I was living in a simulation cus it was so bad. read more

I wish I could leave a 0 star review. order a hookah with natural charcoal. everything started out great. coal was toward the end of its life and new coal comes out. this is where it goes south. the 2nd set of charcoal dies completely. just ash left. no new coal. I asked the waitress for new coal and she says ok. 15 minutes later the guy making the hookahs comes out with instalight charcoal and asks if I want that or wait for natural charcoal. I told him that is ok for now until the natural coal is ready. within 3 minutes he comes back out giving everyone new natural coal but me. the instalight coal dies and no new coal is brought. I sat there for 4 hours with just 3 sets of charcoal. then when I play and walk outside, one of the workers (or could be the owner) is parked next to my car and is spray painting his car in a full parking lot. definitely something you should be doing since your customer service is so horrible. I used to come here when it was called Carthage and stopped due to the horrible customer service. guess nothing has changed with the name besides the interior. never coming back again. read more

This is easily the worst hookah bar I've ever visited and I'll tell you why. #1) They automatically include a tip on every bill regardless of the number of people in the party. This results in the employees serving the hookah giving you horrendous service, they literally serve you hookah like you should feel privileged to spend your money there. #2) The washrooms are disgusting, additionally there is only one washroom for each sex, there's usually a line for the washroom. #3) The seats are way too close to each other, you can literally hear the entire conversation of those around you. #4) The music is way too loud, if you're there to have a conversation forget about it. Bring your Advil with you, you will need it! #5) The pricing is ridiculously high, for me and my date we spent $90 after tips. #6) Parking, if you park in their very small lot someone will most likely block you in. read more

Atmosphere is just right, nice layout of couches perfect for group conversation. Hookah was pretty good across the board, tried multiple flavors, no complaints Service was VERY SLOW. We placed an order and waited almost 20 minutes to get our Hookah. People entering after us were getting served first. The girl doing the seating seemed clueless and couldn't communicate properly. Thankfully another staff member helped us later and was much better. Ventilation is quite poor. I'm an avid hookah enthusiast I'd like to say. Most of us don't enjoy lounge smoking at all because of the lack of quality but Cairo is different. I've started coming here daily. It opens at 11am which is a HUGE PLUS so often times my first bowl of the day is smoked here. I'm honestly quite shocked at how great this place is. Natural coals are a given for all hookahs, their hookahs are clearly washed and cleaned daily, and best part of all is that each hookah is color coded for certain flavors. More than just mint and non mint, there are certain hookahs for DA, orange, grape, and such. Price - very very very reasonable. AF hookah with a water bottle comes out to less than $20. No cheaper place worth going to in Chicago. Owners that really care about their customers and providing the best service. Would recommend Cairo Nights to all of my friends. read more

The atmosphere was disappointing just filled with guys and no women in the entire place. The hookahs were ok that's why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 star. So we ask for the bill and it finally comes after 15 minutes, to my surprise the waitress charged us for an additional hookah and water. We never received any type of apology from her or the manager and they had the nerve to ask for an additional tip on top of the 15% that they already charge.
