Used to come to this hookah place before when it was called Rotana Cafe. After they changed owners, they redecorated this place and it definitely looks new and nice. Hookahs here range from $11-14 and its extra charge for the fruit head. This place is BYOB but they charge $5 per person even though not everyone in the group is drinking. Not sure about food but maybe they will charge too. Make sure in your group that outta two people, you must get a hookah and they make sure you know the rules before you order. They have a mini parking lot in the front and there's always street parking. Everyone is friendly and nice except for that one waitress. She speaks with an attitude and is very rude to my friends and I. Right when you step into this hookah lounge you are greeted by her bad vibe which isn't what my friends and I want after a long day at work. Luxe is a great hookah place, until recently. Their checkout system is deceiving. Upon requesting the receipt, they show you the total and tip options. I sure tip when service is good, so I add 15%-20% depending on service. When I received the receipt, it shows an additional service charge of 18% which they do not disclose when you view you the total on the handheld. My colleagues told me that they are aware of it as it's on the bottom of the menu. Server should disclose that 18% service charge is already on the bill. Besides that, the place is very spacious and clean. Hookahs are 4-5 stars alone. read more

If i could give ZERO stars i would The staff is HORRIBLE! Prior to coming we called to make sure that we could be seated. we were told that it was no issue and they were still accepting customers. Once we got there, we were asked by the woman at the front desk how many in our party. It was 5 of us and after that we were told that it was a $50 spending limit per person. Although when we arrived there was only 3 maybe 4 customers in the inside. I do not recommend going here! read more

They are racist. They didn't want people of Indian origin in there. We walked in and asked for a table in the patio. They said the patio is unavailable. We then said asked for a table inside. They said "you need reservations, sorry". Now, you may think that this is reasonable. But the twist is there there was exactly 4 people in the place - the rest of the tables were empty. read more

Premium hookah spot in Chicago! George is on point with the hookahs, meticulous with each one he makes. You won't be disappointed! Specialty hookahs with the pineapple or orange heads is a must. Try it with blue mist mint! The young lady that works here, Luna, is probably the most attentive server, and found out she actually manages it, which just goes to show a great business starts from the top and they do it right here. It is BYOB and they take care of it from there with class with the ice and glasses. Really put effort in this whereas other places offer BYOB but don't give you any cups or ice. Its a very nice clean place to hang out. Just didn't like that they charge service fee without telling you. So in a way, you tip them twice.

Black people don't not give this place your money. If I could give this establishment Zero stars I would. Service was horrible. Hookah was subpar and the music was one step up from repeat nursery rhymes. There was a clear difference between the waiters treatment of our table and the table across the room with our white counterparts ( Mind you there was only two groups in the whole place ). As the night progressed the service worsened. Staff began to mop the floors and sit at a table and eat. It was their passive aggressive attempt to hurry us out the door. I've been to Luxe twice, once on a weekday and once on a Saturday night. I enjoyed the fun, lively atmosphere! There was live entertainment on Saturday (belly dancer & DJ) which was a fun addition to the experience. I also love that it's byob, that's always a plus!!! We did have to wait an hour because we didn't make a reservation but it was well worth the wait, the host (which I found out later is the manager) was so friendly and has a great personality and she makes you want to keep coming back! This place was the old Rotana Cafe but they recently was taken over by new owners and new management and thank god it's a 100% better! They remodel it, it looks great! Great service hookah was good. Had some seating issues but the manager was nice enough to move us once more seats were available also the server had forgotten to bring us our coffee. Avoid this place if you can. I received a horrible first impression. This place has RUINED my birthday. I call to make reservations 3 weeks a go for 4/13/19. I was told by the lady who answered the phone that it was too early to reserve. However, she instructed me to call back within a week before 4/13 to reserve. I called today 4/4/19 and I was told that the place is booked and its nothing she can do about it. Why didn't she take my reservations 3 weeks ago? Obviously, they were accepting reservations if they are booked NOW. AFTER the bad reviews I was still going to give this place a chance. Now I see why they have so many bad reviews. The hookah is trash. If you're looking for actual hookah this is not the place to go too. After telling our server the hookah was bad they did nothing to fix it. We got two of the same flavors and one tasted different. It was clear they had not cleaned the hookah from the last flavor properly. We couldn't even smoke out of it. It was so gross. The service was poor, we hit the call light 4 times to get a response and it was not even busy. Will not be back to this place. Also parking sucks. read more
