I was in yesterday my server Carolyn was not a good server at all. She brought us our drinks threw the straws on the table. Then gave us our food and the check at the same time. Never checked on us until we were almost done with our food. Charged us for a 3rd chocolate milk. I had a feeling when she left the bill on table she woukd not be back at our table and I was right. The server waited on me right away. I ordered an iced tea - which unfortunately was spoiled. I would've been OK with that because I would've just switched to water. But she didn't come back to take my order. I waited 10 minutes. I watched her clear off a table, go to a completely different section and clear off a couple of tables, and do what looked like some other busy work. The place reminds me of a truck stop which usually has some of the best and reasonably prices meals while passing through on a road trip. It's also for the after church crowd which makes it very busy and being off the highway even more. Service was wonderful. Our server was adorable and so friendly. She epitomized what great service should be. Pretty great menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We all had breakfast. French toast, pancakes and eggs. My girlfriends and I stopped at the Village Inn because it's so close to the Pine haven Farm and we wanted to get our nourishment before we hit the Great Pumpkin Trail there. We all enjoyed breakfast for dinner which is served all day! LOVED the VIB on the menu, which is their Village Incredible Brunch, a customizable meal where you can choose four items including options like pancakes, omelets, eggs, and meats to create your own special breakfast. I chose pancakes, chicken fried steak, fruit and scrambled eggs. Everyone ordered something different, and we all thought our breakfast was yummy and scrumptious! We really loved and enjoyed our food, only wish there was a Village Inn closer to where we live, but I guess this way we can look forward to our visit here in Wyoming whenever we visit Pine haven Farm. We decided to take a drive to this restaurant, hoping that it wouldn't be too busy. We were in luck and timed perfectly, just before the crowd. The restaurant was clean, with a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately we appeared to have the worst server in the restaurant. She was scattered while taking our order, had to repeat it several times before she got it correct. First time trying this restaurant and stopped in after breaking down the Art show at the Wyoming Hallberg Center for the Arts. Service was excellent! It was busy but not packed but we were well taken care of and never wanted for anything. The interior looks like it has been updated and has a casual and friendly ambiance. Chairs at the table were comfortable. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. We split a Key Lime pie slice between 3 of us and it was good. Brought 2 slices home for my husband, Triple Berry and Carmel Silk. He liked both of them. This is a classic example of not judging a book by the cover. I was convinced to stop for breakfast and give it a try and boy was I WAY off in my assessment that based on the faded outdoor sign, the inside must be dusty and neglected. In reality, the inside is super clean and the authentic retro decor is really cool. The breakfast options are plentiful and the food is good. The prices seemed right on. The service was efficient. They have a large pie selection that we didn't get to try so we'll be back! Lesson learned! read more

They have other comfort food as well. Coffee is a step up or two from other diner coffee. It'll keep you wired for days. Unfortunately, I had decaf, so I was only weird for days. Hey-o. The breakfast skillet was good, but salty, the potatoes crunchy and a nice array of vegetables. Lots of food when you add in the included three pancakes. Decent overall. Service was very good, but oddly demure or something. I didn't quite get it, but it wasn't horrible, whatever it was. No room for pie: too bad, so sad. This restaurant is a classic American style location. Whether you are coming for lunch or after church brunch, the Village Inn is a safe bet. You'll have a wide variety of breakfast foods, lunch, supper, importantly, pie! Booths are separated by plexiglass and servers wear masks. The day I was there last, several of them were only wearing the masks over their mouths. Few customers wore masks. Despite a busy day, we were served quickly. We ordered a whole pie to go. They even cut it for us and gave us plastic ware. It's a great place for "up north" folks to meet with peeps from the twin cities. I'll keep coming back. read more

Looks like a classic American diner, as it should. A large collection of fresh pies greets you from a display case at the hostess stand. The food has always been above average for this type of restaurant that serves breakfast all day. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so my favorite is that it is also lunch and dinner all day! Great quality for a big quantity. My favorite is the Cobb salad, which is always fresh and more than enough to fill up one person. Normally, I'd say this place is great. We usually get awesome service. But like usual, it only takes one to turn the good time bad. Our server that we never met named Jessica decided that customers weren't as important as her break time. We sat waiting for a sever after being seated. Tried even flagging down the hostess and another waitress. Not one person would come tell us why Jessica was not coming out to take at least our drink order. After 15 mins, we just walked out. I hope the management gets this review and teaches their servers that customers come first and not their time. I can understand a break, but then you have another server help if you have waiting customers. My mom was a server for 30+ years and never had one complaint. Some of these lazy, over privileged kids have no idea how to make money, especially as a service provider. read more
