We have been here several times and have had Really good food, Ribeye steak has always been cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. Classic steakhouse sides are good and they have a very nice small salad bar that all the vegetables are kept near and fresh. Staff are friendly and you order at the counter. This restaurant has a very calm, welcoming atmosphere with very friendly, attentive staff! I love the location, near a beautiful lake, and the interior is bright and cheery! A perfect place to take the family, especially kids (They have now added a cool mascot in front of the building). There are lots of food options and you get a lot for your money! I tried the crispy buffalo chicken salad that had blue cheese. It was so crispy and delicious, and the chicken was AMAZING (& well-seasoned)... one of the best salads I have ever had! I talked with the staff and discovered that they get most of their food fresh every morning, which explains why everything I have tried so far has tasted so delicious (this was my second time here). Excellent place to get a quick reasonably priced meal in Forest Lake. I arrived at 11:30 for an early lunch. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. I had a 12 ounce ribeye with a baked potato and salad bar. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested and the salad bar was perfect and plentiful. It was an overall great experience and I will definitely return to support this local establishment. read more

This restaurant is VERY close to a 4 star restaurant, it just fell short, but I assume in time it will easily be a 4 or 5 star restaurant. We went twice in our short Minnesota trip and they were both enjoyable. The first time the temperatures were not as ordered but the steaks were still very good. The second trip they were cooked to perfection and were mouth watering! The sides and soup/salad bar were great too, a nice selection and all very flavorful. I do think an upcharge for French fries as a steak side is ridiculous, but beyond that I would say we enjoyed this place and will try it next time we are in town again. read more

Great food and even better service! 8 oz sirloin. $17.95. You get the steak, toast and two sides. Sides include choice of potato, soup and salad. I don't eat salad and the soup today was one I didn't care for, so I got 2 potatoes, baked and Jo-Jo's. The steak was delish. Both potatoes were excellent. Was greeted by a very friendly woman that welcomed us there. You order at a counter, they give you a tray with a number, a bowl of your meal comes with the salad bar and a glass if you ordered pop. Their menu has a mix of steaks, burgers, pasta and sandwiches. I decided on the 12oz ribeye med rare, baked potato and the salad. You could also choose mashed potatoes and soup if you want. My buddy got the Texas smash burger with fries and a small salad. First off, the bowl I got for my salad was a monster. I made a bomb salad. There's not a lot of choices at the salad bar, but I liked it. Really chunky good blue cheese. My buddies small salad bowl was pretty big too. He was happy and made a big ol' salad. Our meals came out fairly fast. My ribeye was incredibly tender and delicious. Perfectly medium rare. The baked potato was also properly cooked, loaded with a giant dollop of butter. Also had a nice thick buttered slice of Texas toast to sop up steak juice. My buddies burger looked amazing! Two patties with onion straw, cheese, lettuce bbq on two butter grilled Texas toast slices. I will be returning!! read more

Just had lunch at this new restaurant. Food was delicious and the service was great! I had the pan fried walleye, green beans and homemade mashed potatoes. It was fantastic. My friends had the smash burgers and seasoned fries, the Greek salad and the steak salad. All enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend! read more

I had an amazing lunch at this steak house! It is right by the forest lake beach many surrounding activities. I had a classic smash burger and it made its way into my top 5 best burgers i've ever eaten! The staff were extremely kind and attentive to me and my boyfriend. I would recommend this place to anyone there is options for everyone including kiddos! read more

I'm very finicky about my steak choices and always order the same type of meal to compare to others I've had. My first experience here was phenomenal !! I am very impressed with the menu selection, food, cleanliness and service! As with other 'best steakhouses', you place your order at the counter, receive your beverage container and salad plate (if that's your side choice), all dinnerware and your order number once you pay. You choose your booth or table and your order will be brought to your table. Their self-serve salad bar was extremely fresh and a nice selection of additions to perfect your dish! Our steaks were done perfectly! My ribeye seemed a bit salty but not enough to send it back. (Now that I know the chef's cooking method, I'll request light seasoning next time.) My husband's sirloin was just to his liking! We were both very pleased for a first impression and plan to visit again very soon Obviously, we highly recommend this restaurant! Parking is a bit scattered. A few spaces may be found on Lake St but more can be found on the backside of the building. There's a separate handicap entrance (double glass doors) to the north of their main entrance to make sure everyone can enjoy this tasty experience (and No, I'm not affiliated with this business at all.
