Over 20 years later and Mr. Lee's is still at its small location...wedged in between Little Caesars and the Firestone garage, still serving heaping portions of delicious Chinese foods. Over rated. Last time giving this place a chance. Spent $80 & there was hardly any shrimp in any of the 3 shrimp dishes we ordered, especially the shrimp fried rice. It was basically just fried rice, literally just a couple of pieces for a large order sitting on top. They had the nerve to throw in a little piece of a tail. Charge almost $4 for some old flat coke. Crab Rangoon are small and hardly filled, thrown in a bag and stick all together. Shrimp Egg Foo young Pattie's just thrown in the carry out package and stuck together also. General Tsao Chicken, only half the chicken pieces were covered in sauce. Looks like they threw the sauce in the container first and than throw the chicken on top of it. Just no pride in the food they are serving for top dollar for a carry out joint. read more

How can no one have reviewed this place yet?? Mr. Lee's has the most authentic New York Style Chinese food in Miami Lakes! They are located in a strip mall and they even look like the takeout restaurants in NYC. No tables, just chairs to sit in while you wait for your order. This is not an eat-in restaurant. The food is always delicious but I'm giving it a 2 star because of an issue. We placed an order for delivery and when we opened it, we were missing the fried wontons. We immediately called. The lady asked if we paid in cash, when we said no she then repeated the order and said that we never ordered the wontons. But when we placed the order, she had asked what we wanted in the wontons. Plus if you do the math from the prices on their website, we were charged for them. Of course since they do not give a receipt with the order like most delivery places do, there is no way of proving that it was ever added. I am upset that she flat out told us that we never ordered it yet total on the website adds up with the total we were given (including the wontons) even though according to her, we did not order them. read more

Mr Lees has long been our go to place Chinese. We have good and bad experiences but over all we have liked it. We recently "cheated" on Mr lees and went to a place across the street... We have crawled back to Mr lees! We ordered honey garlic chicken chicken wings and chicken on Garlic sauce. The meals come with eggrolls and soup. I don't know if there was a new cook or if we ordered on day where everything was super fresh; but the food was amazing! The chicken in garlic sauce was so flavorful with the perfect touch of spice. The rice was so tasty and full of pork! It was not greasy at all! The eggrolls were golden fried and had a nice crisp texture. The wings were large, fresh and were crunchy. My family and I were about to drive 30 minutes to a restaurant in Doral when we happened upon Mr. Lee's Restaurant! The service was quick and the food was fresh too. The portion sizes are large so we ordered two small vegetarian dishes and had plenty leftover for a snack the next day. Mr. Lee's never fails to disappoint. I gave up on eating Chinese food here in Miami, because it is just not the same as when I lived in New York. I was so happy when I found this place. Their Shrimp Lo Mein, and their house special fried rice is so good!!! Their chicken wings are also delicious. I recently ordered their Singapore noodles, and I was not really a fan. I have also tried their shrimp noodle soup and I really enjoyed it. Their prices are very good, and they deliver very quickly!!! If you are ordering for delivery with cash the minimum is 10$ and for credit it is 15$. I ordered my food and got it within 20mins! Their staff isn't the best, they always rush you on the phone and leave you on the line when they are talking to other people. Delivery service was good. I ordered special fried rice and wings. Wings were really good and rice had good taste, but they barely put meat in it. The pieces of pork and ham are super Tiny. This is the best chinese food I have been able to find near the Miami Gardens area. The food is always hot and fresh. Never too greasy or too salty or too bland, always just right. The only negative thing I have to say is that prices seem to keep rising too often. Have ordered from here many many times and have always enjoyed their great food. Unfortunately, after today, I will no longer order from them. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, as we ALWAYS do, and when it arrived they decided to put the sauce on the chicken. Never have they done this before. I call to ask them if they can please pick up the untouched chicken and the lady said that I would need to bring it back myself to exchange it because their driver would get "very upset" if he had to return to my house for a mistake THEY made. I tipped that driver enough to come back to my house another time. Horrible customer service on their end and since when do the drivers call the shots?
