I first found out about this company Moon Marine through Craigslist. I answered an ad for a Tracker…read moreboat. I called Moon marine and spoke with the owner Mike Moon about the boat at Great length. Mike Moon answered many of my technical questions, and I was satisfied with the answers then. I then asked him if it would be possible to add a 9.9 kicker motor and separate controls onto this boat. Mike said it shouldn't be a problem, and that he actually had two 9.9 Mercury Motors that he wanted to get rid of, so dispensing with one of them would be really good for him. I asked Mike how much it would be, he said I'll call you back with the price. About an hour later Mike called me back, and told me the price, and I was very satisfied. I asked Mike if I could fill out a credit application so that I could buy the boat. Mike emailed me a credit application which I promptly printed out, filled out, scanned , and then returned to him. I emailed it off around 8 p.m. that night. I called Mike Moon the next day around 2 pm, and asked him about the status of my credit application. Mike said at that time that he did not know the status, and he would call me and let me know when he knew. I did not hear from Mike for the rest of the day. At around 8:30 the next morning I received a phone call from Mike, and he left a voicemail on my phone informing me that yes I had been approved for the entire amount of the boat, but somebody had put a deposit down on the boat, and it was as good as sold. As you can imagine, I immediately called him back and had some Choice words with him regarding him selling the boat out from underneath me, a move I would consider Shady at best, and possibly Criminal. As I spoke with Mike on the phone, it became increasingly obvious to me that he did not care at all that he had sold the boat out from underneath me, I asked him how he could do something like that? To which Mike responded with a snearing laugh: "sorry, sometimes you don't get everything in life that you want". As if I had done something wrong. Then he began to inform me about how much money the guy that was purchasing the boat had. At this point I asked Mike if my credit application had come in before he had taken the money for the down payment. Now Mike Moon then began to shudder, and shake in his voice. And then hung up on me. I'm not exactly sure why a person that owns a business would act in this deviant Behavior, but I would like this review to be a warning to anyone out there that is thinking about doing business with this company or this man. This person Mike moon is a shyster, and a skunk of the highest order. I wouldn't trust this man to watch a peanut for me. I will have this post as a warning to anyone, do not do business with this man or this company. You will regret it I promise you! I have notified the local chapter of my muskies Inc Club i am a member for tge last 12 years, about these nefarious dealings with Mike Moon. I have notified the Better Business Bureau and have filed a complaint with them. I have called The Fond du Lac police department and filed a report, as i can only be unsure of what he Mr. Moon might do with the personal information he obviously didn't need for the loan for a boat he had already sold without notifying me before i got the loan. I have called the Wisconsin district attorney, and am awaiting a call back. I also have contacted Craigslist to have all of Mr. Moons ads on their forum blocked. If this cannot be ubtained, then i will immediately flag ANY of Moon marines ads as scams immediately . I hope that this review helps anyone doing business with this company. Do not do business with this company you will regret it!

My wife and I couldn't be happier with our experience with Keith's Marina. We worked with Mike…read moreKeith. It's a family run business and the entire family works there. Mike was patient when answering all questions. He put together a very nice package deal on a Sylvan 822LZ. He made recommendations on what options we might consider (with no pressure) and was open and honest about which he thought were unnecessary. He was responsive to any and all ongoing emails when I needed some help reconfiguring the shore station from a V-hull to a tritoon. We brought our trailer down a week early and the boat was loaded and ready to go back up, exactly as he promised as it would be, one week later. Let me address any poor reviews here, I read them all. Every one of them seems to reflect some issue which I think might have been resolved through better communication. None of them bear any similarity to our experience, so I put them down to unhappy people who would rather complain than to work through unfulfilled expectations. This doesn't seem like a family who wants customers walking away unhappy.

I approached a sales guy (no idea who) and told him I was interested and was hoping he'd go $500 less. I mean it was a used boat. There's always wiggle room to make a sale. Guy abruptly tells me the boat is the price it is and that's it. I went back to look at it more and the guy didn't follow and didn't say anything more. Ok, buddy forget your boat. I stopped back a week or two later, just to look at it again. This time the same guy comes up to me and says you want the boat it's yours minus the $500 I initially asked about. Yeah, NO. You had your chance and your customer service sucked. I've driven by for years since and think, you will never get my money.

In one word, RUN. There are many other places to get your boat repaired in Oshkosh, please do so…read more brought My boat in for a miss fire in spring they found that my fuel filter was never changed. Also suggested I do a tune up. $1800 later. Boat ran fine all summer. Went in to winterize this fall and they suggested I do a tune up ? had the Platinum winterization package, what a joke. suggested I pull the motor and do preventative maintenance (boat has 340hrs). when I said no they wanted an Additional $300 to put the drive back on, why isn't that part of the Platinum pkg? when I picked up the boat they left tools in the engine bay. I checked the oil and I question if they ever changed the oil as it was dirty and it looked old. I'm sick over the fact that I paid another $1800 for winterization and an impeller change. Cross my fingers in spring if the boat will run

I dropped my boat off on Monday and picked it up on Friday giving them the week to fix all issues with the expectation that all issues would be fixed. When I picked my boat up, they replaced the bunks, but simply listed other issues (bearings leaking grease, tires low on tread, guide on broken) rather than fixing them? Odd, but I figured I'd survive. They charged me $518 to replace two bunks... $384 in labor, seems a bit steep, but I figured it'd be done well and should last at least a few years. Two trips after the bunks were replaced the carpet had worn through on the bunks. I messaged Aaron who asked me to send a photo. I sent the photo and he told me that I likely "dry loaded" the boat which caused the issue. I told him that wasn't the case, and asked if I should expect the carpet to only last two trips? Regardless of how it's loaded I can't imagine this should take place with brand new carpet. To me it appears the bunks should be angled differently as the carpet is wearing on the top edge on both sides. Aaron has since not responded to my messages. I personally would not bring my boat here again. The carpet itself was listed at $30, so rather than taking a $30 hit and replacing it, I've been ghosted. I would recommend going elsewhere.. Every other place in the city was too busy to fit me in, but if I were you I'd wait an extra week or two to get your service done correctly.
