I sat at the bar and it was a nice size. Casual place for a nice environment several tv's all around the room keno playing as well. The bartender was a good guy pleasant knowledgeable and funny guy and the beers were nice and cold. Got a Bacon cheeseburger mid- rare came with a toasted bun lettuce tomato and onion ketchup and mayonnaise on the side the burger was absolutely delicious and juicy and perfect the French fries were also cooked just right also. Food was decent but bathrooms need a complete overhaul (not well cleaned in a very long time it appears). Took a long time to be waited on and didn't seem as though our waitress had a good day. When you walk in it seems like it's trying to be a sports pub but it's more like a Ground Round / Applebee's kinda cross over dealio. The place was mostly dead, but, it's a random Monday in January. I've driven by here 100x and kept saying I wanted to check them out. Ok. Appetizer was the 3 way combo which is potato skins, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. Glad I didn't bring my 6 year old. He would never have tried the chicken. Us adults, however, loved the sweet and sour sauce. Mozzarella sticks were solid as were the potato skins My girl got the tour of Italy. The lasagna was like 1 lasagna noodle folded multiple times to form what was intended to look like baked lasagna. It was held together with a slice of provolone (odd). There is no consistency w cheese on chicken parm. She had more cheese on the one piece she got than I got on both pieces combined. But if one of us got short changed, I prefer it to be me over her. When our food arrived we were asked if we needed anything. I asked for grated cheese which didn't come till the table next to us got their dinners. All in all, the good was ok. I have been to this place around 4 times and they seem to be pleasantly consistent. One of my favorites is the triple seafood. Fantastic haddock, large shrimp and sea scallops. I got the fried selection. Broiled is a choice. All of this with an ocean of excellent onion rings. I will be back for this and the atmosphere and excellent service. read more

Went here this evening with my Fiancé. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and welcoming. The staff, especially our waiter Jared, were outstandingly friendly and very quick with service. We opted for the Two Dinners for $36. He chose the baked haddock and I the turkey dinner. The meal came with two desserts as well. We split Grape Nut Custard and Strawberry Shortcake, and finished off our meals with two coffees. Hats off to the kitchen staff because the food was incredible. Especially the stuffing! (I am very picky when it comes to stuffing). Half the steak tips came out flat, kind of like a flank steak and well done when I ordered medium. Went to Mr. Mike's in Haverhill the other night. We have been by this many, many times and have never gone in, so we decided to check it out. There is a huge bar area with booths and high tops and a large dining room. We sat in the bar area in a booth. Although we were in the bar area, the noise level was decent. We have sat in the bar area at other restaurants and the noise level was off the charts. This was not. They offer Keno in the bar area. They have quite an extensive menu. Something for everyone. I got a Cosmo. The drink was delicious. The waitress brought a basket of soft Italian bread with butter. The menu was so extensive, I was having a hard time choosing what to get. I got the Shepherd's Pie that was on the specials for that night. my husband, Prime Rib. We both got a salad with Italian dressing. The salads were ice cold and made with Iceberg lettuce. Also had cukes and cherry tomatoes. Very good. My Shepherds Pie came. Delicious mashed potato, corn and ground beef base. Steaming hot. Was very good. My husbands Prime Rib was delicious and tasty and a decent size. He got mashed potatoes as one of his sides. The Prime Rib comes with two sides. They have quite a selection of sides to choose from as well. Our waitress was very attentive and the service was excellent. Very pleasant dining experience and would definitely go back. read more

Went the other night and it was GREAT! The waitress was fabulous and VERY patient! We were seated promptly and treated well by all staff.

disappointing evening, good service, poor management. Went with a large group. Server was great, prices, like everywhere went up. Used to be able to get a cup of their outstanding Chili with their dinners for two paying an up charge. You no longer can do that. Theire was twelve in our party, ten received their meal, we were told the kitchen forgot to start the other two. There meals arrived when everyone else was done. The manager walked by and I asked if I could ask a question but he kept walking. They used to have great strawberry shortcake but have replaced the strawberries with a jellied strawberry. I asked to have broccoli instead and was told that to get that and a cup of soup it would have to be with an up charge. We had a wonderful time at Mr Mikes for our Thanksgiving. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was prompt and attentive. Three of us had the turkey special and it was perfect! One had the steak tips and it was delicious! Also, one of our friends had chicken Parmesan. Again , perfect! We had several drinks and were offered dessert, but we were so stuffed but couldn't fit another morsel. We've already discussed and agreed that we will be back there next year! So this place last night had the most ridiculous incident I've ever witnessed. The police arrived because another patron called the police on 2 old ladies for being under the influence. What a complete scene. They wouldn't let one woman get her phone or call her a taxi . If you are over serving your patrons call a taxi for them . So we have been longtime customers. Very disappointed in the actions of a manger we witness yesterday at around 11:15am. The manager (women will not say name) was very unprofessional to a waitress (will not same name) was actually screaming at the top of her lungs at are employee. Using vulgarity and very wrongful actuations of family which we feel is a very personal thing. The manger handle this so inappropriately and was not considering other employees present and customer's in the bar area. I wish I could give a negative review. I'm not sure how this place is still in business! The place was empty like a ghost town at 6pm and yet they decided that they needed to sit a party of four RIGHT NEXT TO US so we couldn't even really have our own conversations without talking over each other. The food was disgusting. The salad looked like it was about to turn, the dressing was extremely tart and they give you a tiny portion. In my opinion, it wasn't even enough for the salad. The waitress kept popping out every couple minutes to ask us if we had decided on food, (probably because she was bored due to lack of customers.) Not the most polite lady either. They got my order wrong. I ordered raviolis (I am positive they were store bought - the sauce most likely as well.) and when they got my order wrong (WAY OFF BASE) they tried to INSIST that I ordered what they brought - it wasn't even pasta! The only positive thing I can say about this place is that at least my soda wasn't flat / watered down. Never Again. read more

We are sitting here now. 15 minutes before we saw a waitress. Another 10 minutes to get our drinks. It has been 20 minutes now and we still haven't received our app. This has to be the worst service I have ever had. So in the end about 25 minutes to get our app. Then we ordered the entree when the app arrived. The entree came out in about 10 minutes. We were still eating the app when the entree came out. Overall the food was very good. The kitchen was messed up getting food out and we had to wait for drinks and refills. I am a big fan of Mr. Mike's. Truly a hidden gem in the area. You wouldn't think much of this place from the outside. It's very unassuming, but inside after you are seated and examine the menu, you'll see the allure. It's a real fun experience for all. Inside is spacious and cozy. There's a bar area, as well as booths and tables. The menu is extensive, and I have not been disappointed by my food ever. I have enjoyed the Fried chicken cordon bleu wrap, the steak and cheese sub, the French dip sandwich, and other dishes I can't recall. (My mom wanted me to give a shoutout to the caprese with tomato, mozzarella, and fried eggplant). The menu has so much to offer. Staff is kind and respectful. Never have to wait too long for your meal. The food is cooked to near perfection. While you could go to other more well-known restaurants in the area, CHOOSE Mr. Mike's. I had the chicken Marsala with spaghetti, which had no sauce, was flavorless, and was topped with a glob of provolone cheese. I had to dump a ton of salt, pepper, and jarred Parmesan on it to make it edible. My boyfriend had the Cacciatore, which was just some ordinary red sauce with sausage, peppers, and onions. So wanted to leave a great review. Cool neighborhood restaurant with the sweetest waitress ever, BUT, visited restroom before food was delivered, and it reminded me of one at a cheesy filling station on the highway. Dirty and smelly. Horrible. Now back to the food, I had spaghetti and meatballs in a meat sauce and turkey rice soup. The soup was actually good and earned one of the stars. The spaghetti was a huge portion lightly sauced with a pretty tasteless meat sauce. Mostly a huge portion of plain spaghetti with 2 mediocre meatballs. Wasn't worth taking home the 2/3's remaining. My wife had the homemade meatloaf with gravy, baked potato and broccoli. One bite and she said, worst meatloaf she had ever had. I tried it and it was a large slice of tastelessness. The gravy had an off putting taste and has the grit remaining from the powder it came from. The baked potato was cold and the broccoli over cooked. Her dinner became the very nice bread served. Large portions of below average food at reasonable prices along with dirty bathrooms. But a really sweet waitress. Not a winning combination. One and done. read more
