My daughter ordered a breakfast meal and liked it. They have hot, cold coffees. It's in a big house with a warm home feel. People working are kind and they bring your food to you. Both were ample portions, cooked to perfection, very tasty, and arrived pretty quickly especially considering how busy they were! This casual family owned and operated restaurant cafe serves up breakfast all day and lunch. The place was redone with a brighter and an inviting atmosphere with booths along the walls and in front, table seating in the center and counter seating in the dining area. There are patriotic prints on the walls and checkered floors remain. I've picked up Lebanese and Italian food from the previous restaurant in this space and it's bittersweet seeing a small town breakfast and lunch spot open up in its place. There are a few other options in this area, but spread out. I decided to stop by here for breakfast before work. I got here just before 6:30 and sat myself in a booth which had menus to look at. The breakfast menu offerings include breakfast platters, 3 egg omelettes, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast burritos, Tony The Tiger (frosted flakes French toast), hash (canned and homemade (soon)) and breakfast sides. The lunch menu offerings include fried appetizers, hand cut fries, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soup, chili, salads, comfort dishes, and daily specials. The prices seem fair, most meals $8 to $15 range (in 2024). After I was seated, the server came over and offered a drink and I requested an ice water since I already had coffee beforehand. They did not have homemade hash yet, so I eventually decided to go with the Steak Bomb Omelette ($13.50 plus tax) with choice of toast (I chose sourdough) and one side (I got home fries). My food was served in about 8 minutes after ordering. There was a good amount of hot food on my plate. The omelette was filled with grilled shaved steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms & cheese (I chose cheddar) with a folded thin egg sheet. This omelette was pretty good. The home fries were fresh cut potatoes (cube cut) lightly grilled and seasoned, which were potatoey and with the skins. The sour dough toast was firm and had minimal butter. The server dropped off the check as I was almost done eating, no rush. The check was $14.65 with tax and before tip. Overall, this is a good place stop for food and I plan to stop by for lunch next time since I saw they had chicken tenders, reubens, monte cristos, mac & cheese, and spaghetti & meatballs (Wednesdays). The friendly staff knew people by name as they stopped in for breakfast. The service for weekday breakfast was prompt and I was able to make to work on time. It is noted they are closed on Sundays (at the time of this posting).

The coffee, on the other hand, is now $4.00. 2nd highest in Salem (Friendly Toast owns that honor). Considering most other breakfast plaes are only $3.29 or less I think that's pretty high. The food is still good, still worth the money. The service is usually very good but there are times when the waitresses tends to get busy and forget we are there. I'm a regular there and I see no reason to change that. Good food and decent prices....except that coffee.

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.

Was there a few Saturday nights ago. We made a reservation and still had to wait over half an hour for a table. The older woman at the front is really rude and talks down to the employees right in front of guests. When we finally were seated, they brought us water and bread in a timely manner. Our server, Amy was very attentive and personable. We asked about chicken dishes and she suggested the Saltimbocca and the Langistino. We got both and shared them, they were excellent! She also suggested a fantastic red wine, which I had a glass and my sister had the martini she suggested. I only wish we had saved room for dessert. Next time we make it over there we want to try the brunch she told us about. Either way, next time we go, Amy will be a request for sure! She made us feel at home even though it was so busy and everyone was clearly running around. It seems mismanaged and instead of talking to guests, maybe the management could help the servers and bus people more. Just an observation from someone that worked in the industry years ago. read more

This place is by far my favorite restaurant. No wonder they are considered the best in NH. I have been going here for years and I'm finally taking a moment to yelp this place. Their menu is vast and they used to be "a la carte" but it seems they changed that. I am glad that they did, which entices me to go more often. My last visit was just as great as my first, and I have all my special occasions here. My favorite dish has to be the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. The seafood is fresh and the taste of the sauce is just perfect. I give this place Five stars. read more

This is a restaurant in its death throes, which is a shame because some of the food was pretty good. But some of what my party ordered was pretty bad, too. There were two waiters for a whole dining room, and while they were nice enough, they weren't particularly well-trained. We had to wait forever for refills, the silverware was dirty, he didn't know what the special was. The owner was holding court at the bar, overseeing everything, but doing nothing to help. I imagine this place will close pretty soon, when he decides to go into full retirement. read more

I went there just the other day for the first time. I thought the food was delicious, but I thought it was ridiculous that my meal didn't come with a side of pasta... I ordered chicken marsala for $15 bucks, and they couldn't even throw in a side of pasta - it was another $3! Oh, and the decor is a little wacky (one room looks like an italian restaurant and another like a Chinese restaurant!), but I guess is long as the food is good, who cares what it looks like. read more

My old haunt. I have not been in a while, busy. The stuffed Squid and Veal Chop Saltimbocca are my favorites. If you want to go crazy on a good bottle of wine they have a special selection menu or you can stick to the reasonable bottle. The owner has always been gracious with the lemon cello after dinner. I truly think it is better than the North End restaurants, if you like authentic Italian food. I hope to be back soon. read more

Honestly the worst expierence ever, the people were nice but I don't need multiple people serving me. The bill alone was outrageous and for the food we got it wasn't worth it.(compared to other local restaurants) I've never been here before and expected it to be nice, but it wasn't really good at all. One awesome thing to see while I'm there, is the owner and his family are always walking around, making sure all guests are happy and if they're in need of anything. When it came back, it appeared to be the same piece of meat that had been reheated. My guess is that they submerged it in Au Jus (basically boiling it) to hasten the cooking process. It should never have left the Kitchen in the first place and the second effort was not much of an improvement. The accompanying Mashed Potatoes were dry and unappetizing. Asparagus was scant but good. I had the Beet Salad with Grilled Chicken. It was excellent. Sadly, the "Prime" Rib debacle will keep us from going back for Dinner. Their wheelhouse seems to be more geared towards Pub style offerings.
