Very much enjoyed this place! I had the rice, pinto beans and pernil and it tasted just like home. We made it in just before their lunch rush but the cafeteria style set up made for quick service for everyone. This is a cafeteria style serving location, with delicious food. For under $9 you get a large portion of rice, a selection of meat, and plantains or yuca. There are several different rice styles from: white, yellow, rice and peas, and rice with meat. Several selections of meat, and additional sides to choose from as well. The ropa vieja is delicious and always moist. My only complaint is that there isn't someone who speaks English or just isn't willing to let you know all the options. There also isn't a set menu with prices. Just a screen that rotates. I would love to try some additional items but don't know what some are or if I can mix and match items.
