All of the service staff has changed, and their waitresses are no longer friendly or inviting. Our recent visit (in a long time) resulted us having a waitress who was just completely clueless. She asked for our drink orders upon sitting, she came back with one persons drink, and the others were sitting there for at least 15 minutes without their drink. When she finally came back, she forgot the order (that she wrote down) and had to retrieve the remaining drinks. She then took our order, but was just really rude. When asking about a menu item she laughed in our faces and talked down to us about it (we wanted to make sure that the eggs were actually poached for the eggs Benedict). About 10-20 minutes later, she walked back to the table, clearly flustered, and asked "okay, what do you guys want to order?" To which we replied that she had already taken our order. She looked blankly at our table, and said "who, me? Or someone else?" It was genuinely concerning. At this point, we've been at the diner for about 30 minutes, finally have drinks, but no food. When she finally returns with a tray full of food, the order is correct, but, lo and behold, the eggs on BOTH Benedict's are essentially hard boiled, and to top it off, there were bits of egg shells throughout the dishes. Overall, our experience was so much less than desirable, and I can honestly say that we will not be returning. Bring back the old City Limits diner, get rid of the really bad waitstaff, and improve the kitchen practices.

First, the location. I had doggo with me so went through the drive through. There is signage, but you still have to look for it. Drive through is on the back side of the building. Don't be scared, it was an easy process. The hardest part was figuring out what to order! Second, Service was quick and friendly but the speaker is a bit quiet, so be sure to turn your radio down so y'all can hear each other. The price! I ordered the #1 chicken and waffles plate and added on a small ice caramel coffee for a grand total of UNDER $12. That's extremely reasonable, imo. Finally, I ordered the chicken and waffles that I'd been staring at the past few weeks. The chicken tenders were crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned so as not to overshadow the waffles. The waffle was fresh and hot, not too sweet, and complemented the chicken and syrup. The iced caramel coffee, while sweet, didn't make me feel like I was just drinking sugar. I could still taste the coffee, and it wasn't bitter either! So, basically, don't miss a visit to Elsa's!! So yummy and a local business. Support local!!

The place was nice and clean and had a nice coffee shop vibe. Freshly made brussel waffles and the combo leige waffles were fantastic. The dark salted chocolate is a Belgian waffle but not your typical "we just used pancake mix to make your waffle". It was amazingly crunchy, sweet and satisfying. Also ordered the protein coffee and it wasn't so hot it would strip the tastebuds off my tongue but a very sensible "hot" coffee. You order at a kiosk and it's nice that they have a picture of every offering on the wall. Service is good. At least to me, place isn't very whimsical as I found the place very plain. Yes, I saw one round elven door but had no idea there were others. It's nice that they had toys and a table for the little ones but placement could have been better or more separated out since toys are between a regular table and the kids table. I assume if more children showed up it would be a bit challenging to be the table so very close to the toys. That said, sit away from the toys and make sure to order one of their delicious offerings!

The carpeting remains the same, and sometimes, you can smell the 70s. Hmm. However, if you're here for the food , you're in luck. I will say that although this is more of a breakfast spot, I like the lunch items better. I love the Super King double burger, the 4 oz Ribeye sandwich, and the fries. I haven't tried the beef Wellington...yet. All the omelettes, and pretty much all the waffles are pretty much about average. Ask Brandon what a "Malted Waffle" is. Some of the other waffle options are cool sounding (cored out waffles with scrambled eggs imbedded, meat cooked into the waffles), but I haven't tried any yet. Even when they're busy, the wait doesn't seem to be that bad. Always inexpensive. Even now Sam and Charlie's feels very much like a throwback to a simpler era, and, the food is good. 4+1 stars.

Fortunately, Findlay has a Waffle House and it did not disappoint. the place is open 24 hours, and since I was up early, I needed to get a solid breakfast before hitting the road. I came in here and for a Tuesday, the place was pretty steady with traffic, which is always a good sign. I got my usual of 2 eggs scrambled, white toast and hash browns with their delicious apple jelly. Food was on point, and my bill was only $6.14! I know they serve other food here, but I'm a breakfast lady, so I had to stop in here. Service was quick, but my server kept forgetting stuff, and I had to ask for the jelly that she forgot for my toast, and the hot sauce she kept forgetting. No big deal, but kind of annoying. Waffle House is always spot on with their food and I wish we had one here in Michigan.

ALL-STAR Waffle House location, folks!…read more I suspect other reviews that rated this location poorly visited when there were less-than-desirable employees running the show, because today when my partner and I made a quick stop on our way home around 1pm, the Dream Team was ON THE BALL. Communication is KEY in a spot like Waffle House, and it was great to see all of the employees clearly speaking (not arguing/fussing/gossiping/etc.) about the work at hand AND keeping each other accountable in a kind and professional way. Everyone was working here: everyone was keeping the line clean, everyone was washing dishes, everyone was bussing their stations, everyone was taking out trash, and everyone was listening to the line cooks. Jabree and Shaudee are killing the game on the grill. Not only are they working in synchronized precision cooking AND filling the prep line, they're calling out to the servers, "Hot food here!" when a prepared plate sits ignored for any more than 5 seconds after they finish making it. At one point, Shaudee called "Hot food here!" two or three times for one plate, then went looking for the server. No cold food on her watch! I wasn't mad! Our server, Morgan, got my order right the first time. She has a great smile, an even better attitude, and was clear with Jabree about how my special request was to be served (I heard her call it twice for confirmation). Seriously, whoever trained this crew did their job well. There's a sense of urgency, but not panic, and that results in customers getting their food quickly and correctly. You're not waiting more than 5-7 minutes for your food at this location. Period. Honestly, Jabree did such a great job with my hashbrowns (scattered smothered covered, double onions, fried hard), that I had to take a picture. They don't spilt their tips at Waffle House, so when your order is right (and tasty!) consider tipping the cook directly like you know I did! If you can catch the Dream Team at this spot, you're in for a treat, no matter where you sit, so call ahead and find out when Morgan, Tink, Lynette, Shaudee, and Jabree are holding it down, and they'll hold YOU down.

They will turn you away. Quaint small space, nicely decorated and clean. We arrive for our 11am reservation with an extra person and they nicely accommodated us. Space is at premium. They have mostly 2 seater round tables. Wasn't aware of that prior but now we know. We all knew what we wanted before arriving so orders were placed at 11:10. Drinks were brought out and our server was very friendly. My entree was the avocado wrap made with a very thin waffle. At 11:45 i'm told there is no avocado for my wrap. We are the only table in here, they just opened up, why did it take 35 minutes to discover this and make me aware?? I understand things being made fresh to order but there is NO ONE ELSE HERE. I opted to take the wrap anyway and just add bacon to it. Very glad i did. It was outstanding. The raspberry jam hit perfectly with the bacon addition. This is not a huge portion and that was perfect for me as i was going to the gym after leaving this place. My two friends both had the shrimp and grits and they really enjoyed it. My friends food arrived before mine. You can see from the picture there is nothing miraculous going on with this wrap to make it take so long to create, plate and serve. I love the quaint space, enjoyed the food and our server was great. I love in the neighborhood and wanted a new breakfast spot to walk to. The speed of service was my only let down and it's a huge let down.

Being that it was snowing, I was tired and had a million other things to do, I decided to stop in and have breakfast here on the fly. Walking in, the place is large, but the tables and chairs are sparse. Not much to see here, but they seem to be holding it together. I was seated immediately and my server was attentive and nice. She snagged me a menu and they have a good selection of food to choose from. I ventured off from my usual eggs and hash browns for once and tried their breakfast sandwich. From experience, not all breakfast sandwiches are created equal! I was skeptical from being disappointed in the past. I also ordered a side of hash browns because I wanted to see what they were like. I got the sandwich on Texas toast and let me tell you, it was fabulous! It was egg and cheese only and so good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hash browns were as well. They were cubed style, with some onions and spice to it. I topped it off with a dash of hot sauce and boom, there ya go folks, good stuff it is! My bill was about $8 give or take, I can't remember the exact amount. Overall, a good meal for a decent price. While the place isn't super fancy on the inside, it really made a good impression on me!
