My first time moving here from CA I saw there was a Vietnamese restaurant down the street from my house and I was super excited to try it. My first time here I ordered the banh mi and spring rolls. If I had done my review after that visit it would've been a 1 star. Both were not good. The banh mi was made like they were out of ingredients. The banh mi sandwiches I'm used to are filled to the brim. Overflow of meat, pate, veggies. I asked for extra paté and they didn't even have it. Big mistake to have it without. And the spring rolls, how could you miss on that as well. Fast forward I give it another try and order their special combo pho--ding ding ding! Broth super good and not salty! This made me a repeat customer. Everything else has been great.

Egg rolls, egg noodles lo mein is amazing, vermicellis were good and my husband loves their bun bo hue!

Pho combo and egg rolls, really wanted to love the noodle soup but they weren't up to our expectations. We would have loved the depth in the soup. House noodle had an interesting sweetness to it that I wasn't a big fan of.

TLDR: Pho, tofu over rice, and egg rolls are a must try here! Service: Waitress was very nice and attentive. We got there right before supper so we were immediately seated. Pho: tender meat, good broth and noodles, and fresh vegetables to add (Thai basil, jalapeño, cilantro, bean sprouts, and lime). Tofu over rice: Seasoned and grilled small triangular cuts of tofu. Nicely seasoned. I do wish that they were fried just for a slightly better texture, but that's just a me thing because textures bother me sometimes. They were small enough that the pieces weren't too soft though like tofu sometimes is. I used the variety of condiments on the table to add seasoning to my rice as it was just plain white rice on the side. My party of 4 others agreed that the tofu was delicious. Boba: Milk tea with tapioca pearls. Tea was delicious. However, some of the boba was undercooked and had a "bite" to it still. I would rather they be slightly under instead of over and a gelatinous blob but it is still something to note. Sesame Chicken: Sauce was a little sweet but good.

Starters: spring rolls, egg rolls, and pan-fried dumplings were all good. I do wish that the spring rolls had more veg in them than just lettuce though.

If you're on the hunt for Vietnamese flavor gems in Panama City, Mr. Pho is a winner. From the moment you walk in you sense they take pride in their space : it's always clean and "unPHOgettable" merch jokes and cutely drawn wall facts make you grin as you wait for your food. Let's talk food: the pho is solid (their P1 Mr. Pho Combination with multiple meats is a go-to). But don't sleep on the wings! Their fish sauce wings are so good! If you love fish sauce you'll def enjoy the tangy and crisp from these. My partner once got the claypot with Chinese sausage and still raves about it (seriously, I'm jealous of the leftovers I didn't get). What elevates the place, though, is the service. The staff always seem genuinely happy to help , are welcoming, attentive & knowledgeable.The ambiance is comfortable casual. All in all: flavor, friendliness is solid. Highly recommend for pho lovers, wing fans, or anyone craving a dish that hits the soul (and the stomach).

We were happy to find this restaurant as we were traveling home to Tampa after few days in Destin. It's a pleasant surprise to find pretty delicious Pho is this part of the state (vegetable is little thin. The waitress was also very pleasant. I wish that it's closer to SanDestin area as we would definitely visit it. Panama City is a little out of the way from there for us.

We absolutely loved our Pho last night. Best Pho in the area for sure! Our server was also the best! Menu is expansive and we can't wait to go back. Having lived near or in, two of the largest Vietnamese communities in the USA (Houston and Westminster/Garden Grove) and also, have traveled to Ho Chi Minh City. I think I have had my share of good and also bad Pho. With that said. The Pho here at Mr Pho was very delicious and made in the style of southern Vietnam. The star of the soup was the fragrant broth, that had a good depth of flavor from all the aromatic spices used in the making of this almost clear but flavorful broth. The noodles were plentiful and perfectly cooked with a nice chew to them. The selection of meats were good, I was just missing the rare beef. I personally would have liked maybe a bit more of the green and white onion in the bowl of soup. Maybe more than a single slice of jalapeño and a little cilantro would have help also, but I was glade they were generous with the Thai basil. Now that is just my preference for a perfect bowl of Pho. I did appreciated the variety of additional hot chili sauces on the table. I also tried the summer rolls. They were okay, but for me personally I thought they were on the bland side, could have use some kind of fresh herb such as Thai Basil, cilantro, or fresh mint in the roll. The peanut sauce served with rolls was nice and added a positive element to the dish. I also tried the Chargrilled Pork Banh Mi. First off the bread was very close to a true Vietnamese baguette with a crispy outer crust yet light and airy on the inside. The chargrilled pork was very flavorful, delicious and there was an abundance of meat. The pickled carrot and radish were also spot on crispy and lightly pickled to perfection . As a whole I thought the sum of all the ingredients of this Banh Mi made for a very cohesive and delicious sandwich. For my personal taste I would have like maybe a little smear of mayonnaise or pate or both to make it perfect. The place was clean. Service was adequate. I got there at around 11:00 am and it was almost completely full by 11:30 am on a Tuesday. All and all I had a good meal and will I diffidently will be back and highly recommended this place.

Delicious and authentic. I'm sure everything on the menu is good but I stick to the classic Pho. The waiters are very attentive and honest. Although small, a very friendly and welcoming restaurant. Any kind of craving in the area, come here. It'll only satisfy you but leave you with extras!

I did not expect to find Vietnamese food out here. We tried the dumplings for the appetizer, the vermicelli bowl with nem nuong and pho with rare beef and meatballs. The service is quick and friendly. The place is pretty clean. Coming from Orange County, CA, the food is not as authentic but still goof enough to satisfy my craving for Asian food.

Stop by for an early lunch and was either craving a bowl of pho of their bo kho (Vietnamese beef stew). I ended up getting the bo kho with a side of French bread to dip with the broth. Broth was decent, but wasn't flavorful as I like. it wasn't too salty either, which was good. The beef was very tender as well. The veggies that came with the soup was not fresh at all, it was brown like it was left out for a while. I did try their summer roll and it was not good to me. Plenty of seats and I did enjoy their educational wall art. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

Recently visited PCB. Mr. Pho is the best thing we ate while there. It's a 40 min drive from where we usually stay, but worth it. The fried rice was great, the chow fun rocked, and the bun ga nuong was fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Staff was really nice too. read more

It's a nice place that isn't too loud, some staff was very nice, some were questionable with their service. I'm easygoing so I let it go, but if you're one for service, sometimes you have to take the initiative. Thankfully other people in the team make up for any lack of attention. I liked the quality and the flavors. I'm used to a lower quality of the Vietnamese coffee and pho and was delightfully surprised. When I went last week it was a little chaotic and other than a few stressed faces, seemed like everyone worked together. Personally it felt a little tight for space and I hoped it would be bigger or less tight. If I can find a less busy night I will be back, glad we have this culinary niche filled now. read more

I went there Sunday. I love Vietnamese food and have traveled the world in and out of the Navy. I had the rare round steak Pho. I have had at least 50 different Pho from 50 different Restaurants and Mr Pho hands down is the Best. Flavor Town! I'll be back again and again. read more

Mr Pho Vietnamese Restaurant was founded to bring authentic Vietnamese flavors to Panama City, Florida. Our family-run restaurant focuses on traditional recipes, fresh ingredients, and warm hospitality. Over the years, Mr Pho has become a local favorite for pho noodle soup, banh mi sandwiches, and Vietnamese comfort food.

Meet the Business Owner: Jimmy M.

The history of "Mr. PHO" derives from a long journey from Vietnam to America. A married couple, are a product of the Vietnam War and immigrated to America for a better opportunity: to live the American Dream. Years of hardship came before they were able to open their first pho restaurant. 20 years later of leadership and pho managing experience, they decided they wanted a fresh start on a new pho restaurant. The husband traveled to Vietnam in search of cultivating the best pho broth he could. He returned to America and worked with his wife's brother to experiment until they developed a recipe he could be proud of. One year later after the departure, they opened Mr. Pho

My husband and I ate here today and we will definitely be regulars! The staff was really friendly and accommodating. I don't eat meat and all of the bahn mi have meat, but they gladly made me one without any, and they came to check and make sure I actually liked it too. There's only one vegetable broth pho on the menu and I had very low expectations because of that, but it was actually spectacular. It was better than the pho that we had last time we visited Vietnam, and I don't say that lightly! We also had the fried tofu spring rolls and they were really great! We had Phở Tái and even though the taste was good the temperature of the broth should have been hotter. They had no basil and also no daikon with the carrots. I really like daikon so I was sad that they didn't have it. Overall the food tasted great. read more
