Delicious food, friendly staff and cute inside. Will be back! The paella was cooked perfectly and was fantastic. Can't wait to try it again, you have to call ahead for the rabbit paella.

    PAELLA! For 4

What a gem ! Spanish cuisine with a Spanish chef. We have been looking for a traditional paella plate and there we are ! We chose the seafood option but they also offer many others. Look at the generous shrimps they cooked ! Plenty for the 4 of us and even leftovers. They also offer many diverse tapas. This time we got to have tortillas and they were tasty. The chef came out and shared a bit of his story with our table. Very friendly and really passionate in sharing his cooking. The restaurant is simply decorated with paintings and you'll recognize some key spots from Spain. Area is good enough for small and bigger parties. Parking is ample too. I'm a little sad that it requires a bit of drive, coming from Houston. We submitted a request for the chef to move closer and/or open a second location in Houston. To be continued ! Until then, this does feel like memories from Spain!

Food was delicious and service was not bad. Loved the empanadas and the complimentary Cuban bread with butter. They will add 15% to your check if pay with credit card/dine in. Overall, love this place and will return.

Tapas were excellent! Go check it out, new location in the East end, easy parking and no need for dinner reservation. Can't wait to try the Cuban for lunch sometime!

Why 5 stars? Because this was my favorite Cuban food in Texas so far. --- --- --- After living in Tampa for nearly 15 years, I've eaten enough Cuban food to become Cuban. I think that's how that works? Since moving to Texas, the amount of Cuban restaurants has been cut by approximately 98%, and the few restaurants I've found just don't compare. It's similar to Mexican food in Tampa - there are basically two good places and they are both owned by the same person. I planned on ordering a couple Cuban sandwiches and calling it a day, but when I was looking at the menu, I noticed paella. It said to please allow 25 minutes to prepare, so I was heavily debating whether to actually order it. I looked up paella within the reviews and noticed a pretty universal love for it. And I overheard an employee telling a patron how good the paella was. So I dove in and took the paella plunge. The bad news is that 25 minutes actually turned out to be an hour. I ended up just placing the order and then heading back to my parent's house to wait for it. While the wait time was kind of crazy, it was pretty solid paella. I've had better, but not much better. And the Cuban Sandwiches were also the best I've had in Texas. Again, not as good as Florida, but close. The bread was much thicker than any I found in Florida, even after being pressed. We ordered plantains and a guava cheesecake for dessert and both were great. The cheesecake was very unique - its texture was similar to some kind of soufflé, which I did not expect. It was heavy and rich, so my mom and I didn't even finish one slice when sharing it. Granted, I just ate a whole serving of paella, a very thick 1/2 of a Cuban sandwich and several plantains, so maybe that contributed. Kudos to Mr Sabor for bringing the Cuban flavor to Texas. Even if they had to borrow Paella from Spain, they did a great version of it.

Authentic and so good! Great service and planning to go back. The pork dish was amazing and so were the beef empanadas. My husband enjoyed the lamb. Everything was hot and fresh!

This place was an unexpected find. My friend brought me and other friends in and we were pleasantly surprised. The empanadas and croquettes were good, though I preferred the empanadas more. We also ordered extra plantains because we cold not get enough. The cuban sandwich was sooooo good. The bread was nice and toasty and the insides were nicely warmed. The sandwich is also larger than you think, I could not finish one on my own. Will definitely be returning because I want to try the paella!

What a delightful surprise! We are newcomers to this cuisine, and it did not disappoint. The service was incredibly fast, and we enjoyed the colorful atmosphere. Now I want to try everything on the menu! We shall return.

I'm giving it 3 stars based on my entire experience, not just the food. First and foremost, this is a hole in a wall Spanish - Cuban experience in Webster that I am grateful it is there next to my parents place. However the food kind of fell short. You walk in and it decked out with plants and photos of Cuba. I was really excited about this place! Our server greeted us but he did not seem excited, like at all. It was kind of disappointing because we expressed excitement, sharing that our family was from Cuba but he did not seem interested lol. So that kind of ruined the time there. I ordered the arroz con pollo and it was pretty good except the salt fell short. I tried the other dishes and was impressed with the ropa vieja and how flavorful it was. The picadillo had an interesting taste I could not get behind. My mom's Cuban sandwich was thick and the bread was overriding the flavors inside. Anyway, glad I tried it, but probably won't be going back.

Leo greeted my party with a fantastic smile and his service at our table never wavered. The restaurant was comfortable and clean. We began our dinner with croquetas de Jamon Serrano: perfect! I wanted more! Carne de cerdo frito was sublime with a perfect flavor and texture. Carne de res aliñado was tender and cooked with delicious onions. Camarones con ajo we're delicious and a perfect portion. Cafecitos y pastelito de guayaba ended this wonderful meal. The staff here were so friendly and made sure all was to our liking. Leo's service was exemplary, and made me definitely want to return and try the paellas.

My Strategy when trying new restaurants is to go hungry so that the meal would be honest with my taste buds. Was excited when I initially found this authentic Restaurant boasting cuisines from Spain & Cuba. My review will be pretty short and direct. I was not pleased with presentation or what was received. Ordered to-go, dear host when customers ask questions sell them on your best sellers. Garlic shrimp for the pricing was absurd was given a little bit of shrimp and sides looked as if the plate was empty. Lets just say as a cook who takes pride in every dish I couldn't believe they gave a meal like this to a customer. Their chicken in creole sauce was horrible and an insult to creole cult my picture will show why. It literally tasted like it was cooked with lemon juice absolutely no flavor. I'm only glad that I order the soupa de Pollo or else my day would have been worse. The cheese cake although tasty after removing the burnt outer layer. Again I am baffled that this was even served to anyone to the point where I now find myself searching the web for Spaniard/ Cuban dessert to see if being served burnt is a thing. All in all between service, presentation and food quality 2 Stars at best.

Parking is pretty easy, there's a big garage that is pretty cheap, or you can park for free in the neighborhood. They have patio seating available if you wish to sit outdoors. This is a Spanish tapas restaurant, and their menu is very big it was pretty overwhelming to look at. Luckily for us, Richard locked in and ordered everything for us. If we were able to come a bit earlier we could've ordered during happy hour which has a lot of good discounts on their tapas What we ordered: - patatas bravas with chorizo - by far our fav dish of the night. The sauce is so so good. It's a must get, but I would pass on the chorizo next time - albondigas morunas - I enjoyed the lamb meatballs with cinnamon onions, couscous was good too - Plato de jamon Serrano - good app, love how you can customize it any way with the cheese, fruits, and olives - gambas al ajillo - shrimp in lemon garlic olive oil and red chili peppers, solid but not anything life changing or a must order - calamares a la plancha - grilled squid with roasted garlic and olive oil, very citrusy and unique - pemientos de padron - tasted just like air, really is just a Carrie for the lemon aioli which was really good - pescaditos Fritos - same as the pimento peppers. Came with harissa aioli and spicy tomato - sangria - we got some kind of jumbo size for a good deal. Good for sharing

Our server Ray was really kind and explained the menu concept to us and was so helpful in pointing out some delicious orders. We decided on several happy hour offerings - the chicken and beef empanadas, croquetas de patatas, bombas de queso, toasta de lengua, and a full order of the raba de toro (oxtail). For drinks I had the happy hour house sangria and piña loca. The sangria came out first and was so refreshing and with such a lovely aroma and spice. The piña loca was more of a miss for me - it tasted a bit like pineapple candy and was overly sweet. We had all our happy hour appetizers next. I was a bit surprised at how small the portion sizes are - keep in mind that the happy hour orders are half of the tapas plates, which are already small and designed for sampling. We split the empanadas and I adored the beef cheek empanada - the meat was seasoned so nicely and was deliciously soft. I also really liked the flavoring of the toasta de lengua. The croquetas and bombas had a lovely crunch to them. The oxtail came out next and the meat really was coming off the bone - so deliciously soft and well seasoned. It came with a side of bread and dipping oil that was a fantastic complement. We were amazed at how fast the service was. The staff were quick to fill up our waters and Ray checked on us the whole time we were there and took trouble to make sure we had a great experience. It's quite spacious with both an indoor area and relaxed outdoor patio. Overall this was a really tasty restaurant and I'm glad we got to try it. I would just keep in mind on your visit that it is on the pricey side, though the happy hour lets you get a nice sampling of their extensive menu. Till next time!

All times have been made with reservations as well, however their weekend brunch doesn't seem to be packed. Could definitely just walk in without a reservation. MAD is a solid tapas place, however after coming back from a trip to Spain, I realize the difference of taste and price. I've tried half of the appetizers listed on their current menu. I feel like I've tried other things that are no longer on the menu. I'd definitely recommend the croquetas (3 pcs of creamy goodness) and jamón ibérico (good, but overpriced imo). The pulpo just doesn't taste as good as it does in Spain obviously. Paella Valencia - should try if you've never had paella. Chicken thighs were cooked just right. Pato & apricot - duck recommended to be cooked medium rare. The duck was delicious, but the way the rice was prepared wasn't as good as the paella Valencia. Cochinillo ibérico - more worth it to order this than the appetizer. Scalloped potatoes and scrambled eggs make it a true brunch dish. Basque cheesecake - would recommend this as dessert of choice. It was delicious, light, and fluffy. Spanish churros - nothing like in Spain. They're super thin and definitely too oily. The chocolate ganache dipping sauce was also too oily for my liking. Love the aesthetic of the restaurant. The bathroom must also be seen as well. Definitely a place you can celebrate something special. Good for a date, group of friends or family. I can imagine how it would look at night, probably busy. Definitely want to try their dinner sometime. Park in the parking garage next to the restaurant. It was free every time I've been. :)

From the moment we arrived, the valet experience was unprofessional. The valet demanded payment upfront in a rude manner, did not return the correct change, and responded with a disrespectful tone when I asked about it. This immediately created a negative and uncomfortable impression. Unfortunately, things only got worse inside. The staff were unwelcoming and dismissive from the beginning. Despite multiple empty tables, we were seated right next to the entrance where cold air was constantly coming in, making it very uncomfortable for my family. When we politely asked for a different table, we were refused without any reasonable explanation. Instead, we were told that because we had a child and needed a high chair, this was the only table available, which made no sense at all. The table itself was cramped and clearly unsuitable for four people. What made this even more concerning is that a manager appeared to be present, yet no effort was made to resolve the situation or assist us. At that point, we decided to leave. This experience was not only frustrating, but also embarrassing in front of my family. I expected a much higher level of professionalism from a restaurant listed on Resy. I chose this restaurant based on my trust in the Resy platform and its association with American Express, and I expected a certain standard of professionalism that was clearly not met. I will also be reporting this experience to both Resy and American Express. I do not recommend this place.

As with several other restaurants I've reviewed recently, this is one that I normally wouldn't frequent, but since they were participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks they were on my radar. We got a table for three for the volunteers in one of my service groups to check it out. One of us had been here before, but the rest of us hadn't. The appetizers were pretty good, but nothing spectacular. The tapas variadas were more of a charcuterie plate than actual tapas, but were still a nice appetizer for the rest of the meal. The calamari was different from what you normally see (fried and served with marinara). Instead, this was boiled in garlic butter and onions, almost like a shrimp scampi type of dish. It made the calamari a bit more gummy than we'd like, but still worth trying. The item I was looking forward to most was the paella langosta, which I'd heard amazing things about. I'd been told that this was one of the best places to grab paella in Houston. Sadly, out of four different restaurants, this was by far the worst paella I'd had. It was lacking in flavor, seemed to be thrown together at the last minute, and just didn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere seemed like it would have been nice if not for an absolutely obnoxious table right next to us. They were boisterous and completely oblivious to the negative experience they were providing to the people at neighboring tables. On more than one occasion they got up and bumped one of our tables. The worst part is, we later found out that it was the owner entertaining some friends. You would think he'd have known better than to have other patrons treated like that. Service was a bit of a mess also. The waiter disappeared several times, never refilled our drinks, and we practically had to go searching for him after 20+ minutes of sitting around waiting for our checks. At least two of us were completely disappointed in our visit, and even the third, who had been there before, acknowledged that it wasn't quite what he'd experienced in the past. Oh well, he might be back, but we definitely won't.

I was lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar with no reservation. I arrived about 30 minutes into open and there was already a wait list. I suggest getting there early or making a reservation if you're not a solo diner. The interior is nice and intimate, with low lighting that doesn't work well for photos but definitely for a cozy dinner. The set up and music reminded me a little bit of 93 Til due to the decor. I started with the duck dumplings and the Nancy cakes. I wasn't expecting it but they offer half orders which is great for a solo diner who wants to try multiple things. Both items were delicious. The dumplings had a nice savory sauce with some texture from the peanuts. These were great but probably my bottom of the list which is saying something. I would only say this because they reminded me a lot of the hot oil wontons from duck and bao so at that price point, you might as well get more. The Nancy cakes were pillowy and savory and made a great vessel for honey butter and roe. I even used a bit to dunk into the leftover dumpling sauce. I suggest eating these as soon as they hit your table. I was trying to savor my bites but the cakes benefit a lot from being nice and hot. It's not the most ground breaking dish in the world but it's done well and I would definitely call it a must order. I could have eating a full order of it alone. My main dishes is where my mind was blown. I went with the roast chicken and half order of the gem lettuce salad and fries. This might be the best roast chicken I've ever had in Houston. Chicken can be a hit or a miss because sometimes, there just isn't much flavor. This was absolutely not the case here. The chicken was juicy and seasoned to the core. It even heated up well as left overs without being dry. The chili sauce on the bottom was flavor intensified and as I swiped my chicken through the pools of sauce, I thought to myself "overrated where?!". The gem salad caught me by surprise. I'm not one to stay away from a salad at a restaurant because they typically do them better than you can make at home . Nancy's Hustle solidified this opinion. The salad was wonderfully briney and savory. The lettuce was crisp and covered in the herby shallot dressing that grabbed my taste buds. Topped with anchovies and pancetta for a nice salty touch. So so good. The fries were the perfect side, crisp and not too potatoey (yes this is a thing). I traded in the aoli for some ketchup because that's just my thing. I concluded this wonderful dining experience with a dessert. Buttermilk ice cream with cornflakes, black berries and honey butter cookie. This dessert was a lesson in balance. Every component was present , sweet, salty, crunchy, cool. Each bite had something new to offer and combined into a perfectly executed dessert. As a cocktail, I tried their tropical drink. I don't remember what it was called but I know I could have drank about 7 of those. This was a great dining experience. I think when things get popular, sometimes we feel the need to be contrarians with our experiences. That wasn't the case for me. Nancy's Hustle has earned its popularity and I'll definitely be back

    1. Service - hostess, our waiter Victor, and the owner were all so nice. They were all kind and…read morefriendly. Victor was so attentive and he took good care of us. Ask for him if you ever go there. This is an A-La-Carte restaurant, so you order and pay at the table. 2. Price - inexpensive, but can add up. It's $10-$22 per tapas. For a family of 5, we had about 7 different tapas. 3. Ambiance - hip, cute, and cozy. Definitely a great place to bring a date, meet up friends, and even a family meal. Dress code here is casual, however most people here are dressed pretty nice for a Friday evening. There is loud Latino music that puts you in a party mood. This place is fun with good vibes. 4. Food - our meal was delicious, I highly recommend their STEAK A LA PLANCHA and their PATATAS BRAVAS. 5. Cleanliness - this place is well managed in both dining area and restrooms. OVERALL - I would definitely return. We had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant if you want some Spanish style food.
