After receiving a call on June 10, 2026 that they had deposited my $500 down payment, which they had misplaced having mailed the check to them in May, they indicated they wanted to schedule my pickup for reupholstery. Had my carpet and convertible top replaced, they wrecked my car costing me to buy a new door and tried hiding it from me. The door is not set right, and they refuse to fix it. The door had runs in the paint. Painted over all the chips and scratches without sanding and prepping. Top had troubles and wont work properly, they wont fix it. All carpet was not installed properly and is coming up needs reglued. Scratched up vinyl all over the interior of my car. Would not recommend or ever return to. read more

A year ago, I purchased an $86k Genesis GV-80 Prestige. Of the 27 different cars I have owned, this vehicle had the single most uncomfortable driver's seat ever! After trying to set the massage feature to a neutral position, taking the SUV to the dealer as well as other solutions that didn't work, I finally decided to have Mr. Sid's see if a suitable seat pad could be made to fix the discomfort that is actually caused by an engineering flaw! Fortunately, Evan the owner and Rudy the fabricator were able to fashion the perfect seat pad that completely relieved the pain. What also impressed me was the fact that I was asked to be "fitted" twice before the final vinyl cover was created to make sure the pad fit perfectly ! I've been trying to find an upholstery place for years. I basically gave up. I finally asked my girl Angela at Shortline Mitsubishi and she raves about this man and his work. Well she wasn't lying. Mr. Sid takes a personal interest in you and your requests. He saw I was kind of uncomfortable about the whole deal but he put me at ease. This is a true story about how I was in my car yesterday, admiring my convertible top that still looks AMAZING after over 2 years, and realized I had never written a review. Well...that is fixed now! Had my Nissan 350Z top replaced by Mr Sid and it was a great experience. As I recall he gave me two quotes, one for vinyl and one for fabric (just go fabric, totally worth a little extra $$), and treated my car well. I had a very large floor mat custom made by Mr. Sid and company. Aside from a minor set back with shop equipment breaking, everything came out exactly as I had envisioned it. Aside from my small project, I was allowed to look around the shop. There were a number of 60s classic cars, including an old corvette. He showed me some of the work he was doing on them and all I can say is WOW. These cars interiors looked better than I imagine they looked the day they came out of the factory. They were doing some impressive motorcycle seat work as well. In the event I require additional work in the future, this will be where I'm going. I find Mr Sid to be dishonest. I have used him in the past and was given a quote for a job. I went to pick up the car and it was $75 higher than the quote. I asked why and he stated he forgot to include the glue. The GLUE?? I paid it and thought ok, maybe Ill find someone else. Forward a few years, I call him about putting a vinyl top on my car. I was quoted at $200 and thought ok, not bad great price, I'll do it. He said if I can hold off he will get to me in the near future and I said sure, no problem. About 3 weeks ago, I called to schedule a slot. He said sure and itll be $250.. hmm.. ok I thought, here we go again and told him Ill think about it as it was deja vu again but still a good price. I called 2 weeks later and asked for a day and time to get a top installed. When that was all said and done I thought I better ask again about the price. He said $400! I said why so high?? He stated that vinyl tops are rare and hard to get and that was the reason for the price. Cmon, most everyone in the car business knows B-D has been stocking them for years, still do, and they are readily available most anywhere so it was yet another false statement. He must have gotten busy and didnt need the business anymore. He can run his business however he wants and charge whatever he wants but I wont be one calling for his dishonest ways any more. read more

I took my 2002 Toyota Solara convertible in to repair the top that had come loose below the back window. Within a few days he had it back in mint condition. I liked his work so much I asked him if he could also repair the rear leather seat that got punctured over the years by dog claws. He spent a fair amount of time with me to go through his voluminous samples of colors and seat perforation binders to find the perfect match, which he did. The seat is now as good as new as is the top. I was very pleased with his expert workmanship, fairness, pricing and being a real down-to-earth guy. Mr. SIDS is a great guy but I took my factory center console lid in to get recovered because it was getting old and The leather was starting to crack. I got the console back and it looks very very mediocre and there was extra screws placed in the bottom I'm assuming told the plastic to the lid and extra drill holes in the bottom with nothing in them like they missed what they're trying to hit. I was under the assumption it would look just like factory but now I'm going to take it somewhere else to have it redone and pay again because Mr. SIDS couldn't do it the first time right. And it sucks because I thought I could trust them and have other work done with them but I was wrong. If you want quality and a factory look do not take it to Mr. SIDS read more
