I've had this team come out twice for AC tuneups, never an issue and always professional.

Our warranty company set us up with Mr. Snowman to fix our main downstairs A/C unit and the entire experience with both Mike and his company was awful to say the very least! After 21 days in the heat of the summer with temperatures of 102-107 degrees outside, we were tired of delays and excuses for why it still wasn't fixed and demanded a new company to work with! HONOR AIR came out on the very next day, which was Saturday of Labor Day weekend and vowed not to leave until the A/C was working and blowing cold air! Mike actually left us without verifying the system was cooling and was okay with leaving our family of 5 and 2 pets another 5 days until his Labor Day vacation was over to come back! This has been the worst experience I've ever had. The men showed up to climb on the roof and unfortunately they could not accommodate because their ladder was short. The home warranty company who suggested that they come out specifically told them it was higher than a standard 2 story house. They basically told me "sorry we can't help you and need to cancel this repair" How do you leave someone in a house with this current SA weather? Mr HOT had no problem doing so!!! He said he was going to cancel right away in order for someone else could accommodate. Well, he didn't! I called in the cancellation myself in order to get my original "A" team out there who accommodates my service request ASAP and goes above and beyond to get the job done! I would steer clear of this company. If the job is to hard then they will run ‍‍‍ Will definitely start reading multiple review sites of companies sent by warranty companies before accepting the first one they send! We have used this company twice to service our AC system in the past couple of years and each time they have provided the highest level of service. The first time we required AC service we had actually called another company to come out and they could not fix the issue. We called Mr Snowman and they came out diagnosed and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. We were completely satisfied. On this second call, I called and Michael attempted to provide a solution over the phone - What other company would do that???? AMAZING!!!! He did have to come out and quickly fixed the problem and our AC was back to working in no time. We would happily recommend this company!!!! read more

My home warranty company booked them for two separate work orders. The first one they did not call me for a month so I cancelled the service. The second they did not call me for 5 days so I rescheduled with a different company. The new company has already contacted me and set up my appointment. I do not recommend mr snowman. Edit after response from owner: I even called and left a voice mail stating that I realize y'all are busy and I would just like a time frame when you think you could get out. I have an 18month old and a pregnant wife and needed to make arrangements if it was going to be longer than a few days. It's ok, the company that the work order was assigned to will be out tomorrow, and your company couldn't even call to schedule my appointment with the 5 days you had. The reason i left the review is bc I want everyone that looks your company up to know the lack of response time that you have. I have requested that my warranty company never schedule my work orders with your company again. read more

The service by Elijah was outstanding. They were sent by my home warranty company, OneGuard. I had 2 separate problems. The first problem was misdiagnosed my another company sent by OneGuard and not fixed. Mr. Snowman fixed my second problem promptly and then correctly diagnosed the other problem and fixed it. They responded and communicated in a timely professional manner. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

I have worked with Elijah a few times in the past and today I worked with Michael. Both guys are so incredibly helpful! What I appreciate the most is that even though I am a young and single female who some (like every auto repair shop out there) will try to take advantage of, instead the guys from Mr. Snowman are always honest with me and they do their best to educate me! This enables me to be able to know more so that maybe I can fix small problems on my own! I am very thankful for them and I would recommend them to anyone! read more

My mother always told me that if I didn't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Well I can't stay silent on this. Sorry mom. Michael from Mr. Snowman is horrible. He came to my house for an AC problem, sent by my home warranty. The first time, he show up 45 minutes after the two hour window. He convinced me that the problem actually was with the heat kit in my heating system and some melted wires. He shut everything off and left saying he had to order new parts. A week later, after Michael ignored my text message, I called my home warranty to tell them Michael was MIA. Only then, after the home warranty called him, did he call me and update me. He came back a few days later and allegedly installed the new parts but it did no good. When he left, my house was still hot and the air conditioner--the original problem--was not even fixed. By the way, on this second visit he showed up 30 minutes after the 2 hour window. He does not call to say he is running late. He just wastes your time without a thought or care. The next day, my pest control woman called me to say she noticed my outdoor AC unit was frozen. The bug lady told me I needed freon in it. So even she was able to diagnose the problem that Michael apparently couldn't! I ended up getting a different company to come in and fix the problem. Mr. Snowman needs to get his act together and do better. I gave him one star only because I couldn't give him zero. read more

Mr Snowman is by far the worst contractor I've ever used! I put in a service requst with HB210 because my heating unit sounded like a freight train. From day one when the owner showed up it was a disaster. On the first visit he said the blower motor was out. He was supposed to come back the following afternoon but showed up at 7:20pm saying it was too late and dangerous even though I begged him to fix it because it was so cold. The following day he returned to find out the inducer was was hammered. Finally after 3 weeks he came and put the unit back together. It gets worse..,I called him to return b/c the unit was making a loud screeching sound. He said the furnace was out. I finally got another company, Comfort Tech, came and finished the job. Mr Snowman did not properly install the motor and inducer into the unit. read more

My wife and I moved to San Antonio around a week ago, and Mr. Snowman Air Conditioning & Heating was the contractor for our home warranty claim. While no one wants to learn that the AC system in their newly purchased home needs to be replaced, the service Michael and Elijah provided was stellar, and made the experience so much easier to handle. They were timely, professional, and their rates were verrrryyy reasonable. In 48 hours, we went from having a completely dead AC system to an entirely new, installed AC and Heating system with 10 year equipment and 1 year labor warranties. In addition to the great level of service, they were a pleasure to deal with on a personal level, and answered all of I and my wife's questions with care and respect. I will be recommending them to any and all who need HVAC work in the future. read more

I do not recommend Mr Smowman, their service & repair was totally unacceptable. My home warranty company contracted with them for repair of my A/C unit. For starters, the home warranty company promised a 4 hour window to schedule an appointment. After 7 hours I called and left a voice message. The next day, after two more phone calls, they finally showed up late that day. They replaced the outside unit fan motor with the wiring outside of the casing. The 220 V hot wiring was sticking out @ 3 inches & presented a safety hazard & liability to the elements & other contacts. We eventually paid to have a reputable A/C company replace the motor with proper wiring inside the casing. In our view, Mr Snowman did a quick fix / short cut to save time for the next call. read more

These guys are the best!! My husband was out of town when my AC decided to give out in the middle of July. I have a one year old, so this was a huge issue! Micheal and Elijah were very prompt in returning my call, they worked after hours to make sure that we were serviced that day at no additional charge. We had priced other companies, their rates were about the same but what made me select Mr. Snowman was their knowledge and honesty about their products. Micheal took the time to explain all of our options, making sure to get us the best deal possible. I will recommend these guys to all of my friends and family!! read more
