I used them for annual maintenance for my HVAC for a couple of years and they did a wonderful job. I recently had a shower than needed to have a valve replaced in the shower. Two men came to do the repair; one was the primary and the other was A novice. Originally the primary wanted over $600 to fix the one in MBdrm and the hall bathroom. I ended up paying $351.00 to have the valve replaced in the master bedroom. I realize than was a very poor decision on my part, I should have told them to leave and called another company.. the sad thing is a company works hard to gain trust of Their customers and a bad experience loses them a customer. I was a long time customer of Rosenberg. I was even on their service plan. No more. When a plumber accidentally damaged the line between the compressor and our unit, we lost all the Freon and the AC would no longer cool. We called Rosenberg to repair the line and add the Freon back. We told them exactly what the problem was, and the plumber actually marked the line for Rosenberg. It was under our house (we have an old house), and only 30 inches away from the crawl space door. Rosenberg showed up hours late, and was unprepared to fix the problem. The technician was too big to fit into the crawl space to even look at the problem. By now it was 8pm on a Friday night. The technician called the office to arrange the send someone the next morning. I asked to speak with the manager, but the manager refused to talk to me since it was Friday night and he told the technician he was at HEB, and clearly didn't want to talk to me. The next morning, I called the office. There were no plans to send anyone to my home, but the dispatch lady said she would "email" the team, and call me back shortly. Over an hour went by, no call. I called back, and she apologized and promised to escalate the issue. Two hours later, the same technician called, and said they had other things to do, but Monday they could send someone to look at it, but not guarantee to fix it. In addition, they would charge a minimum of $2500 to put a new coupling on the pipe and add Freon. I asked why they couldn't send someone today? It was now 24 hours after my first call to them. I was a long time customer, on their service plan. Again, the technician said they had other people to take care of, and that someone would call me back. I called another company. They arrived that day, on time. It took the technician less than two hours the fix the problem at half the price. Why wouldn't Rosenberg do the same? By the way, I'm still waiting to hear back from Rosenberg. I guess they are still taking care of other customers. read more

Fantastic! I have never had such an awesome experience with an HVAC company! Juan Rodriguez came to my house at almost 8pm after I came home from work to no AC. Juan was so smart, polite, and nice! When I called Rosenberg to ask for information regarding the work that they did, they refused to talk to me and told me I should contact the previous owner (who, by the way, is deceased). Rosenberg's technicians arrived on-time per schedule and replaced my elderly mother's a/c system in about 6 hours of sweltering 101 degree San Antonio heat and high humidity. My quick look at their work suggests they did a wonderful job. Shortly after the work was completed, the house temperature was already decreasing! And so was the indoor humidity. I have an undermount sink that fell; called Rosenberg Saturday and explained the situation; they said they could repair and it would cost me $150 to get an estimate on Saturday, or I could get a free one Monday; repairman comes Monday over 2 hrs later than I was told, no notification and female phone operator was rude; repairman said we need to call granite co to repair; I said Rosenberg should've told me they couldn't do the job on Saturday; he said he'd give me a price; gave price of $1600; there's no plumbing repair, just reattaching the sink; this price is 8 times the cost I was given by 2 other plumbers; dishonest company and lazy repairman! read more

I have used Rosenberg a few times and have always been pleased with their service. Recently, my newish (installed 2 years ago) AC stopped blowing cold air and I gave them a call. They got a tech out the next day and he saw that the coolant was low. Unusual for a new system to be leaking but mine was installed with a low amount to start. My installer had never filled it and it only had whatever comes already filled with. I had a family acquaintance do the work based on a family recommendation but it was a mistake. I saved a few thousand on the install but have been paying for it now. So the tech filled my system and cold air was back yay! Then a week later no cold air again. WTF. I called Rosenberg again and they came out next day. He told it me it could possibly be a leak but it would have to be pretty large to it all in a week. So he wanted to check the system first. Ended up being a blown capacitor that ran the fans and compressor. Was almost the size of an oil filter! He was able to fix that with a part on his truck. After that he checked the coolant and did see that much more was gone then it should've been since last week. He ended up finding a pinhead size leak on the evaporator coil. Since my system was still newish we could get the part under warranty (yay!) but would still have to labor for install. They scheduled again for following morning to get part and install. The installers arrived on time and got to work right away. While they were changing the coil they found another issue from the initial (cheap) install. They installer had cut a corner and instead of connecting two vents with a 6 inch gap with an elbow or w/e you are supposed to use he used the silver tape and just wrapped it. The Rosenberg guys fixed it for me without charge. Thanks! After they completed the switch they turned the system back on and the air was much colder than it had ever been. I felt a significant difference. 5 star experience. read more

I spoke with the guy on the phone and they sent a guy out there, $89. Then he tells me that it needs a most expensive part to be replaced but because it's under warranty I'd only pay labor for $1500. I called another few other honest guys and they told me by law the installation is still under 1 year everything warranty so I wouldn't have to pay anything. I called the original guy and the issue was only a leak in the lead lines. a small fix, and he took care of it. He also explained how wrong the other diagnosis was. They are good at answering the phone, and billing you. The bad at diagnosing, very inaccurate and they should have informed me my best options. ----------. UPDATED REVIEW -------- Owner called me personally after reading my experience. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a business man that cares. Mike, owned up to the mishaps, and explained that he needed to do a better job keeping his guys educated. In Texas, there are few times that you need AC repair, & that's if you are lucky. Previous years, we had to use specific AC companies, and all of them, were shady. All of the co's had temporary work arounds & that's after they make you wait, until the company had time to deal with you. Never mind the fact, that around here average summer temperatures could easily hit the 100s. Determined to do my homework in finding the ultimate & best AC co. Did not take me long to research which companies had bad feedback or experience. What I found interesting is that all of Rosenberg was 5 stars. Keep in mind folks, good service is not cheap! 1) Coldest day of the year, in the high 20s at night. Furnance not working, no heat. 2) Called Rosenburg. Tech arrived that evening. He quickly diagnosed that the problem was the blower motor. 3) The tech called back in the morning with a price quote of $2,093 for the new blower motor, which includes the installation. It is a remarkable price, in fact more than the price of a new furnace. The furnance is a Goodman AMVC80905CXAB, 8 years old, nothing fancy. 4) Wait, it gets better. Michael Rosenburg called and left a voice mail: they are happy to finance $2,093 for me. 5) I looked up the motor part number and Amazon has it new for $436. 6) Total cost of actual repair: $436 for new motor + 2 hours of tech's time versus $2093 for Rosenburg. 7) Furnace is fixed, great to have a warm house again and it didn't cost $2,093. read more

How can company charge service call since the technician leave the company to the location they fix by hour service ? It is riff off

I called Rosenberg Indoor Comfort so they could service my condenser. My condenser was not working and the fan was not turning. I was advise to have it fixed. And yes it was fixed because a motor run capacitor was replaced with a new one, that this one was the best in the industry. Rosenberg A/C Technician suggested that my condenser needed to be recharged with freon. It was uploaded with one pound of freon. I paid close to $700 for the fix. That happened on a Friday afternoon, by Sunday afternoon my cooling of my house started to feel with humidity. I called Rosenberg about the situation and I was told perhaps it has a leak. Rosenberg called me and he said it needed more freon. I thought about it, and decided not to hire Rosenberg for the freon probably needed about another $400. My unit since 2014 has never had any issues with leaks and it has been working well with cooling. I think very much that Rosenberg messed my system by really not putting any refrigerant probably letting out the refrigerant. Something like this happened with me taking my car to Sears to have a front wheel alignment. When finished, the technician said that my car sprung a leak with my powerbrake hoses. So I called the manager telling him that work was created so that i would need to spend more money. I am not green when coming to know about how A/C works. I used to design central plant components consisting with chillers, pumps, expansion tanks with piping. Air handlers and duct work at the Alamo dome. I am 70 years old and I think Rosenberg took advantage for the fix. read more

I have used Rosenberg Indoor Comfort numerous times and recently decided to go ahead and pay for a customer service agreement because they are so good. I have a historical home, which can mean lots of HVAC issues. These guys truly are on call 24/7, which has saved me multiple times (especially when as a landlord with some renters). They're very honest. Every time I have used them, they discuss cost before they do anything. A few occasions, when it was getting expensive, they have done what they needed to do and then instructed me on ways to finish up the job, making everything extremely affordable. As a home owner, they have really won me over and made me a lifetime customer. I left this review over a year ago and came back to give this place another five star review after a more recent interaction with them. This is the best HVAC place in town. No question. i called at 7:45am on a Mon morning and their office was open! They jumped to action and got a technician to my house by noon, after a weekend in Aug with non-stop triple digit weather, surely the peak of repair season and lots of desperate calls. They found the main problem, a part that had burned out, and went on to check and repair other issues. My home was cool again by 3pm. Another highly ranked company i called didn't answer, returned my call much later in the morning and wasn't available until after 4pm. Several years ago, my parents called a company from the phone book who told them their entire unit needed replacing - they shelled out $10K without researching and did not get a 2nd opinion. Luckily I knew not to go that route. Rosenberg sent two polite and helpful technicians that never once hinted in that direction. In fact they said the unit was excellent just overworked from lack of maintenance, which was very true, even i knew the AC had been neglected. They pointed out if i purchased the bi-annual service plan the discounts would pay for itself. It felt a little like an upsell at first but when they showed me the numbers and with all the work they did, it actually made sense, so in the end, i appreciated being informed of that option. Our upstairs ac unit when out and I called this place because they service my office building. They quoted $3000+ to repair based on the cost of the Freon. I asked for a quote to replace the unit, but he couldn't do it. I guess that wasn't his department so I called a different place the next day and they replaced it for me. I was surprised that this place never called me back to see if there was anything they could do to fix or replace. Thursday, June 29th - My A/C had been on its last legs and finally stopped cooling. Since the system was so old I had already planned on replacing it. Friday, June 30th - I took the day off and made arrangements in the morning with four companies to come that afternoon and provide bids. Rosenberg was my second call but the first to show. One of the appointments never came. That evening I received proposals from Rosenberg and one of the other vendors. Sunday, July 2nd - I submitted questions to Rosenberg and the other company that had sent proposals. Wednesday, July 5th - I finally received the third company's proposal. Rosenberg was not the least expensive option but based on my evaluation I determined it was the best value. Friday, July 7th - Rosenberg called to let me know their crew was on the way. They showed up just before the 9 am appointment time and worked diligently until finished about nine hours later. Both technicians were very professional, competent and thorough. The installation had a few hiccups but the final product looks and works great! Today, July 8th - I am very pleased with the whole process of engaging Rosenberg starting with the first call through the site visit and finally the installation. So disappointed. Our heat would not turn on so we had them come out. We have an older house and an older unit. The young tech said he did not know how to fix the unit and he had to FaceTime his boss. Then he proceeds to attempt to fix it. He leaves and later that day I smell gas. I call them back. They say there is a leak, not related to their work (not true). He shuts off the gas and says we need a new furnace eat 8-9 grand and this one isn't worth fixing. We say no thank you and call the company and ask for a more experienced technician. They send the same guy. I will not let him in the house and explain why. We called another company and they fixed and and several other glaring issues that Rosenberg didn't bother to repair for $250. They did not disclose that if the diagnosis lasted longer than 30 minutes they would charge more. No labor fees disclosed either, even when asked. When tech arrived, was ready to charge over $500. Awful experience. I was ready to sign up for membership and everything, but after this i will no longer consider them for anything or recommend them. My current unit is 20 years old and am looking to replacing. I started calling companies today to have someone come out and give me a quote and explain my options. I called Rosenberg this morning at 9:00 AM. I explained to the lady that answered the phone what I needed. She transferred me to another lady. I explained what I was looking for. Again, transferred because this person told me they were the wrong person. The person she transferred me to could not help and again transferred for the 4th time. This time the phone just rang and rang. I finally just hung up. If they cannot do something so simple to get you the right person, I doubt they know much about a/c's. Less than a year old AC unit they installed fails, and they come out and blow the drain line. They cause a clog that backs up in our laundry room flooding everything, and Rosenberg tells us they wont fix it and to call a plumber. Grrr read more

Had them come out for a regular maintenance call. I was told that one of the units had a leak, which is understandable since the unit is apparently over 12 years old. After the service crew left, nothing but hot air would come out of the unit that had the leak. Ironically, before the crew came to do the work, we had no problems with the unit cooling the floor, but after they left there was no cool air to be had. I wrote an email to some guy named joe merely asking for a refund for the amount that I had prepaid for their next maintenance call in the fall and stated that I did not want to go with their service in the future. This is where the fun begins...The response emails were rude and denied any wrong doing. Mind you, I didn't ask for any of the money back for the service call, but this joe character basically put the blame on me. I ended up speaking to the owner the next day and he apologized for the behavior of the clod who is in charge of customer service. I explained to him what had happened and said I only wanted what I prepaid back which amounted to like $150. He offered to send someone out to check out what could be done, but I didn't want anyone from the company coming here again(for another reason I will state if a response is made to this post) He ended up refunding the total amount of the prior visit as well which in my eyes shows guilt. We ended up going with another company that installed a new unit efficiently and they found the cause of the issue to begin with which had nothing to do with the leaky coil, but something to do with what the guys did with the furnace. I would not recommend this company on the pure principal that their customer service is terrible and they didn't do a good job.
