It has been about 2.5 weeks and our experience has been amazing. Within a couple of hours Will and his team were here and started the mitigation process. They communicate incredibly well. Will is always asking if we have any questions and if he can explain what and why they are doing things. The mitigation team, the packing team, the demolition team always call 30-45 minutes before they show up at the house. They are very polite and respectful. I have not encountered anyone who made me feel like I was not the owner of the house. Communication was over the top and Will always wants me to understand the what and why and what to expect in the future. I especially want to name Will (project manager), Michael (packing and moving team), and Cody who is the head of all these teams. I highly recommend this company! I can only go by our experience with a devastating event. Cody is excellent with dealing with the insurance side of things!

The demolition went fine for a water leak, but the restoration took 6 months rather than 2 to 3. Communication was awful -- the first project manager ghosted us for weeks, and no one at the company even knew he had disappeared. The new PM took another month to "get up to speed" on the project. We didn't get notice when workers would be arriving or what to expect for scheduling in general. There was no foresight about the scope of the project. We were encouraged to order flooring materials that ended up being impossible to use and then were charged a large fee to return them. Then they tore up flooring they were supposed to leave in place, causing another delay. It was a huge relief to finally finish and not to have to deal with their team anymore.

They arrived incredibly fast (within an hour of my 6 a.m. call), set up dehumidifiers, and prevented the situation from becoming much worse--like "loss of structural integrity" worse. On Monday, they followed up, which was a lifesaver because the washing machine had also started leaking after all the laundry I'd used trying to clean up the great flood. That turned out to be another issue entirely, and I was about to be out of town for a while. They scheduled a checkup to address it, and I'm looking forward to their visit on Monday. While the circumstances that led me to rely on DRYmedic weren't ideal, every experience I've had with their team has been exceptional. (When i asked about the thousands of dollars they charged for 'hepa vacuuming', they told me it was to protect the health and safety of their employees when they have the big fans running. Later i learned it's actually the last part of their tidying-up process when they finish a job.) 3) They will ghost you. (When i asked why they had charged me thousands of dollars for equipment well beyond the industry standard, they stopped replying to my emails.) 4) They will trash your home. (After all my walls were ripped out, the workers had trouble finding working outlets for their equpment. One of their workers flipped a bunch of switches in my breaker box, even those clearly labeled 'refrigerator' and 'furnace', and never reset them. Since i was not able to live in my house at the time, it was most of a day later when i discovered that my house and refrigerator had both reached an unpleasant 48F. When asked about it, they tried to blame workers for another company who weren't even in my home that day.) 5) They will provide inaccurate and incomplete invoices. (At first they refused to provide me any invoice, just an email with a dollar amount and an address. When i insisted, they provided various invoice-like documents of varying quality. I have three different invoice amounts for the same job, only one of which aligns with what they billed my insurance company. Heck, one even includes things my insurance company paid for, which seems criminal to me be I'm not a lawyer so that's just an opinion.) I deeply regret letting them bully me into paying them by their arbitrary due date, foolishly thinking that since their own experts admitted the services were unnecessary they would reimburse me. Instead, I've spent months asking for any explanation, and gotten everything from verbal abuse to silence, but nothing like answers.

Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Bridgetown is a superb example of a small local business that is able to thrive while sticking to their core values of top notch service for affordable prices. I shopped around and found their prices to be excellent for the quality of the job they are able to do. Beware - most of those cheapo carpet cleaners you see on craigslist do not use professional grade machines. I learned this the hard way and wasted a bunch of money on cleanning jobs that were sub par. Your carpets will look clean for a week and then all of the stains will come back. This is NOT the case with Bridgetown Cleaning though. I have hired them several times to do the carpets at both my home and office and each time have been happy with the level of customer service I receive and the quality of the job. I have several dogs and after Bridgetown Cleaning comes over, you wouldn't even be able to tell. Thank you Bridgetown for making my house pet odor free! You guys rock! read more

These guys are the real deal. Our "new to us" house came with off white carpet. In our 1st year here, we have added a furnace, updated the kitchen, added insulation and rescued a 10 year old dog with digestive issues. Needless to say, the carpet was a mess. We decided to try cleaning it before replacing it. We are so glad we did. Because of all the pet stains, we asked them for a bid before we scheduled. The carpet was in horrible condition- spills, dirt, who-knows-what left behind by feral, jam-handed children years before... Shane was very up front about what he could and could not remove (such as the red juice or kool-aid or whatever it was the little darlings spilled all over their floor), but he enthusiastically envisioned a vast improvement in look, feel, and air quality and he really delivered. Not only do my 10 year old carpets look brand new, but they also had a lower price than the other companies that I got quotes from. I had received quotes from another company before choosing Bridgetown, the first company informed me that it may not be possible to get out a particular stain that I had. The guy with Bridgetown came in with a lower bid and expressed no concern with the particular stain that the other company couldn't handle. My floors look great!! We needed the carpets cleaned anyway, but I was shocked and amazed Kris got that stain out. He made our old carpets look fresh and clean. (Yes, we'd like to replace them but it's not in the cards for a while.) Kris also has a positive, empathetic attitude, but if you're a work from home, he'll let you be. Finally another value this company provides is that the extraction he does gets the water/cleaning solution back out of the carpet much more thoroughly than other companies we've hired in the past; this means that the carpet dries in a much more reasonable time--within hours to maybe a day. If your HVAC offers a whole house fan on switch, that will speed it up even more.

Chris did a fantastic, thorough cleaning that restored life in the house back to normal. Particularly notable was how Chris walked me through the problem before starting, setting realistic expectations about what he can and cannot accomplish in one single cleaning with a mess like that. Sure enough, about three spots reappeared that resulted from the cleaned but wet carpet wicking up some more dirt from the concrete floor underneath. So Chris made another stop to spot clean those stains, and everything now looks as good as before the back up. Chris is a good man and I enjoyed some friendly conversation with him. He's our new go to carpet cleaner and we will be recommending to neighbors and friends.

I agreed, though this meant another lengthy wait and dealing with pick-up and drop-off again. The second time, the rugs were dry upon return, but still smelled strongly of urine--now mixed with an overpowering fragrance from the cleaning solution that was so intense it caused headaches in my household. I asked to speak with a manager, and Rob informed me they don't offer refunds, but could clean the rugs again. At this point, the rugs had already been gone for over two months, and I had no confidence a third cleaning would fix the issue. I declined and asked again for a refund due to their failure to meet the original guarantee. Rob said he'd look into making an exception and follow up with me. That was over two weeks ago, and I haven't heard back. The rugs have now been in my home for several weeks, and they still smell like urine covered by heavy fragrance. I feel let down not only by the poor results, but also by the lack of follow-through from management. I would not recommend Sweets Chem-Dry if you're looking for reliable odor removal or responsive customer service. They did not meet their guarantee, and their process caused more frustration than resolution.
