Backyard setting with al covered picnic style benches and tables. The owner is super sweet and she's now joined by her daughter. They also have hot dogs on the menu. The only downside to this place is that the hours of operation are inconsistent. The owners said it's because she recently a promotion at her regular job and had to switch up her schedule. So sometimes we drive by when they're supposed to be open ,only to see a lock on the gate. It's a seasonal shop as it is so if closed on a hot summer day it can be a bit disappointing but I get the reason . Overall the season closes just around Thanksgiving. Cash only. If you're lucky to catch them open it's a refreshing flavor filled treat.

Wow !!!! A little oasis in ENY Brooklyn …read more..... Been passing this Hawaiian Shave Ice Stand for the past few weeks finally had to stop today to get some relief form this heat .... Just take a look at this lil Stand, it's so welcoming nicely decorated with beautiful flowers and tropical colors a real Hawaiian theme going on which makes you feel like your on Vacation .... O, did I mention that they have Island music playing steel drums and all that Caribbean music which makes you forget all your worries !!! They provide shaded seating under a gazebo and what I really enjoyed was the water misters to keep you kool while waiting in line ..... Finally it was my turn to be served and this nice lady greeted me with a friendly smile and knew it was my first time here... she was so nice she explained how they make fresh snow as they call it, she actually made me a snow ball in the middle of July ... lol They shave block ice in a machine which turns it into fresh fallen snow ... then their flavor syrups get poured on top and the snow catches all the syrups just like it's gonna catch you !!! Over 100 flavor combinations to choose from & create .... I'm sold and will be back here with my girlfriend tomorrow night !!! Great spot for a lil date night .. Her name was Loreen and she let me sample a few flavors and every one she suggested was off the chain delicious!!! I finally decided to go with a large Hawaiian Sun Set which has guava, mango, pineapple & strawberry ... O and don't forget to add cream it's make the ice more creamy & delish !!! It's worth the .50 cents extra .... After hanging out here eating my ice I noticed that they serve Sabrett all beef hot dogs with all the yum yums !!! Sabrett Onions & Sauerkraut... I had to give them a try ... I went with the special 2 dogs & a soda for $ 5.50 great deal ... The dogs are fresh and had a nice snap when I bit into them... the onion & kraut was on point !!!! Glad I stopped in .... also got to see how the Lil kids really enjoy this shave ice stand .... A great spot to bring the family ... the kids will definitely love this place .... Thanks Loreen for the great service & awesome Shave Ice & delicious hot dogs brought back great memories from when I was a kid ... I will definitely be back & refer all my friends & family as well as my coworkers....

Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. They definitely had more dessert options to offer, but i

The generous serving had creamy, silky layers and was easily enough for the two of us to share. Sweet, light, and refreshing. Plenty of seating, generous portions, and a stop here never disappoints! Located on 32nd St, between Broadway & 5th Ave Train: 34 St-Herald Sq (N/Q/R/W); also an easy walk from Penn Station. Overall, a great casual dessert stop after exploring K-Town, Midtown or nearby Chelsea.

The mango pomelo was beautifully made but flavor wise was a let down. The flavors were not potent and tasted diluted (the ice melted so fast and it fell apart so fast that the iced water probably overdiluted the mango pomelo flavors). I still prefer the kakigoris in japan & the best one I have eaten in NYC is from Tonchin (their kakigoris are amazing and you can taste the fruit flavors and the ice doesn't melt that fast or fall apart). The yuzu matcha lemonade drink was very refreshing & you also taste the yuzu and matcha flavors. This was my favorite item out of the 2. Friendly staff & has indoor seating.

I explained to the cashier that it was my first time here and looking forward to some shaved ice to take out. She recommended the Icy Grass Jelly Signature dish. While the employee was preparing my order, I reminded her "shaved ice, right?" I was extremely disappointed when I got home and tasted it. The shaved ice was virtually non-existent. Looking at the pictures in the menu (see attached photos) of the 2 signature dishes, I think she perhaps gave me the wrong dish. The taste of the grass jelly was totally insipid, utterly tasteless. As I always state, I take no pleasure in giving a neighborhood eatery a poor review, but I did not finish the dessert. However, this assessment is based on one dish. I'm a little wary - uhh, make that very apprehensive - but I may go back, maybe, with my brother and sister and try something else, perhaps a slushie. For now, 2 stars.
