Meet Fresh is a popular chain for Asian desserts and I love it! The inside of this location has an upstairs for more seating, and service is pretty quick. I got the osmanthus shaved ice when I tried it and I loved it. The shaved ice had a fragrant tea scent with a hint of citrus, and lots of red bean, jellies, and mochi. Would love to try their hot desserts and drinks sometime!
We came around 9pm and it was still very crowded. There were kiosk for self-ordering. It took a long time to get our order. We spent about $100 which was very expensive for the items we got IMO. The Mochi texture was too hard for my taste. When tapiocas sit on top of shaved ice, they got hard and chewy. Overall, it's not worth the price.
I always wanted to try this place and I finally got to try their signature icy grass jelly. Their taro paste tested amazing and perfectly matched with the grass jelly and grass jelly shaved ice! The mochi on the shaved ice was so chewy and I loved it. Since the portion is pretty big, I recommend to share it with someone. I also tried their Taro milk tea, which comes with their signature taro paste. The milk tea was around $6 which is a great price compare to the size of the drink! Their milk tea tastes so good and I loved it as well! I will definitely come back to try their shaved ice in summer as well as their hot soup menu on the cold weather.
My wife an I were craving for something sweet and cold, so we decided to look for a place where we can have shaved ice, we found this place which is just a short drive from where we live. The place has a first and second floor, the first floor tables were already filled up so we got a table on the second floor. At the counter on the first floor, my wife and I ordered a "pudding and Q mochi milk shaved ice". It was a humongous serving, and it was a right decision to just share it between us. The place does not just offer shaved ice but they also offer boba drinks, rice soup, almond soup, sago soup, bean soup, soft serve, tofu pudding and a lot more. The shaved ice that we ordered satisfied our cravings and it was delicious. We found out that people/costumers opted a table on the first floor because the stairs to the second floor was steep and difficult to manage specially when you are carrying shaved ice. Price was fair, place was very clean, staff were very accommodating, service was quick and efficient, food that we tried was delicious. So when you are craving for something sweet and cold, this is just the right place for you.
Got there on a Sunday 4 pm. Upstairs was empty with great quiet ambience. Downstairs seating was filling up as I ordered. Customer service was great and friendly overall. One complain is the 'deals' on the app were not valid in store for some reason. The cashier read the deal offer but she said it's not showing that it in her computer. She didn't know why and there's nothing she can do. Food quality was good. We ordered the double scoop signature grass jelly $12.50 + tax = $13.63. It was enough for me and my two kids to share. The staff offered me plastic share bowls without me asking. That's nice.
Love that they opened a Meet Fresh in Bayside! The vibe is true to the name, it's a great place to MEET friends, chill, work, and catch up over FRESH dessert. There is plenty of seating, with an upstairs area as well. I ordered a medium brown sugar boba shaved ice to share with a friend and it was huge! We were upset we didn't get the large for a $1 extra, but the medium was more than enough. There was red bean, boba, custard, and ice cream as toppings. It was very sweet and refreshing. You can choose your sugar levelb I've tried the location in flushing but this one is definitely more spacious and inviting. I would come back snd try other deserts here.

Already on our to "return place" list, . The place has 2 floor dining rooms. We opted to go upstairs to be away from the crowd. Little we know that their stairs are steep. My husband had trouble going up with food tray on his hand. We picked the volcano shaved ice. I am a bit disappointed as the toppings combination for this treats lack sweetness which is good in some ways. The serving size is huge and can be shared. Taiwanese version of Bingsu . Clean dessert spot , good service and great location.
A new Taiwanese dessert shop in Bayside, located on Northern Blvd. A fellow neighborhood foodie brought me here to try the herbal grass jelly shaved ice which is a classic Asian dessert. I was eager to try anything since I've never been here before and the menu did not disappoint! They offer passion fruit desserts, herbal grass jelly shaved ice - drinks - and pudding, sweet almond tofu pudding, tapioca and red bean desserts, as well as black sesame paste. There's just too many to name! They also make snacks like egglettes - comes in classic flavor, chocolate flavor, and other varieties. These are made to order so give yourself some time to wait for it. This visit, I purchased an Herbal Grass Jelly drink with cheese foam. I was able to adjust some of the sugar level and my drink had lots of grass jelly in it. My friend got her Herbal Grass Jelly shaved ice B I believe it was called. It was a huge dessert. Contains red beans, chunks of taro, grass jelly cubes, over a mound of shaved grass jelly flavored shaved ice. That was really delicious. It's not regular ice with liquid flavor - it's actually flavored shaved ice. That makes the dessert a game changer. I hope this place does well and can survive in this neighborhood. I know the dessert menu variety is much more ethnic in flavor and much more authentic than the others in the hood - that's why it's uniquely different. I like it. Hopefully you will too. (By the way, it has two levels of spacious seating. Perfect for hanging out and for enjoying your desserts).
My 4th time here. First time great. 2nd they made my order hot when i ordered cold. 3rd they gave me a totally different dessert. Tonight they gave me a coco sago C bowl that's all liquid. Literally 80% liquid. I mine as well drink it never mind the spoon. I can probably count how much sago is in there.
Another one of my many visits. Found parking right out in front that was the first lovely sign. Got one of the icy taro ball combos and it sure hit the spot as usual. Service staff is always friendly and your orders come out quick. Will be back for many more.
So glad they opened a Meet Fresh in Bayside. My first experience had been in the Flushing location, which was insanely crowded and loud. We always get the large Black Sugar Boba shaved ice with extra sides. It's huge and good for sharing. The Bayside location has a second floor with lots of cute cat decor and plenty of additional seating.
What a gem of a place when you want something different than the usual. Had the almond pudding with mochi and passion fruit sorbet. Great flavor and texture on pudding. Red beans on top. Lighter mochi tasted better to me. Sorbet has nice flavor and textures with the jelly and mochi, etc. Definitely want to come back and try more items. Shaved ice would be great but not in winter for me.
This Meet Fresh location is friendly and very clean (bathroom was spotless!). I have been here twice and have enjoyed my shaved ice dessert. They have seating upstairs as well and it's easy to find street parking nearby.

This place looked promising because it has 2 floors! Looks modern and clean. The pictures look great on the self order kiosk, but a bit pricey. Once I got the desserts, all of them were disappointing in terms of presentation. Taste wise, it was nothing spectacular. I wouldn't make an effort to return. read more

I ordered double taro signature. It's supposed to include 2 taro scoops and 1 scoop of ice cream but only 1 taro and 1 ice cream was served. The restaurant insisted that it is only served with one taro and one ice cream. The menu picture showed 2 taro and 1 ice cream. read more

*** Update again *** I hate to be the one that gives a 1 star to a new store, but the owner seems persistent on the fact that the promotion is "clear." What does a line do to the board, it divides it into 2 sections. The top part; BOGO 50% Off( Wintermelon or Milktea). The other half of the board; 50% Off , Like @meetfreshbayside or Facebook. I'm not trying to be rude, but that does not make any sense and the owner is saying that it's clear that the 50% on the bottom applies to the drinks listed above. ** Updated ** I'm here today on 05/03 and it is quite crowded and they have a lack of items. I understand that the staff is overwhelmed, but I do believe that is due to the false advertising that was posted. It clearly states 50% off and it can be applied today, but when I asked the workers, they said that only applies to the winter melon tea, which is clearly wrong because why would you right buy one get one 50% off for winter melon or milk tea and have a line below that stating 50% off your order if you like them on Facebook. The dessert is great as always, but false advertising is completely wrong and the manager / owner should really correct that because it's confusing and frustrating for your customers. I've been here 4-5x already after it has opened up and I've been waiting to get it for cheaper within the dates listed and it wasn't true??? * First and forth most, this building is aesthetically pleasing. There are many cat decorations for some reason, unsure why, but it's nice. One issue that I had so far was the fact that they have promos prior to it being posted outside of the store. I originally was going to post this the day of just because it was really ridiculous that they'd put a promo up a week in advance which causes so much confusion for customers. I'd say that Bayside was due for a Meet Fresh. It has the perfect type of dessert in my opinion due to the subtle sweetness and not the overuse of sugar. I'm giving it a 3 stars due to the wait time. For a new location, I understand that it takes some time to get adjusted. But the wait time for some desserts are ridiculous even though it's really just putting ingredients together into a bowl. Would definitely recommend coming to try it out, it's a new store so it needs to adjust it's troubles early on. read more

I stopped by this Meet Fresh location with my friends and was blown away on the size and taste of this shaved ice. If I had known sooner, I would have come here over the summer on a hot day. We decided to get the pudding & q mochi shaved ice because it seemed like the best deal with lots of toppings. It was very delicious and refreshing. We loved how the shaved ice was milk-flavored because it brought out a lot more of the flavors with the caramel-like and condensed milk syrups. We ordered at the kiosk and it was really fast. Our order came out within 15 minutes and there is plenty of seating (with a second floor as well). Loved how they had various options for desserts and it was conveniently located near Bell Blvd too. The shaved ice was humongous and the two of us could hardly finished it. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty, definitely much better than the Flushing location (very disappointed the last 3 times). The Q mochi was particularly tasty- very soft Japanese mochi! Taro and peanuts were very satisfying. But the price... it was a bit shocking more than $20 for a shaved ice (hard to justify no matter how great or large portion it is). read more

Came here on a random Saturday with my friends. To my surprise, the store was empty which was kind of nice. I ordered the cold tofu dish with taro balls. When I received it, the bowl looked a little empty, mainly filled with sugar water and two pieces of tofu. We tried the tofu and it tasted a bit funny as well. We asked management for an exchange however the manager was extremely rude. She asked us if we ever had tofu before and that she will try it to make sure it's okay. We even kindly asked for an exchange for the hot version and she said she will microwave our current one. We ended up leaving the bowl on the table and didn't touch it. It was $10. read more

Gets the job done. Taiwanese shaved ice/ Taiwanese dessert chain. Clean space. It seems roomy. Plenty of seating. Glad a Meet Fresh has opened in East Queens. Maybe they can expand to Long Island next? read more
Disappointing store. I called the store and they said they take 2 mins to make my taro ball dish saying they don't take orders over the phone. I ordered over the phone and it took 20 mins. The worker claimed it's because the items were not prepared yet. I only saw one person in the front working when there was a line. The flavor wasn't even good. It just tasted like melted water overall asides from the few taro balls which were okay at best. The price was also near expensive , for two it costed me 27 dollars or so. Flavor 3/10. Service 2/10. Wait time 1/10. Not good. read more

Upon returning to this Meet Fresh less than a month later, I'm extremely disappointed in the service and believe the staff has not been trained properly. We waited over 30 min for a Hot Grass Jelly B and Icy Grass Jelly C only to find that our dishes were missing both Mini Q and boba. We then went back down to try to speak to someone, only to be ignored for another 20 min, after which we gave up. I noticed a blatant lack of organization, from the growing pile of unwashed dishes to the staff misplacing orders and giving the incorrect change to customers. The furniture and tables are still clean, but with this service mishap, I would not bother coming during mealtimes. Update: The management reached out to me about my bad experience and offered a complimentary dessert to make up for the mishap. I went in and redeemed the gift without any hiccups; the service was good and the employee was very helpful. Still would be hesitant to go during a dinner time rush, but I'm glad they care about making things right for the customers. read more

This was a very disappointing experience. Egg waffle deluxe had a pathetic miniature scoop (a size of an infant's fist) of ice cream and the place was just a mess. Tables were not cleaned and the garbage area is disgusting. No one's cleaned it probably the whole day read more

Never had desserts like this before but i gave it a try and wow so good! Im addicted. The portions for the bowls are huge! You definitely need to share. You order on a kiosk so no need to interact with staff. The cafe is cute with funny cat pics and has an upstairs area too. read more

No complaint to service, but the price is not on par with what u got I paid $13 for this customized icy grass jelly, half of the bottom is all shaved ice.... And I paid $3 for topping and got 8 small rice ball with 2 pieces of mochi. Wow, this is not worth the price tag read more

I got a coco sago series custom qnd a hot tofu pudding with pataro and it was a RIPP OFF. The coco sago did not come as expected, it was maybe 5-10% sago and 90-95% coconut milk nothing like pictured. For $10 I expected more than just drinking coconut milk.. The custom option was also a rip off, $1.25 for just TWO Q-mochi? The tofu pudding was also only half the bowl with more liquid than the tofu pudding itself, after mixing the pudding was basically floating in pieces because the ratio of sugar water was so much. This place was just so cheap on their ingredients as a new grand opening location they should impress their customers for return visits.. definitely won't be returning. There are other Meetfresh locations that aren't stingy with their portions and give you what you pay for. This visit was such a disappointment read more
