This really should be 0. I made an appointment online only to have to pushed back and hour later. I get there and basically within 30mins I was told that a nail was in the tire...I mean basically that's why I made an appointment, for tire repair. He then stated to me that he can't fix the tire for some odd reason, didn't offer to repair the tire or do it say anything else but say there isn't anything he can do today. This is a 3.5 star experience. Normally I'd round down but... Their website has lots of great coupons (http://www.mrtire.com/promotions-coupons?storeid=727) and I was able to get my flat tire fixed for FREE using the coupon for a free flat tire patch. I asked the gentleman when I picked up my car and he said "the coupon says 'free' doesn't it?" So yeah, use that coupon section of the website! He explained that he hoped I would come back for other (i.e. not free) maintenance and repairs in the future. My flat tire was patched and is so far working great! Now, I had called them to make an appointment and they told me I could use the night time key drop off. The box with envelopes is clearly marked and easy to find, but you know what's *not* easy to find? The actual slot to put said envelope (the one with the key to your car that you're leaving) after you've filled out your relevant information. After having my wife verify that I wasn't crazy, we decided to come back early the next morning. The man who met us said "oh yeah, there's a little tube under the garage door." That needs to be better labeled otherwise what's the point? This place was good and they are close to my home, so I just might be back in the future. read more

The level of customer service is greatly lacking in my situation, that is prompting me to communicate to you today. I had my car towed to the Mr Tire at 5545 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville MD 21228, and arrived at 4pm on Saturday 10/14/23. I selected a tire and was having lunch waiting for them to finish, I was told it would be an hour and a half. While having lunch, I decided to call them to make sure I told them about the flat tire in the bed of my truck. Upon connecting the service person told me that the Tech had a family emergency, and they could not complete my car today. I said to the service person, I was just calling you to remind you of the flat tire in the bed of my truck. She said yes and moved on to tell me it was not going to be fixed until Monday as they are closed on Sunday. At this point I am already an hour late for work. I asked if there was another tech who could do the work. The service person told me she already checked and no. So now not only do I not get my truck back to go to work, I am now forced to pay for other means. There was no offer to help, tow to another store or acknowledgement of the inconvenience and expense this is now costing me to find alternate transportation until Monday. Monday comes and I am expecting a call from Mr. Tire, I also need to let an Area or District manager know of what I am going through. I call the other Mr Tire in catonsville to try and find a contact and was told that the Manager is new, they don't have his phone number, they can only e-mail and hope he contacts them. Not confident with this answer but I let it go. I wait and hour, when I did not hear back I called again. The gentleman I spoke to told me that he would see what he could do about finding them and he would call me back. Again, not confident in this answer. I wait again for an hour and a half. I call the store in Ellicott City, I spoke to Marissa, told her my story and she offered to contact the Mr Tire where my Truck is, to try and help. I assume she calls because I get a call from the Mr Tire who has my truck and they tell me its ready and I can come pick it up. Again, no acknowledgement or apology from the service person. I call Marissa back and thanked her for her help but I really needed to speak to some type of distric manager who can assist. She gave me the customer service number to which I called. Cant remember the agent I spoke to but she was very nice. She told me she would have the Area Manager(forgot the tittle) called Armondo get in contact with me or someone on his staff. As of this notice I still have not heard from them. After picking up my truck I went back to my apartment to get my bags for work. When I came back out to the truck, I looked in the bed out of curiosity. Sure enough, the flat tire I told them about is still in the bed. They replaced the original flat and replaced a tire that had nothing wrong with it but some wear. Tuesday morning I call customer service. Asked the woman if they documented phone calls, she said they do and proceeded to tell me what was documented. I asked her to escalate this to her manager. SH told me she could and put me on hold. After a couple of minutes I get transferred to what I assume is the managers voice mail. I leave a message, hang up and call back. This time the agent got me a Manager Mackenzie. AT first Mackenzie offered me a refund so that I can now buy the new tire again for the other one. I asked instead of going through all that I f I could get my tire replaced and just go to the store. Mackenzie thought I didn't want to go back which was why he was offering. I said no I'll go back, I was very cordial in dealing with them. Even at the point where they did not call or communicate next steps to me the day they told me my truck should be ready. I thank Mackenzie and then call the Mr tire to make an appointment for Saturday at 8:10am. The service person I spoke to (same one mind you, same lack of customer service focus) told me that I didn't tell her about the tire in the bed and I corrected her and told her I thought I had told you initially but also told you when I called you back that Saturday. I then proceeded to tell her just schedule me for Saturday with your earliest appointment. Multiple failures, multiple errors not to mention the expense put out to get back and forth to work. read more

My experience with this particular location was nothing but great! The manager Gary was so kind when i had gotten tires from Amazon installed. Unfortunately I returned the tires to Amazon because they weren't what I expected. I ordered another set & returned to have them installed. Customer service was outstanding. So, I moved to the area a little over a year ago so i had visited a few mechanics for oil changes and what not to get a feel of where I felt the most helped and welcomed. I settled on this place! There was an older black man who was always at the desk and then a few months later, Eric and Gerry were the 2 main men. Now, this review is based off of my last visit and a visit I had almost 2 or 3 months prior. I called this past Saturday around 8am to see if i could come in for an appointment. Eric answered the phone and i almost decided to not come in. An oil change or 2 before this one, I found Eric's customer service to be unprofessional and and I found no difference this time. After an oil change and him telling me of the $2000 recommendations needed, it almost seemed as tho he was trying to pressure me to get the work done same day (mind you again it was a Sat. At 8am with me having a whole weekend planned). I'm not a loud or argumentive person so i said i would check my budget and schedule another day to get the most important work done (i travel a lot for work). Then he said "yeah cuz ur on a budget". I felt it was so derogatory. I followed up with , you're making this akward. There was maybe 2 other customers waiting behind and beside me at this time. Perhaps ALL of his other customers just walk in with $2K and endless time and other cars on their hands.. but not me. Mortgage, student loans, full time traveling job etc. The other guy, Gerry is cool and so are the actual mechanics. The mechanics always seemed very helpful and thorough when doing work and inspecting my car. It's literally Erics attitude that makes me not want to go back there. Also, all of those 5 stars on google review is from a forced response from Erik. When i came in earlier this year, at the counter before i left with my car i was urged to give a 5 star rating and HE even pushed the submit button. I deleted my review some time later as it wasn't a true review of my own. I only want to review with facts and information that i post for myself. I would still recommend people to come here, just be aware of his tone (if you get one). I still want the work done, but will come back when he's just not there. read more

Erik and Will from Mr. Tire hooked me up after getting stranded with a huge metal shard in my right rear side wall after a cross country drive. Erik went out of his way and drove across town to set me up with the specific sport tires that my limited edition car needed. Will showed me the RIGHT way to prep and mount my rear tires, definitely no de-beading for sure!! Went in to get tires with an online discount for 4 new tires at a cost of $193.00 for the tires alone. The ad on the Mr Tire site clearly states that what distinguishes Mr Tire from other spots is ALL tire purchases come with Free Mounting Free Balancing Free Lifetime Rotation Free Alignment check Free TPMS Check Yet I was quoted an additional $400+ dollars in addition to the top of the 193 for the tires. $47+ for each TPMS device which when I questioned it he later said is recommended for each tire, $119 for installation of the tires, and more money to cover balancing, stems, govt fees, and taxes. He said he will not know until he looked at the car if an alignment was needed. Yet without actually checking my car he inflated the price to well over $600 for tires on my little Nissan Versa He originally indicated it would be 600+ for my tires and installation then dropped it down to $500+ because of some mysterious discounts he forgot and I read to him that installation cost is free, which he had at $119. He tore up the estimate and trashed it when I said refused to pay the inflated pricing. He kept trying to make me think mounting and balancing was separate from installation.m and it's no way he could do it without charging the extra $119. I googled mounting vs installation of a tire while I stood there at the counter i understand about the little small fees that go along with getting new tires so I figured it would cost about $250-$270 including the discounted tires but he started at something like $656 without even working on the car. I refused to pay a PINK tax. So I took my business elsewhere. read more

Erik sure has a great reputation and there is a reason why! He takes great care of his customers and goes well above and beyond. I came in early on a Sunday when I had gotten two flats tires the night before. I called ahead of time to see if they had new tires since I was due for a replacement and he told me to come on in. First thing I will say is that sundays are busy, but I was SO happy that they could take me. Erik greeted me and his desk, explained tires options and pointed me to the seating area that was nicely set up with a tv. People came in and out of here, Erik was happy, busy and didn't even eat his breakfast but was happy to serve. While I waited for my car to be fixed he would check in periodically to see how everyone was doing and ask if he do anything, I don't even get this good of service when I'm sitting down in a restaurant. Anyway, I was extremely happy with my service and Erik being the team leader and transparent with all of the charges and keeping me updated with a time frame. The only bad part about this place is that Erik is SO good, they need more mechanics to keep up with him. We went in to have 2 rotors resurface. They had no real price for this. We were discouraged to do this. The Service writer went through a stack of invoices to get a price. This price was for removal and replace. Our Rotors were already off. They wanted to charge us $40 Per rotor. This is the cost of a brand new rotor. No Thanks. read more

Had a great experience here with Dennis and his mechanics. My brake lines corroded out and I needed a local option to get my truck too (couldn't drive to my dealer with limited brakes). Dennis was extremely nice and helpful. After waiting about 20 minutes, he brought me into the shop to show me exactly where the issues were and other possible issues that could arise. Went over the estimate line by line with me, and corrected some cost errors on it as we going over it. Later in the afternoon he texted me a picture of another obvious issue major with my brake pads and rotors. He followed that up with a quick call to review the problems with me further. Needless to say, my truck was fixed and back on the road soon after. All of this before my dealer even returned my initial call to them in the morning. I had my usual oil change at Mr Tire @Catonsville, but today I received exceptional service! As I pulled up and step out of my car I was greeted by a nice gentleman. He introduced himself as Erik and he already knew my name as he was expecting me. He went on to check my tires as well as to get my mileage. We both walked in together and he printed the paper work and I signed. He also offered a Mr Tire card that will save me money. Later I was told about the problems that was going on with my car. My service here was pretty great. The both staff were really nice. I came in sometime after 6 when they close at 7 which I know can be time consuming for them and keep them well after they are scheduled to be there. I had a flat from hitting the curb so I needed to find a place to help me and they provided quick and friendly service and even offered the fresh coffee they had just made. Everything you want from a mechanic: honest, excellent work, great prices, very knowledgeable! On top of all that they are friendly! I needed LOTS of work done on my car but did not have the money. They worked with me to get it down to what I could afford. They even told me the work that I could wait on. the best mr tire ever. after my unleasant experience at the other mr tire further down route forty next to double t diner my lifesavers,garry and kenny. i must emphasize kenny. not only does he have the best customer service skills he understands!!! i believe he was the manager because when i spoken to them on the phone and the original guy garry gives the phone to kenny after explaining my situation he tells me to come on down even though they were short staffed and busy as well. i get there and they proceed to be speedy and professional and courteous while processing the paperwork and after that they were very caring and understanding. people this is the epitomy of customer service making the customer feel important and being understanding of their situation etc. those two gentlemen have forever gotten my business from now on after their helpfulness. special shout out to kenny for your help, i recommend immensely everyone go to this mr tire and talk to garry or kenny those two will help you abd your needs. read more
