This shop/store is SO disorganized and unprofessional. The manager didn't know what was going on and they are SO SLOW doing a oil/filter change(it took them 2 hours to do it and they still screwed it up by not tightening up the oil pan plug). I took my car to be looked at Mr.Tire a month and a half ago for a vibration in the middle of my car. The guy told me it was the front wheel bearings. Had them replaced and went on my way only to find the vibrations were still there. I was treated horrible even getting into an argument with one of the guys because he told me "there is no vibration because we fixed it" I had to have another mechanic (the 3rd one) drive my car to see what I was talking about. Thankfully he saw what I was talking about. He told me to contact the GM Dan. He told me to take it to the other location and he gave me the wheel bearings for free. I took it to the other location. It was diagnosed wrong again! I got a drive shaft. (That i didn't need) Get in my car its still vibrating. It was the cv axle. (My ex husband told them) But since I got wheel bearings AND a drive shaf(that I didn't need) I would have to pay for them to fix the real problem. Dan stated they did enough for me refund, free wheel bearings, free drive shaft. I have to pay them for anymore work to be done. Even though they never fixed the original problem. How am I supposed to trust them in saying the cv shaft is bad?? And why would I have them do more work when they didn't know what was wrong with it to begin with DO NOT GO HERE read more

Word to the wise, Mr Tire is owned by Monroe. No return policy per customer service. Bought 4 tires that were bad, after 7 visits to get it resolved. I needed to buy 4 new tires. Suggestion buy tires from a shop that has a warranty / return policy. Tim and Mike were very nice, but in the end I got stuck with 400 dollars of worthless tires. read more

Made appt for 9 am help showed up late about 10:30 before they started working my alignment 20 minutes later it was done at a cost of around 150.00. Start to to drive the truck and the tires started squealing every time I turn the steering wheel left or right went back to the store the next day and they didn't have time to fix it or wouldn't fix called main office for a refund and I am still waiting for a full refund after 2 months later. I wouldn't recommend this shop for anything keep driving bye you won't regret finding another shop. read more

On our way back from Niagara Falls, we picked up a nail on the highway causing a slow leak. Luckily, we were able to lumber into Cortland and came across this Mr. Tire. Although they were about to close, they fixed our tire within 20 minutes and we went in our way. And for the most reasonable price ever for fixing a flat. We were very grateful for their service. This place is not to be believed! I have had my car there countless times to fix a check engine issue. I bring my car in and supposedly they fix the problem then the next time I start the car, the light is on again. I have spent over $1000 and it's still not right. When I talked to them this morning it was more excuses and they acted like I was being difficult to the point I yelled at the person I was speaking to. DO NOT trust these people with your auto repair needs, I have to make them make things right. and it is like going to war! Nobody should be treated like this. My advice, spend a little more and go to a auto service business that will do the job right the first time. read more

Brought my car to this shop to have the a/c fixed. My husband and I we were under the impression the a/c compressor was the problem based on evaluation from a shop elsewhere and already had the part. Dropped it off and they replaced the a/c compressor, then called to say it was defective so we would need a different compressor. Shelled out $300 and dropped off a brand new compressor which they installed. They returned the car... only for the a/c to stop working the next day. Brought the car back and they admitted they installed the compressor without actually checking if the system was creating cold air, so the problem was likely something else. Seems counter intuitive if you're trying to fix the air conditioning to not actually check if its putting out cold air but alright. They offered to do a diagnostic the following day if we dropped it off and said it would take around an hour. Showed up at the shop first thing the next day where only one employee was working. I waited 10 minutes at the counter without being greeted until finally I called the shop from inside the building. The lobby was full of maybe 100 flies and - surprise - the employee told me that I wouldn't be able to get my car back same day even though it was 9:45 AM. On a diagnostic? Really? I took my keys back and went straight to the Mr. Tire across town. Worse than the shotty mechanic work is the fact that at one point an employee actually looked at my last name on the computer (my last name is vaguely ethnic) and said, "I'm not even going to try to say this". Can't help but wonder if that had something to do with mine and my husband's treatment. 10/10 would not recommend. read more

These folks do not pay their bills They owe us for a used part that we shipped to them to save them a drive. Despite faxing invoice to them several times and calling numerous times with always the reply "We will send a check out tomorrow". This less than $100 part was billed to them in July 2018 and it's now April 2019 and they still haven't paid a stinking dime on it! Unreal!!! read more

On 10/29/21 I went to a local Mr. Tire in Cortland, NY to have 4 winter tires put on. I bought them from an outside company like I do every year, and chose Mr. Tire to have them put on. I was charged $20 per tire (plus tax) for the tire installation. I left, and 15 miles after driving at a very busy road at 55 mph, my front tire went flat. I had to pull over to the nearest safe location. Had to have my donut put on. At this point, the shop was closed. I called the next morning and spoke to Jeff. He said to bring the tire in and they will see what they can do. I brought the tire in Monday morning (11/1/21) because I live 35 miles from the shop and didn't want to drive with my donut on unless absolutely necessary. There was NO EVIDENCE of me running over anything. If I did, there would still have been something in the tire. Jeff told me on the phone AND to my face when I dropped the tire off that if they could not fix it, they would replace my tire. I waited and waited for a call. Finally called around 2:30 and Jeff said they were trying to find a match because they could not fix the tire. And call back around 4:30. I called at 4:30, and Mike answered. He said they cannot replace my tire because I didn't buy it from them, and Jeff had no authority to tell me they would. They also said they did nothing wrong with putting the tire on, and there obviously was a leak somewhere, yet they could not find it!!!???!!! I then asked for at least my $20 back since I paid for installation of 4 tires and I only have 3. And he refused to give a refund. He said that they did the service. And was not their fault the tire went flat. So I was mis lead, lied to, and being told they did nothing wrong! I left with my torn up tire and a very unpleasant upset attitude. I called the co I bought the tire from, and thankfully they are sending me a new tire. No questions asked! I will have to pay another $20 somewhere to have another tire put on my car. But I will NOT be going to a Mr. Tire again. read more

Smitty(mgr) said the price went up...maybe you should have told me that when you gave me the quote. I've used this location of Mr tire a couple different times before....always in the company of my husband. I recently called and made an appointment to have power window regulators installed on my truck. I was told sure sure no problem. I informed the gentleman that I had already purchased the parts needed to fix the problem. Upon my arrival the man behind the counter rudely informed me that this was a 4 hour job....unfortunately for him I'm not an uninformed woman.....(I come from a family of auto mechanics) I said I've seen these done in parking lots in under an hour. He proceeded to inform me that it was a very complicated job and would take 4 hours. This man made me feel like I was stupid because I'm female and 2 taken advantage of because I'm female. The job took 2 hours and cost me over $200. He informed me that I didn't need to pay for the extra hours...I few days later I received an online survey which I filled out negatively. I received an email with a phone number for a customer service person who claimed they wanted to discuss it with me. I called that day and left a message with my phone number and haven't heard a word back since. Clearly they dont really care about your experience. My advice is if your not a guy dont go thier. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Also they never told me what thier hourly rate is. read more

It takes great talent to give me back a car that drives worse than when I brought it in. I brought my car in for a 10:30 appt and came back at 1:30 and they hadn't even moved my car from where I parked it. I took it in for four new tires an alignment and an inspection...walked out with four new tires only the front end aligned and no inspection...it took them a total of 5 hours and my car is worse than it was when I dropped it off. They aren't very motivated and do not know how to get to your car quickly...seemed my car came out with more problems than it came in with considering the last person to work on it said everything was fine, but you would need an alignment and new tires. 100% would not recommend to anyone who likes there car. read more

VERY VERY disappointed by the service that my husband received!!! To start my day, I was taking my deaf PREGNANT daughter to DMV on Saturday in Endicott. I got as far as Virgil when I car overheated (first time in four years) and immediately pulled over, called AAA and CNY Towing arrived within 1/2 hour. Thinking this was going to be a simple thermostat replaced, I had the driver take us home. Hubbie got underneath and removed the first two screws and both broke off.....PLAN B, CNY TOWING had a HUGE job out of town and couldn't get back to us, so we called Stupke towing - 1/2 hour was an hour BUT charged us $60 to take the car and my husband to Mr. Tire. Hubbie had called Monroe Muffler (done business with them for years and very pleased) They were busy and told him that is was an easy job and to call their sister company; Mr. Tire and when he did, I guy said BRING IT AND WE"LL GET IT TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY. Hubbie: what are you thinking it will cost? Mr. Tire: CAN NOT GIVE YOU THAT INFO WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT..... (WARNING!!!!!!!) . Ok, this all started at 10 am.... my husband got home at """"4pm"""""!!!!!!! During this time, my husband repeated to these guys that Monroe Muffler said this was an easy job.... He was told by them "if it's such an easy job - WHY DID THEY SEND YOU TO US LOLOLOLOL....To take out the broken screws, replace the thermostat - HE WAS CHARGED $215~~~~!!!!!!!! and wasted a whole day waiting....OH and frosting on the cake - was told that because I ran my Subaru HOT for so long, I warped the head. DO NOT GO THERE!!! Ps - nothing wrong the the head - had it checked by another mechanic!!!! read more
