UPDATE, 2 days later: Mavis/Cole contacted me based on this review, and my husband was separately contacted after giving severe feedback in the customer satisfaction survey he got after this service. Mavis/Cole has reimbursed us for the full cost of the PSF replacement. The store and regional manager apologized for this happening and agreed it should not have been done. (I pointed out that I have a Mavis/Cole receipt from a couple years ago showing that they recommended changing the PSF just 6,000 miles after it had been done at the dealership, when obviously it was not needed--so I think this is an ongoing issue. I called, and they said it was impossible the two could be related, and did not offer to cure it. They told me to tow it back, on my dime, to sell me a repair or replacement. I later called again and explained that I took it elsewhere where they told me that the valve stem had been damaged. He asked "why did you take it somewhere else?" then "have a good day sir" and hung up on me. This issue required me to walk one mile to my home late at night in February, another mile up hill the following day, cost for tow, and the cost for an extra repair. Bruce's Pit Stop told me that topping fluids is not included in an oil change, which is unheard of. Terrible shop.

My son called me and I told him to tell them not to do anything. When my son came home I inspected the wheel and found that the outer covering on the lug nut had come off. However, there was enough of the nut there that I put a lug wrench on the nut and removed it. Then installed a new lug nut!!!!!! I don't know if this auto center has TOATALLY inexperienced and inept mechanics, or they are dishonest and trying to pad the bill with repairs that are not necessary. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! After diagnosing the car, they told me both rear EPB actuators and calipers needed to be replaced. I approved the repair and paid $1,124. They later called and said the car was fully fixed and ready for pickup. However, when I arrived, the brake warning light was still on and the EPB was still not functioning properly. I immediately informed them. The next day, they re-examined the vehicle and told me the parking brake control module had lost communication and that they could not fix the issue. They referred me to a Mazda dealership for further repairs. In other words, after charging me over $1,100, the original problem remained unresolved. When the vehicle was returned to me, the brake fluid reservoir cap was missing. The reservoir had been temporarily covered with plastic, and I had to return the following day to obtain a replacement cap. This raised serious concerns about the level of care taken during the repair. I spoke directly with the owner, William Chen, who has been very unprofessional and dishonest throughout the process, about my concerns. During our phone conversation, I explained that I was disappointed and did not want to keep parts that did not resolve the issue. He initially stated that he could return the aftermarket parts (though not the OEM actuators). However, after speaking with someone else at the shop, he changed his position and said he would not return the parts or issue a refund. Overall, I paid for a repair that did not fix the problem and was then told to take the car elsewhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

Jim was the best. But now horrible service. Lets see I took it in for an inspection and a check engine light on, and I left with what I thought might be good service repair....nope! I was charged for a battery I didn't ask for ( $300), and they weren't even respectful enough to put the terminal cover back on it the shroud that covers my motor was just thrown in the back of my vehicle along with the skid cover that goes on the under carriage. then I looked under the hood and also noticed my nice air filter cover was nowhere to be found. And the check engine light was never even fixed, so now I have to pay someone else to fix that. And last of the bigger idiotic crap was they took a half a full tank of gas. So all of this BS cost me 2000 dollars to boot. I would NOT recommend this place to a room full of criminals!! They suck. Worst service ever in my entire life. They should be ashamed of themselves.
