they changed my brake pads and rotors for 480 dollars which is expensive mind you they never told me how much it would've been. when they gave my truck back i felt it off and what happen was that when i would turn the steering wheel all the way the truck would start hopping cause the front brakes were not install properly then i went and told them what happen and they try to tell me i had to spend 1k+ for new calipers but i redo my brake pads and rotor and now it works perfectly definitely do not recommend this place at all. read more

Daughter was driving home On a Sunday from college in NC heading to Alabama. Her Check engine light came on. She first went to firestone who said she needed a new engine and then drove it and left it at Mr. tire for them to check the next morning. Mr. tire did an evaluation and determined it was a radiator issue. They fixed her up and got her back on the road. We are very pleased with their service, responsiveness, and work. read more

Offhandedly I said " hey look at my tires what do you think"? They came out and said "you need tires. I already knew this because my tires are as smooth as a babies butt and have been reprimanded by every man who sees them. I asked for a price and he said &349. I said "per tire" horrified! He said "no, that's for all 4 with an alignment." I said "SOLD"! And here I am. The guys are helpful, funny, friendly and efficient AND when I checked in on yelp, I got a coupon for $20.! As a follow business owner locally to Gastonia NC who is also in the automotive industry, I feel absolutely discussed. My primary line of business is Medium and heavy duty vehicles and fleet repairs. family visiting from out of state had an issue with TPMS sensor in a 2009 honda civic ex sedan. I have scan tool and TPMS scan tool as well as i checked all sensors it had one bad sensor on right rear wheel. dropped vehicle off at Mr. tire this morning at 735am received a phone called about 45 mins later saying it had two bad sensors. i authorized the work, never given a quote or idea of pricing, call me again to let me know vehicle was done. sent my wife and family member to pick up vehicle, 1.7 miles away from our home. 291.45 was my total. 99.99 for each tpms sensor, 32.50 for labor for each wheel replaced. 26.47 in shop supplies. no sales tax as I'm set up as a resale and this was dropped off by me and placed under my business account. the most expensive tpms sensors from HONDA do no cost 99.99 each on the retail side. car had aluminum valve stems in it now replaced with rubber valve stems. the cheapest aftermarket type valve stems and sensors available. after researching and calling some of my parts vendors (also local) Oreillys and Advanced Auto to be specific they laughed at these numbers on the retail side of parts. My invoice also states in bold print "customer wishes to discard old parts" yet again never given an option or choice for my old parts. MY biggest issue is any decent tire shop or company should or at least recommend having the wheels balanced after removing tires from the wheels to install new TPMS sensors, instead they used yellow marker to mark where tire was positioned previously and reinstalled without balance. old wheel weights still on both rear rims and now have a lovely yellow V on the side wall over valve stem. If this is how they treat another business in the business i could only imagine what they do and don't do to folks that trust this location and company that have not the slightest idea of standard good practice and proper procedures in properly maintaining vehicles. This was family members vehicle, and if by chance it was a customer's vehicle I couldn't even think of presenting a bill for this robbery of over double the cost of each sensor. Greatly Appreciate the dishonest terribly overpriced service today, I will no longer be doing business with this company, and I'm eating this entire bill as I can't charge my family these ridicules prices of 99.99 a sensor when anywhere you can get them for 37-dollars a sensor, retail. I understand as a fellow business owner we are here to make money but seriously feel like I was robbed by somewhere I trusted to do right by me. Me and my family have been a loyal customer here for years and I have NEVER EVER had a BAD service until today. The lady who "helped" me was on the phone talking/ laughing was definitely a personal call the whole time I was there didn't even get off when I got there to talk to me. I asked her how much my service was going to be and she like "I don't know" and continues to talk on the phone I was there for almost 40 min and when it's finally done I kept asking her questions that she didn't know again. DO BETTER. Hire someone that's know what they are talking about and have a better customer service. I kept my calm and I was respectful but the anger inside me omg. I asked her if y'all are partnered with Valvoline and she said no bc I wanted to use a coupon for $10 and Y'all have a sign the says valvoline instant oil change so I don't understand why and I told her and then she said she took the coupon and didn't even scan anything I don't even know what the original price was because again she didn't know. read more

Let them do an oil change, they told me I had a puncture in my tire and tried to sell me a new tire. I declined and took my car to a used tire shop the next day (no tires lost air overnight). The used tire place couldn't find a puncture, which explained why none of my tires were low on air and why I haven't been able to locate the leak yet. Guy at the used place said it didn't look like they rotated the tires either, so how did they find the puncture in a tire if they weren't doing a tire rotation? This place was good as Clark Tire but now they're way overpriced (oil change was way too much) and they lie to sell tires. STAY AWAY! There are many better options out there! read more

Second time in 4 months they have called and said car was ready and both times when i picked up the car to drive it home it pulled so hard to the right I had to drive back and spend hours waiting for them to fix it. I understand that cars drive different when tires are rotated but not pulling so hard to the right that you have to fight the wheel, especially when they charged me for balancing (explanation the first time was that they were busy and just forgot, second time blamed it on the tire rotation and bekt shufting and a bunch of other technical "might bes"). I had gotten a credit card with "Mr Tire" for discounts but clearly its not worth all the wasted time and trouble. This place has really gone down hill since the change in ownership. read more

My fiancée called this morning to make an appoint for the next day to have vehicle brakes looked at. Employee on phone advised that she could bring the vehicle in but it was doubtful that it would be fixed before next week. The employee seemed as if the call bothered him and he was a real ass. No worries on any Mr. Tire getting any more of our business and we use another location several times per year for oil changes, tires and other maintenance. That location in Kings Mountain never even followed through on our online appointment. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I bought a new set of 4 Hankook tires on Thursday. The price was fine and the service was good, but by Saturday I was already seeing the dreaded low tire pressure warning light. After checking and verifying the tire pressure was fine on all new tires I returned the vehicle to Clark Tire and they took it into a bay for a look right away. Their finding was a bad TPMS sensor on the right front tire. So, obviously the unit was damaged during installation, right? Nope. "It could just as easily have been a bump in the road or a dead battery in the unit. Just a coincidence". Unlikely. The best they could do was to knock $20 of the price, resulting in another $75 charge TWO DAYS after buying new tires from them. Good to know, folks. If you don't want to own your mistakes, I'll just go to Sam's club next time. read more

Terrible customer service, especially after you pay them and they realize they gave you a bad diagnose! For $109.99hr labor rate plus all the money they make of the parts they get at wholesale price, youre better off going to franchise dealer service. You leave your car to be checked for one thing, and they fix everything else but the main issue why you brought your car to them, all they say is " well your did need those parts" If you need good cheap tires go to Tire Country, just a few minutes away!
