I have received the best service ever and it is all because of the outstanding manager, Bartlett Dehaven. His customer service skills are exemplary. He is very knowledgeable, skilled and efficient too. But,also truly CARES and exhibits honesty and kindness that should be commended. I went to Mr. Tire Auto Service Center #1006 at 871 Route 33, Hamilton, New Jersey on January 14th, 2026. I went for an oil change according to mileage requirements. The front desk employee told me after some time that I needed to change some part also. At the time of the repair, the workers broke the toll shock power bolt and didn't own up to it until I noticed it. This was after they gave the car back as "fixed". They said the bolt was rusty and that they broke it on purpose. They recommended that I go to a body shop as they were unable to fix it, and sent me back on the road with the car in an illegal, dangerous condition. Pictures of the damage are attached. I paid $1,250 for the oil change and "the repairs" and over a thousand at the body shop undoing their damage. Beware and think twice if you need service like this. Update: I called the number provided by Monro and they never sent me an update on my case. After calling numerous times, someone told me that I need to call at 9am if I want to have a chance of reaching the right department. Both dishonest and useless. read more

I brought my car to Mr. Tire in Hamilton, NJ after noticing a rattling noise when pressing the brake. About an hour later, I received a call informing me that the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced--for a total cost of $1,087. I declined the service. However, I was then told I had to pay $187 for a diagnostic fee--something that was never disclosed to me when I dropped off the vehicle. That lack of transparency is deeply frustrating. On top of that, the receipt doesn't even mention a diagnostic; it simply lists "Labor - Misc Service," along with an additional $15.98 shop supply fee. That kind of vague billing feels incredibly misleading. To make matters worse, I had the same job completed elsewhere the same day, including a proper diagnosis, for only $360. My car is now working perfectly.The difference in pricing and clarity was significant. As a first-time customer, this experience felt not only overpriced but also dishonest. This Mr Tire in Rt 33 in Hamilto,NJ is utterly horrific. Joe a new employee was very nice and attentive on my initial visit on 2/17/25. Long story short ..I walked in on the 17th for a tire with 2 nails in it. I was given a list of repairs I had to do, ok, I ended agreeing to replace water pump (which was not leaking prior to going to this location) the front routers and the brakes. On 2/18 paid over $1,600 left the shop at 9:48am for to work at 10:16am parked it and at 11:30am my boss notices there's a lot of liquid under my car. At 4pm I turned on to go home from work and it's literally flushing out. A tow got to it at 7pm and dropped off at Mr Tire. 2/19 my husband and I walk in and Zack the "site manager" had such a rude and nasty attitude! Saying how he can't do anything about it and he's happy to park it outside and we can tow it elsewher. He's telling me it'll be $2,500 BUT I showed him the printout where it says it'll be $1,700 THEN he says "Ok I guess I'll honor that" ...How is this shop even open?! They are crooks! The worst part is that I reached out to the "District Manager" -Bart Dehaven to 609232-7265 wow he was even worst then Zack! Absolutely disgustin! zero empathy and the yelling when I was trying to understand why the flush of fluids. I never asked for discounts or a hand me down, I wanted to understand how the Hose ended up so horribly undone. Honestly I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here. The manager and even worst the "District manager" Bart have a horrible way of communicating with customers who are stressed spending thousands of dollar. I couldn't give zero since it's not an option. Horrible, sneaky and dishonest place. After I got a flat tire I made an appointment to buy and install the tires for my car. The price they quoted was way higher than what I calculated from their web page prices. They included all types of surprise fees. When I insisted that I will pay only for the tires and installation price, the staff at the counter was very annoyed. After accepting the price, the job was done. The staff came back and informed me that they cannot put back the spare tire in its place in the car because I, the customer, do not have the right wrench in the car. After I insisted that they must finish the job with their tool he became agitated but relented. When the bill came again there were some surprise fees. Somehow it tires are more expensive when buying directly from the store than ordering through Tire Rack. Different fee amounts, installation fees, and , disposal fees. Plus, they didn't have the tire they advertised online and had to go with more expensive option that was priced-match from Tire Rack. Horrible. Sneaky dishonest place. I have shopped there over the past 40 years off and on. The old regime was great, but doing business there the last few years has proven to be frustrating at best with crude umprofessional behavior by the staff. I have been charged for things that weren't done, quoted a price for a tire, and after all types of surprise fees at time of service, the price went way up with some BS explanation. Was driving to work on 195 when tire light came on near Hamilton. I knew I needed to find a tire place. I saw Mr Tire and figured somone was looking out for me. Well, someone was, just No one at Mr Tire. I walked in, no one at counter, waited till someone from work bay came into counter area. II told him my light is on and tire is flat. He told me he couldn't help me today, to come back tomorrow. Seriously! My tire is flat, I have no spare (run flat tires) and he tells me, without even offering to look or maybe try putting some air in it, to "come back tomorrow", luckily there was a Midas across the street which had me in and out within an hour and was very helpful. Left in hands of SHADY employee (RC Jr) who once installed a headlight bulb without my approval and then add $30 to my oil change bill and then today charged me twice the amount I am usually charged for an oil change with the excuse that he is "not allowed to give discounts the mgr and assistant mgr give" and then slip in an oil filter for another $13 that I did not request or approve. Went to Mr. Tire since car was not riding smoothly. Service told me there was road tar on two of the tires and since it was an AWD vehicle that I would have to purchase 4 new tires (for $800!). Great tread on all existing tires. Took the car to American Tire. They spent a short amount of time scraping the tar off both tires...for no charge. If I have future automotive needs, I know where I will take the car. Mr. Tire is a terrible choice. RIP Vespias. read more

Do Not Go Here (anymore). My family and I had used this shop for nearly three decades when it was Vespia's Goodyear and a few years following. No longer. Either they don't know engines or they were trying to destroy mine (in hopes I'd come back?) but the fellow checking me in suggested a very wrong type of oil for my car's make and model and tried to sell me other expensive services I know I didn't need. They tried to convince a family member something was wrong with a tire that was clearly not the case. For a town with this many mechanics, I can't imagine this new behavior keeping this shop around very long. My son took my truck for a oil chg only to call and tell me the price including tax would be $81 WHAT?!?! Since when??? I have had my cars serviced at Mr. Tire for many years but this is my first review. Yesterday I brought them a flat tire with a broken valve stem and thought no brainer. Nah! I learned that I needed a TPMS sensor. The manager sympathetically explained the situation and costs. Work was performed timely and cleanly. Today, I hear a noise from another tire and bring it to Mr. Tire expecting that I have a BIG problem. Left the car and got a call informing me that I had picked up a screw between my treads and there would be NO CHARGE. Fair, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. My first time at Mr. Tire and I actually thought they were great ! I had a nail in one of my tires and they took care of it in about 30 minutes. I had an appointment at 5:00 but came in a hour early, no problem . The online appointment makes it easy to schedule. They will email and call to confirm your appointment. Be on the look out for some coupons and great deals on their site ! My tire repair and balancing came to $35 but with my free repair tire coupon, I was only paying $16! Went into Mr. Tire because I had a flat recently. I put air in it, and it seemed fine, but I still wanted the tire replaced. However, the staff at Mr. Tire thoroughly looked at it and determined that my tire was fine and that there was no need for a new one. I didn't ask them to do that and they could have just given me the new tire and gotten the extra money, but they were honest and didn't try to take advantage of me. I really appreciated that. I got an oil change too, and it only cost me about 25$ for them to do that and put my old tire back on since I had replaced it with a donut for the time being. The wait time was very short also.I definitely plan to use Mr. Tire again, especially since I had such a bad experience with STS recently. read more

I will no longer patronize this establishment. After getting routine oil changes here for the past few years (since I moved to the area), I am told at my last visit that they've been using the wrong oil for my car..??!!?! To hear this itself as a customer is a bit scary, and in fact makes me question the establishment's expertise (but that's neither here, nor there). I have a Volkswagen Jetta 2005, and I was getting the synthetic blend, versus the full synthetic Bob (I believe was his name) suggested. I didn't agree that I needed to get the full synthetic (especially since I haven't had any issues while using the synthetic blend) and I particularly didn't want to pay the full synthetic price, but for the sake of doing the right thing to get through the winter I did. A couple days later there's a burnt smell coming from my vehicle, the oil light is blinking, and a slight revving noise is present when I drive. I decide to take it to a Volkswagen dealer, and I'm informed that the oil filter was installed improperly, resulting in an oil leak. So I went from paying double, to almost 4 times the amount I would normally pay for an oil change and to correct this (not to mention the potential damage to the vehicle this could have caused). This is not even the kicker. When I called this establishment, asking them to take me off the mailing list and out of their system due to an issue I had with my last visit, I wasn't even asked what the issue was?!! Unbelievable!! No customer service whatsoever. An apology at the very least goes a long way. It's understandable that maybe you have new staff, or a mechanic unfamiliar with foreign cars, or even just a mechanic having a bad day. To not even hear me out as a patron shows me that you don't care about my business, so you will no longer receive it. It's a shame too, because up until now I had a pretty good relationship with the establishment. I purchased tires here and all. This is proof that customer service is everything. Looks like these guys need a serious update from one unhappy customer. I am actually a happy customer. I have a mechanic who does my normal car maintenance and emergency service but he is closed on Sundays. Mr. Tire is not and in fact is a lot closer. I've been there twice, once to plug up my tire and the other to fix my passenger side window. They quoted the price upfront and told me to leave me car there. When I called, the gentleman was nothing but courteous and answered every question I had. Though their were issues that came about that I didn't get my car fixed in the same time frame they originally speculated, they were still very sweet and I will go back as my 2nd option. They have great guys working there. It's -1 star due to the amount of time it took and the cost. But good if you need someone ASAP. read more

Took my car there for an oil change and tire rotation. No idiot lights on when I took it there. I picked it up several hours later and as soon as I drove car off the lot the tire pressure sensor came on. I promptly drove back into Mr. Tire and questioned why it was on. Was told to drive it for a few miles and it "should" go back off. I explained I lived across the state and they still had no answer. So I drove car home, and back to work next day. Sensor still lit. Called Mr Tire and spoke to someone and they had no idea. Questioned if the tire pressures where ok, if light was on when I brought it into them. Pretty much pushing blame onto me. I stated pressures where ok when brought to them and no lights where on. They told me I would need to go online and find a MR Tire by me and take it back in but it was nothing they did to car. 1. why would I have to check my tire pressures when they just had the car- should they not have done that? 2. Truly unprofessional and will scam and rip off at any moment. I brought a 1986 Chevrolet pick up truck in for an alignment and even if you don't know much about cars i can tell you a 1986 pick up truck is about as plain and basic as you can get. The service manager comes into the waiting room like he's telling me my family member passed away and says "we need to order a special tool for the alignment its going to be hundreds of dollars". I guess he thought because i was younger looking at the time he could scam me. I told him to pull my truck out ill go across the street to midas and midas did the alignment with no special tools at their advertised price. About a year later I'm looking to have tires mounted and balanced and their advertised price is $15 a tire. I call up and the lady on the phone says "tires those size (275/40/17) will be about $40 a tire" another rip off. Midas did it $15 a tire in and out again. ..I had a bad experience last year but thought I would try it again. I went to get a nail out of my tire and was told they couldn't fix it. They said I needed to buy a new tire for $169.00. I've had this same problem before so I knew it could be fixed. I left Mr Tire and went to another tire place in Bordentown and they fixed it for $19.99. By the way Mr Tire charges $29.99 to repair a tire. I will not go back there. The first time I was there they tried to tell me something was wrong and it wasn't. read more
