Excellent service ! They fit me in for two front tires as I was on a spare. Rotated my back two tires as well after checking them out. Inspected my car and let me know what I needed done next Manager was helpful and friendly. (Mike) Mechanic who worked on my car was thorough and informed me what I needed that day and what was needed as I said. Brought my teenage sons car here for them to look at the brake pad and rotors to see if they needed changed as I had purchased the car used and wasn't sure the history. I was told they were fine and that they had plenty of life left on them. I appreciated the guys honesty. Fast forward two weeks later and the pad was apparently non existent. The caliper got into the rotor and locked up making the car undrivable. Luckily he was able to get the car pulled over and in the process destroyed a tire and the rotor. At least he didn't have an accident. I seriously doubt the Mr Tire technician even looked at the brakes. read more

Complete waste of money. I told the "mechanic" the issue I had, I told him the speed that the issue starts, I told him the sound that it makes.. he then drove my car for less than 5 minutes, he did not go the speed I told him he needed to go, he did not even mention anything about the issue I told him about. He came back and just recommended new tires, which I already told him I knew I needed, but I went there for a certain diagnosis. On top of that, they damaged the underside of my car because they weren't cautious while putting it on the lifts. Currently working with lawyers since their customer support is non existent. Being someone that works on cars, and wanted a break and trusted the google reviews, I'm extremely disappointed, I don't even think the mechanic there knew what he was doing, nor did he seem to care. Literally the worst experience I've ever experienced at a place that is suppose to have mechanics. You're better off flushing your money down the toilet. read more

We went in for oil change and asked the price and they overcharged us and the manager argued that they never disclose that there are taxes and fees, $16 extra. we are on a budget and called ahead to get out the door pricing and they lied about the price. Avoid this place. I took my perfectly running truck and for oil change. Shortly after leaving warning lights came on for my traction control system which had never had a problem prior to being there. I later found that they had not service the oil in the brake reservoir. They also informed me that my suspension needed a part to be replaced. The cost for that repair would be around $600. read more

Colony Tire, please come back! I went to Colony Tire for years and never had a problem. Now since Mr. Tire has taken over, things have appeared to go downhill. After one visit, they forgot to put on one of my lug nuts after a tire rotation. Then another time, they forgot to close my air filter cover (and there's no way it could have opened/unsnapped on it's own). If they're missing little things like this, I don't want to know what big things they're missing. While the convenience of Mr. Tire is great, it's time to find a new place. read more

I have gone to this Mr.Tire for about 9 months and several times recently. The service has been spectacular. I had to buy two tires In July and bit the bullet and bought the other two in August. There was a problem with the TPS monitor (Tire pressure monitor) and the manager, George, worked on reprogramming it until it was fixed. When the second two tires were done the service tech let me see that the front brakes were very worn. I drive 3000-4000 miles a month. The next day I called, brought the car in and I was back on the road within 1-1/2 hours. No shop gets it right all the time. I rate shops on how they respond under fire and this team does remarkable. The whole staff has been very helpful and with a new manager things have gotten even better. Thanks for keeping me safe. Brian B PS Most major shops have a shop fee that covers incidentals. That's never included on advertised specials. I have had the $18 oil special and now do the higher price so I cna use synthetic. I agree, Avoid this place. I took my 4Runner in to have tire sensors moved from old tires to new tires with mounting tires on car. I thought since this is a tire place they would be able to handle this job. I WAS WRONG! I was told that 1 sensor was broken and my tire pressure light was on before they started the job, WRONG, my 4Runner did not have any dash warnings or lights when I took it to them. They replaced the sensor with a non-compatible sensor and gave the car back to me with a tire pressure warning light, said they didn't have time to fix the issue. They did take the charge for the broken sensor off my bill, and stated they don't want to work on the issue anymore, go away! read more

Came to this location because the Firestone across the street did not do oil changes. Guy at the front quoted me 30 minutes, after an hour I came back up and he said that they forgot about me. They Asked if I had 30 minutes that they could quickly do my oil change so I agreed. Fast forward to the next day, my car started making a very loud banging noise from underneath it, brought it into the nearest mechanic and he said that the panel underneath was put on completely backwards. I went to Mr Tire on Fayetteville Rd because My car was leaking coolant They gave an estimate to replace the upper radiator hose. The price they quoted me for the hose was $269.99. I walked next door to autozone and they had a hose for $64.00. I called Leith Jaguar in Cary and they had the hose for $170. How could they charge $100 more for the same hose that the Jaguar dealer charged. You can't get more original the the dealer. It was $200 more than autozone. I'm not sure how you overcharge that much. read more

If you are ready for unnecessary upsells, then this is your place. As a previous reviewer explained, they advertise low-cost oil changes ($18.99), and then pull the bait-and-switch. I made the mistake of having my oil changed here the past two times. EEK! During the first visit for an oil change only, I was told I needed tires--"like yesterday." I said, "no, thank you," but accepted the estimate. I then had others look at the tires and was told I had a good 10-15,000 miles of wear left. For my next oil change (and about 6,000 miles later), I regretfully returned to this Mr. Tire. This time I was told I needed a front-end alignment. I explained that I was getting my tires replaced and would have the alignment taken care of at that time. Through a series of annoying back-and-forth, I was told that no, I didn't need new tires. They had some wear, but that was just because I needed a front-end alignment. Yea, sure. Please be gracious to yourself. Do not, under any circumstances, use this Mr. Tire's services. read more

So I went to get my brakes checked and my oil changed. I ended up paying a ridiculous $140 for a what was supposed to be a $20 oil change. They charged me $90 for labor and $28 shop fee without being informed. While I was waiting with my children for two hours everybody that would go and pay at the counter were overcharged for what they were originally quoted. I shall never go there ever again. These folks installed new tires I ordered from Tire Rack. Tires were shipped to the store in an incredible 24 hours. I had a 1PM appt. on a Saturday for installation. Foolishly I thought perhaps they would work on my car at 1PM. Turns out I had to leave the car and they finished it just before closing at 6PM. I was a little disappointed, I mean why did I bother to make an appointment? Previously I would have used Discount Tire, which either does the work while you wait or suggests you come back at a less busy time. There are no appointments at Discount Tire, and they only do tires, no car repairs. I guess I thought a place called "Mr. Tire" would be a little more like Discount Tire, but it's not. read more

Went in for a full synthetic oil change on my Infiniti. After paying for the service and returning to my car, I noticed grease marks on my (bone colored) leather driver seat. After they confronted the tech (who drove my car) he comes out with an attitude and basically calls me a liar saying it was not him. Took a car in for a pre purchase inspection and told them to check everything, they told me the car was perfect so I went ahead and purchased it. Turns out the breaks were bad as well as the air compressor being worn out. Extra $1100 I shouldn't have had to spend if they just did the job. Took my truck into the Mr. Tire on Fayetteville St. Raleigh NC for a simple State Inspection. Appointment was for 11:00 AM, and I arrived at 10:50. The manager (Mike) was friendly and checked me in promptly. They took my truck in around 11:05 so I figured I would be out of there by 11:30. At almost 12:00 the technician informed me that my truck would need wiper blades in order to pass, and said that my rear pads and rotors needed to be replaced, although they wouldn't cause it to fail the inspection. I had already inspected my pads 2 weeks early when I rotated my tires! I've been getting inspections for over 25 years and have never had a vehicle fail over wiper blades. The technician said there was a tear in the blade, although the wipers worked perfectly a few days before in the rain. I could understand if the rubber was separated from the blade, but that was not the case. After having the wipers replaced ( I think they knew I was a little upset) and declining their brake service they passed my truck and I was on my way. They ended up giving me a decent deal on the wipers (buy one, get one 50% off), but at 17.99 each plus ea $3.00 install fee each, and a $2.00 shop fee (whatever that is) this is a clear case of an up-sell. Any Advance Auto or Auto Zone will install your wipers free, or you can do it yourself in under 30 seconds per blade. After reviewing the paperwork along with my receipt, I discovered they did a "Courtesy Inspection" AKA "Let's see if there is anything possible that we can possible charge this customer for that they didn't want or ask for". Why can't a repair shop just simple do the job you asked them to do? What should have been a 20 to 30 minute process ended up taking over an hour. At this point the only way I'll return to this location (other Mr. Tire's may be fine) is if my life is at stake. They have lost this customer permanently, so I hope the wiper blades were worth it. read more

Women please please do not take your car to Mr. Tire! I had been taking my car there for over 4 years for oil changes but now I will never go back! I had a new oil pan replaced last Oct. still had a warranty during the oil change the oil plug was stripped. Mr. Tire installed a plug that didn't fit and caused oil to leak out of my car causing my engine to lock up. Ask any dealership, they will tell you to stay away from places like Mr. Tire. Technicians are NOT properly trained and when a situation like this occurs well you're out of luck. Only way to deal with this is taking them to court. Calling television stations. Getting the word out and educating people how taking your car to a place like Mr. Tire will be the worst mistake that you can make. read more

This is a scam! Took a unmounted tire with a nail to them for repair. I went to MR. Tire and even had a "free repair" coupon. The Assistant manager told me it was $35 to fix the flat. He said they must remove the tire pressure sensor to fix the flat. This is WRONG. The sensor is mounted in the stem which is mounted in the wheel. He said the coupon was only good for the patch. I challenged him and he said that this is the price everyone charges and it was "policy". 15 minutes later, the tire store 5 minutes down the road fixed it for $10. Went to get simple oil change. My car has 23,000 miles on it. I came out with a $900.00 bill new tires which had free rotation.Couple months later I went there to get a inspection car has 25,000 miles. Of course they came and said my plate light was out. I didn't fall for it and they said they would eat the cost. I then went 3 months later to get my tires rotated I was the only one there. I waited and waited they came back to tell me my car was done. They told her she had a oil leak plus they said she had a bad cv axle boot crack.They were going to charge to replace boot,$452.49.They also had a long list of other things that needed to be replaced.They told my wife that she needed $1,034.39 worth of work done. Buyer BEWARE! Avoid this place at all costs if you can!! I found a screw in my tire one morning and out of sheer convenience of location decided to stop by. I knew that the screw being right in the middle of the tire should have been an easy patch. Well of course I'm sitting in the lobby and the manager? Keith comes in and says "I want to show you something" . He proceeds to spin my tire a bit and show me a nail in my side wall which had not been there 10 minutes before when I was across the street at the gas station filling my tires. CLEARLY, I would have seen it since it was not more then 10 inches away from the screw! I thought it was pretty convenient for it to all of a sudden show up. The jack ass puts his thumb at the edge of the tire and says "yep, it's covering that nail so that means you need a new tire. We can't patch it". Then of course he says "well, you also need at least 2 more tires anyway." He then brings me two sets of quotes...one for 4 NEW tires AND an alignment (of course!) and another for just two tires. At that point I asked him to just put the spare on and leave it at that. So he walks away and the tech (older man) who was putting my spare on AGREED with me, stating he did not see that nail when I first brought it!!! After that, I thanked the old man and went back and let Keith know that he should be ashamed of himself and how disgraceful it is that they would stoop so low for business. He basically blubbered something incoherent and turned extremely red in the face. Hate to stereotype, but because I'm a woman, they thought they could take me for a sucker?! My husband and I will be customers for as long as we live here. Every time I've gone in, the employees have been very kind and accommodating. I needed new tires for my Mazda SUV, and I needed them that day (my tires were very bald). Mr. Tire didn't have the tires I wanted in stock, but knowing I absolutely needed tires that day, they offered me the higher tier tires that they had in stock for the mid-tier price which also had a $120 rebate on them.
