What's the point of scheduling an appointment, if you are waiting your turn for 2 hours. My appointment was at 10:30 so It's supposed to be done by 11:30am, but they started doing their job only by 11:50am. My whole plans just got changed and some of them cancelled. Would give this place no stars if I could. They scheduled me for an oil change and to check a tire that had a leak. I ended up waiting 2 hours and they told me they couldn't get to it. When an oil change in my truck costs $130 in July, but the price in October is over $170 (plus tax), there is a huge problem. The manager (John) charged me over $17.40 a gallon for oil. His answer? That's what they authorized. No apology, no adjustment. I have been using this place for years and spent $thousands. Never again. In addition, my washer pump stopped working and no offer to even look at it after charging me this outrageous price. Horrible, horrible response to a very loyal commercial customer. These guys are top notch, genuine and kind. not a bad thing I could say, they kept me informed through the entire process which I appreciate. And they aren't trying to sell you things you don't want or need. I had a mice nest in my engine, and they had chewed through my windshield wiper fluid hose... I was disgusted! Decent auto center. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The building is fairly clean and the waiting room has a separate area with countertops so if you have a laptop that is a great place you can utilize. Free WiFi also. My only complaint is that my car took two hours. That's a long time to wait on a simple oil change. I will probably be back here though, as I said the man at the front desk (forget his name) was super nice! EDIT: Changing initial review from 4 stars to 5. I take my car here for every oil change, my families been coming here for many years. Never have they not shown appreciation for our business, and they have always given there honest opinions. Like if you could doing this, and that and the third, would be best.. but you really only need this and that for now. I really appreciate them. One year I was going to fail my inspection which is what I came in for. They told me to go ahead and service a couple of things then they would inspect my vehicle, saving me $$$! I got a flat tire on the highway yesterday on my way home and needed to have it repaired or replaced quickly so I could get to work today. My husband called last night and a nice gentleman named John answered the phone. My husband explained our situation and John assured us he could help and that if we came down, they'd have time to get us taken care of. We arrived and two friendly men were behind the register area, one of which was John. He came out to the car to assess the tire, and as we suspected from the gash, the tire needed replacing. He was able to get us a decent tire at a reasonable price since finances were a factor. We were out the door in 30 minutes. They ensured we had everything we needed and put my spare and trunk back together afterward. It was truly the best experience I've had with a tire place, especially in such an urgent and unfortunate timing situation. Will definitely be returning when we need new sets for our vehicles. read more

Horrible customer service. I called to set up time for an inspection and was told it would be at 2pm. When I walked in at 1:55 the guy at the desk Ignored me and kept taking phone calls as if I want even in the store. At 2:30 he finally got off the phone and asked what I needed. I called multiple tire locations in Cary for a price quote on two rear tires. John answer my call and was very polity and extremely knowledgeable about the tires I needed for my 2017 BMW X5. I needed a set of Pirelli Pzero 315/35/20 PZ4 Run flats. John knew exactly the tire needed and mentioned he would have to order it and have it next day. He went ahead and ordered the tires. The following day he called to tell me the tires were in. We set up an appointment for a Saturday at 10 am. When I showed up to the facility I was greeted by John himself as I walked in the door. I asked John if it would be late to request an oil change and a North Carolina State Inspection while having the tire change. John said it would be no inconvenience at all and would have Ainoy the techncian servicing my BMW make sure to do the oil change. "Awesome" was my response. The technician named Ainoy doing the tire installation oil change made sure to re-set the oil change indicator on my BMW X5. Sometimes the factory trained techs forget to re-set the oil change service indicator. Over all I have to say John and Ainoy will earn my business again. and I HIGHLY recommend having your vehicle serviced with Mr Tire Cary location rather than the franchise dealer. read more

I stopped by Mr. Tire today, granted I had no appointment but was ready to wait for the approximate 2 hours it might take to get to my car. (I had the part and just needed an install). Unfortunately, the front service person didn't give me a chance to tell him that and he came across as less than pleased that I stopped by at the last minute with parts in tow. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and left. I will take all of my future business elsewhere going forward. I've been going to Mr. Tire since it was Colony Tires, and I've yet to have a bad experience with them. They did tires on my Porsche, my old beat-up pickup truck, and my large GMC diesel ... and they've always done a good job. I'm fussy about how my aluminum rims are balanced (and how the weights are mounted), and they always take care to do the job right. The most involved work I've had done was an alignment, which blessedly was done with the steering wheel correctly aligned so I don't have to drive down the road with a crooked steering wheel. read more

Instead of acknowledging that I was confused and offer me time to review my paperwork at home, he decided to try to sell me a new tire. This place is amazing! I was driving home from a day of running errands when my tire pressure light came on. It was past 5 PM, so I had trouble finding tire places that were open. Luckily I found Mr. Tire! Randy was so helpful, breaking down what was wrong with my tire in a way that a "car dummy", like me, could understand. On the company website, it's stated that they'll not only match any competitor's total price for tires but they'll also beat it by an additional 5%--THIS IS NOT TRUE. After calling to find out exactly what kind of proof I had to bring with me to receive the price match/discount, I went to my appointment and was told--after waiting about 20 minutes as they tried to figure out how to wriggle out of their company's "guarantee", and having to confirm multiple times that they were the same tires, service fees and taxes--that the best that they could do was match the price of their competitor (Discount Tire). The promised, additional 5% discount, which would've been about $50, was impossible, they said. So I went to their competitor, instead; same price that Mr. Tire was offering but they, unlike Mr. Tire, didn't try to weasel me out of a whopping $50...nor did they waste my time. AVOID. UPDATE: See below. That's Mr. Tire's customer service department, apologizing to me for "not living up to to (my) expectations". Please know that the first image you'll see when you go to their website is a huge ad that says, "we will beat any competitor's price by 5%" AND it's a guarantee that's repeated in signage all over their shop--why would MY expectations be any different than ANYONE ELSE'S? For that matter, why would I expect anything ELSE than what they state, over and over again? What an awful company. They know full well that their failure had nothing to do with my subjective "expectations", they're just trying to invalidate my review by framing me as a malcontent to whomever might read this review. I went to this location to get 4 new expensive tires for my truck. I hate being upsold but they convinced me that with such expensive tires, it's best to pay extra and have an alignment done. It ended up that my truck pulled to the left and I didn't feel confident that the mechanics at this location could fix it properly so I contacted Josh at the 101 Airtech Dr Morrisville, NC 27560 location. Josh and his team took a look at the alignment the Harrison shop did and found that it was so far out of alignment my new tires would have been ruined in just a couple weeks! Upon the recommendation of the store manager, i purchased tires from this location about 2 and 1/2 years ago. The tires were rated for 80,000 miles and I paid approximately $800 for them and purchased a separate road hazard package as well. Recently, I noticed that there was a significant amount of road noise from the tires. I visited the store and had the tires rotated and balanced and an alignment done. At this time, there was about 30,000 miles on the tires. There was still a lot of noise... to the point that a friend who does not normally ride with me asked me if there was something wrong with my car/ tires. I took my car to another (unaffiliated) facility in a different town and was told there was significant amount of "cupping" on the tires and I would need to replace them in order to get rid of the noise. My husband called Mr. Tire and was told that the tires in my car never should have been recommended as they were not a good fit for my vehicle. When he pointed out that we bought the tires on the recommendation of the store manager, he learned that the manager was no longer there. He was also told something like, "I don't know why he loved that tire so much. He recommended it to everybody". He was told that they could offer us $150 towards the cost of a new set of tires. My husband called the corporate customer service line just before Christmas and spoke with Alex. Alex took down the information and promised to run it by "the higher ups", see what they said, and call back. After approximately 2 weeks, my husband called back and got Alex again. He apathetically and rudely said, "yeah, they are going to do anything for you". He had no further explanation and offered no apology for not returning the call as promised. My husband then called the store back and spoke with Rance (I think he is the new manager at this location). If he is not, he SHOULD BE! Rance took the info, apologized for our inconvenience and asked for a couple of days to look into the situation. When he called back as promised (learn a lesson, Alex!), he more than met our expectations. We arranged for me to bring the car in for new tires and a front end alignment at a rate that showed that he heard and agreed with our concerns. When I arrived, Rance enthusiastically shook my hand and with a smile said, "We are going to take good care of you". He offered me a ride home or to the office and asked what time I wanted to pick the car up. I asked, "What time is good for you?" And Rance responded, "No! What time is good for YOU?". After months of aggravation and feeling unheard, Rance took the initiative to resolve the issue and create one very satisfied customer. His personality and customer service focus are rarely found in businesses these days. I certainly hope that the leadership team at the Mr. Tire corporate level appreciate the value that this young man brings to their organization! Well done, Rance... and thank you!! read more

My rental car was low on tire pressure And I thought I might have to return it back to the rental car company. However I was literally down the street from this business and decided to check in. I was mentally prepared to wait for a few moments, but they greeted me as soon as I walked in. I told him the issue and they asked me to bring the car around. If you cherish your car, please don't go here!!! I am a single, career driven women who works in the vicinity of this establishment. Essentially, I was concerned about my breaks and wanted a tire rotation. Needless to say, the price they quoted me was well OVER 900 dollars. I kindly decline there offer and asked if they could perform an oil change along with the tire rotation. They did and my total was for everything was 65.00 dollars. A month later, I start hearing a raddling when I take my foot off the gas ( I drive a manual) this raddle began to get worse and worse. Something said, check your oil......that was when I discovered that after a month of getting my routine oil change and NOT driving 3000 miles, I had no oil what so ever in my engine and None of my fluids was topped off.. I asked how long it would take on the phone they said 1hr maybe 1hr and 15 mins. I needed to be out of there by 430. Well I was not! The person who checked me in bad mouthed the tires I had bought said they were not even in the top 10 rated tires. At 5pm told me my alignment was very bad and I needed it done right away.
