Totally dishonest!!! Wish there was a 0 star. I have let them do work in the past, and each time I have had to get the dealership price for them to match after they gave me an outrageous quote. Never going there again now. Today they quoted $57 for an oil change on the phone for my specific car. I was charged $128. They would not honor the quoted price and would not give my car back until I paid $128. Again, more than the dealership would charge. Just thieves at this place. read more

Absolute waste of time. These people are dishonest. They damaged the area around my windshield when replacing my wipers--looked like they used a heavy tool--and tried to claim it was already like that. They quoted me one price over the phone, then charged me way more in person with a bunch of hidden fees. Also, when they changed my tire, they took my wheel lock and acted like I was lying about it being missing--only to later "find" it in my glove box, which I had already checked. This place is a hot mess. The big dude with the glasses is apparently the manager, but I swear this dude couldn't repair a bicycle. Not only is he lazy as hell and spends the day staring off into space, he's not even a halfway decent human being. I dropped off my vehicle because it was making crazy noises. It sat there for two days, and he calls and says he doesn't hear anything and can't find an issue. About two weeks later, I realize I'm losing oil fast and the noise gets worse, so I take it back. They called my warranty company and told them I let it run out of oil and damaged the engine, knowing good and well they just needed to cover their asses for not diagnosing the problem to begin with. Luckily I found a mechanic in network that knew exactly what they were doing and actually wanted to help repair the oil issue! I didn't realize what an awful reputation they had until I started sharing my experience with others. Save yourself a massive headache and stick with reputable professionals! read more

I went to get my coolant recharged for my air conditioning in my car, they overcharged it and blew one of my lines out. They proceeded to not notice all of the coolant leaking out of my car, I had to point it out to them. Then they tried to improperly diagnose the issue to take the heat off of their mistake. I was very understanding, and even said I'd allow them to fix what the actual problem was - the blown line. They then proceeded to order the wrong part, and couldn't even fix the issue. Three weeks without air conditioning in the summer, hundreds of dollars, hours of my time wasted - because of the team here. They are very nice, but that doesn't make up for all of the problems I had with their services. read more

Do not take your vehicle here. I took my car here a few months ago when my car started misfiring suddenly. They had it for two weeks and did more damage than was done when I first took it there. They installed 30 amp fuses instead of 15s and this has led to three additional garage trips since then from where the higher amperage fuses didn't blow when they should have during the misfires. My ECM, temperature gauge, and O2 sensor have had to be replaced since and that's not even the whole list of things as they're still being uncovered. Mr. Tire refunded what I paid them for that two weeks, but the damage that they did has costed me well over $1,500 since taking my car there and this number continues to climb. I have a case open with their corporate, but they're refusing to do anything further because they already refunded me. They refuse to take into consideration the additional amount that I've had to spend to fix issues directly related to their mechanic's negligence. After a moderately long wait, but reasonable as it was Saturday morning, my tire and rim were thoroughly inspected and treated properly. Although the- what I assume is- the service manager had a lot on his plate he was concise and did his best to treat every guest the same. After inspected and fixing my rim he promptly thanked me for my patience and let me leave free of charge. He remarked the long wait in his reasoning and after shaking my hand sent me off with a serviceable tire and rim. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my car to get an inspection, they told me I needed a back left shock and a brake pad. My total came out to 738.00.. I told them to slap that rejection sticker on there. No way "labor" is 600 some dollars. Took it home, boyfriend replaced both in less than an hour. TOTAL crap. Thankfully I have knowledge enough to know these places over charge but I never would've imagined that. Never again. read more

I understand this place is under new management so hopefully things are better now but, last May 2019 I went here for a VA state inspection. It was the worst experience I have ever had. Because they have glass between the customer service area and the workers, you can see exactly what is going on. The man that was inspecting my car kept taking smoke breaks. What should have taken less than 30 minutes, took 50 minutes. When I complained to the manager, he made excuses saying you can only do so much and then you have to wait to proceed to the next step. I'm not some kid. I'm 62 years old and have have state inspections done numerous times. His defending of his worker just made me more upset. I will never go here again. We are on a road trip from Alabama to Massachusetts and our car was making a terrible clunking sound. We took it to Skip at Monro first thing this morning and he diagnosed the problem, explained it to us, had his technician make the repairs, and took it for a test drive, all within 45 minutes. Skip told us that he has more than 30 years of experience and it shows! He was so friendly and funny, making us laugh in the midst of our worries about our car. He was equally kind and knowledgeable with each of the other customers who came in. Additionally Skip is extremely fair and even generous with his service charges. He tells customers what they need and doesn't push any added repairs. We have always had good experiences with Monro, both at home and on the road. I was on my way home from Tennessee when my car broke down on the interstate and was towed to Mr. Tire. The staff quickly tested my car and decided I needed a new battery and promptly replaced the battery. Before I could leave the parking lot my car died, the staff were quick to recheck my car and the office manager refunded my money for the battery without me having to ask. The staff at Mr. Tire are amazing! I was completely stressed out about what to do and they all offered suggestions on hotels to stay at and even drove me and my family, including my dog, to a hotel for the night. The next morning they came and picked us up and let us hang out in their office all day. They worked so hard trying to help me find a rental car to get my family home. All the staff went above and beyond to help me. I had to leave my car at Mr. Tire to come home and I am fully confident that they will take care of my car. I highly recommend Mr Tire for all your auto repair needs. read more

My husband and I have our tires delivered here after purchasing online and the guys are always friendly and professional. Pricing is most reasonable and service is done in a timely manner. Get the oil changed or a tune up and rather then wait in the smallish waiting area just walk behind the shop to Walmart's for a little shopping. read more

I took my car in for an oil change and picked it up. Then went to drive it noticed an oil spot on my driveway. Checked the oil and none on the stick called they said bring it in. Took it in and they had stripped the oil plug. 4 hours later they said they fixed it. Took it home and it sat for a while its not my daily driver. So next time i went to drive it again oil in my drive way so i called they said bring it in and drop it off. They had it almost 3 weeks and every day i called they said they were waiting on a part. Then they said well it hasnt leaked here so they did nothing the whole three weeks. So i picked it up and brought it back home. We had a snow so i drove it and parked it at my work and wouldnt you know its leaking. So back i went well theyve had it two weeks so far and it hasnt even been moved out from where i parked it and underneath it is all my oil. Called and they said well we have to get appointments first. What kind of crap is that, so my truck is still sitting there. With no oil in it and so i asked when they would get to it and they said they dont know because they are backed up. I really thought they were better than this and jimmy said hes quiting because of the way customers are being treated. I must not be the only one. read more

Be very careful! My vehicle requires the simple removal of the engine splash guard to change the oil filter and drain the oil. The day after having the oil changed at this shop, the first day at highway speed, the splash guard fell off the one side. Inspection revealed that most parts removed were never put back on. I asked the manager for the parts and was told nothing was removed. After telling him parts must be removed to gain access to the filter and drain plug, he said the parts must have been put back on because if parts are missing the techs write this on the service ticket and nothing was written. When I asked the tech, he said the parts were already missing. When asked why he didn't write anything about missing parts, he said his job was to change the oil; missing parts are not his problem! I find it ironic that this happened after having the oil changed but Monro, didn't remove the parts and didn't see any need to report parts missing contrary to their manager's statement. I know the parts were there since it is obvious when looking at the front of the car and am now faced with paying $250 to fix their ineptitude. If they can't change an oil filter, what else are they unqualified to do? In addition, either the manager or tech is lying. Either the parts were there, I know they were, or they weren't. Neither person saw any need to mention anything! If you take your car here, you will have to decide which one, if either, is being honest! read more
