They gladly helped me this time with a warranty replacement on my stock tires which required them calling the manufacturer. They did this without complaining and advocated for me. Their prices are very competitive compared to other online stores. I would suggest making an appointment online and this will make your time spent most efficient. You can even purchase your tires online and schedule at time for them to be installed if you know what tire you want for your vehicle. I will add that while out of town recently, we had a tire pressure warning light come on and we stopped in a DT in Myrtle Beach area. This location was equally helpful and kind. Discount Tire knows how to find the right employees and train them well both in product knowledge and customer service! I call them the Chick-Fil-A of the tire world!

We brought our car in for a brake issue. While working on the brakes, they told us it needed a steering repair and new tires. We picked up the car and scheduled a time for the steering repair. The repair was supposed to take a coupls of days, they had the car for several weeks. I left a message for them to quote me tires while they had it, so we could possibly get they done while it was there. There seems to have been a change in front desk staff, the previous guy was also super friendly and helpful. The new person acts like he's miserable every time you call. He stated he didn't get my message but could work up a quote for tires. I didn't get the quote until I called to pay for the steering repair. We found cheaper tires somewhere else, had them delivered to the shop and scheduled a third visit in a month. The front desk person told us to bring it back the following Monday at 11 and they would put the tires on. While I was on the pone with him I told him the brake light has been on ever since they fixed the brakes, the power washing fluid container has also been leaking since they repared the steering. My husband took it in at 11, as requested and was told they thought we were going to drop it off. The front desk guy went to the back and talk to the garage staff, my husband could hear him cursing and complaining about us bringing the car in and not dropping it off. Then, my husband mentioned the brake light and he said we'd have to make another appointment. Our car has been in the garage for nearly a month and still is not completely fix. Every time we call to ask a questions, the guy at the front desk has an attitude of he doesn't want to speack to anyone, and our questions are not answered. I have never experienced this at this garage, but it is enough that we are considering a new gagrage.

Stopped by for some air in our bus loaded with a group from our church (21 people). That was not an option with a loaded bus, we just needed some air. I was then told that it would be at least an hour. I went and ask the man in the garage if I could use the air hose and he graciously got the hose and then offered to assist us. When the manager inside saw what he was doing he instructed him to stop. Unfortunately the tire blew out on the trip back home and the three hour trip turned into a five hour trip. I will never use this business ever again, and would caution anyone considering using them for any service. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AT ALL! And Spark Plugs and wires, and Distributor Cap and Rotor. And a Serpentine Belt. Well that little trip there cost me $1400.00 Then when I got home. I noticed a couple of weeks later the Brake lights were not working. I forgot to tell you the first time I went for all the other stuff listed above. They called me and told me the truck wouldn't stay running after they started it. It has the keyless ignition and looks. Well they finally got it to stay running. They told me it was in the wire loom that ran up the steering column. Well I never had any trouble like that till they worked on it. Well to cut it short, it cost me another $98.71 to have them fix the brake lights that they caused the problem with them to begin with. I would not recommend them too anyone. Like the old saying goes, if it's not broken,don't fix it. Well I learned that the hard way, after spending almost $1500.00 plus can fair of $30.00 and a bunch of aggregation. So do your self a favor. Stay away from Thompson Tire in Salem, Virginia.
