My wife had a brake issue and was close to another repair company and they quoted her a ridiculous price for the repair. I myself am a mechanic and knew this price was crazy. Since i was out of town I called Mr. Tire and spoke with Mike, i told him the situation and he was more then happy to help and quoted a more accurate price for the job, got it done quick and she was on her way. I know the other repair company and Mr. Tire are part of the same company but it just gos to show if you deal with the right people you can get it taken care of reasonably. Never going back EVER! Car had work done on it and lights that worked before the service didn't work that night. Told us to bring it to look at it and when I did their response was bulbs blow. I wouldn't even give them one star I did if there was another option. I had an appointment last week to get two tires put on, they made the the appointment for 5 pm, I arrive and was asked what I needed and I told them I had an appointment and the clerk was like at 5pm and I said yeah that's when it was made for and he started getting mad And swearing, I left and they made appointment for the following day. I sat there for 3 hours waiting for my tires to get put on and they took 3 people who came in after me. They got mad at everyone who walked in. Then I was told I could get my car in for inspection today so I called to confirm and it is 2 in the afternoon and they were like I don't think we can do another inspection today then hung up on me. very unprofessional!! To say the least!! Take your car somewhere else. I watched another girl bring her car in for inspection and she sat there for hour and they were like your tires won't pass so we didn't even bother to bring it in and she had new tires put on. read more

I wouldn't trust them. I dropped off our van for an oil change before we had to drive to NJ. They called and said the serpentine belt was frayed and cracking and they wouldn't drive it out of town. It was only $200, so I said OK, but asked them to save the old belt. When they gave me back the belt it looked it completely fine - no frays, no cracks. TO UPDATE: I did connect with the national Monroe office, sent them pictures of the replaced belt, and they refunded me for the work. So, they are responsive to customer concerns. read more

First time using Mr.Tire was their Owego location (now permanently closed). Brought my camper there to have new tires installed, I purchased the tires from a different company. Showed up when they opened only to be turned away because "all the techs called out". I ended up going to a competition company down the road. Now you can see why they permanently closed the location. Fast forward a few months and I try getting my tires mounted and balanced for my F-250 at the North Street Endicott Location. After calling to make an appointment, giving all my vehicles details, showing up to the appointment and waiting 40 minutes only to be told "our lift can't lift your vehicle". Why wasn't that a thought when I booked the appointment and gave you my vehicle details. This company is the biggest waste of time I've ever had to deal with. They can't actually work on anything, it's a wonder they're in business. Only plus side is their staff is generally nice and friendly. Both times staff was apologizing for the waste of time. I'd definitely stay away from this company if you want work completed. Their facilities are so old and outdated it's no wonder why their lifts can't lift a truck that ~7,000 lb vehicle. I had to make a spur of the moment appt to get me flat tire plugged at the Sayre, Pa Mr Tire pretty close to their closing time unfortunately. I asked for a maintenance and state inspection. They changed my tire without my permission. And this tire is not good. Their manager Richard Lorenz is so mean. He talked to me about switching the tire, but he said nothing about changing the tire. Charge me so much for a bad tire without my permission, people should avoid this place. read more

No time sense. My appointment was at 9 am for switching tires. I was told I will get a call by afternoon. It's 5 and I am still at Mr Tire. I can understand 5min, 10 min, 30 min, 1hr late. But half a day late will be ridiculous to me. Our plans were spoilt and my day as well. I could have come on another day instead of I was well informed. They could do a little better by giving realistic estimates of the time instead of book many appointments. What's the big deal with multiple bookings? well, you just lost one customer. Avoid the business at all cost!!! My van started making funny noises and had a shimmy, so I stopped in to have them look at it and got a ride back home 50 miles away. The manager Rich called me later at home quoted me some options for servicing my Toyota Sienna Van. I got quotes between $656 and $885. I took notes on our entire conversation and all the options available so that I could discuss them with my husband. I called back later and told him we would like the $885 option. He agreed to do the work. My van was ready on Sunday morning and I a friend drove me 50 miles to drop me off to pick up my van. Rich was not there, but an assistant handed me my bill. I just about fell over when I was handed a bill for $1,243.54. Rich is a dishonest businessman and should be avoided at all costs. read more

Stay away. They have no idea what they are doing and take advantage of the students at Binghamton U. They con them into buying extra services through "questionable" sales tactics. We had to have another mechanic fix everything they touched. Of course we are now in a credit card dispute for a refund. This place does not even deserve 1 star. I had a flat that needed a repair and they refused but wanted to sell me tires. Told them just put my spare on, which left me stranded for the nite. Had lots of issues. No one seems to care. I called customer service, they said call manager of location. I called manager and he gave me the same rude attitude he did in person with no care in the world. I left a previous Yelp message and a message from them pops up saying call some lady for help with my problem. It may be auto generated because I called her 3 times and left messages and never got anything back. This whole company is in the toilet so much that I had to write a review on the the bad handling of my review. Terrible terrible people. read more

Great auto repair center. Very honest. My daughter's care broker down while she was shopping (she is a Binghamton student). Car was taken to Mr. Tire (one of the few auto centers open on Sunday) and they called right away to advise on the issue. The Starter was bad. They said they had to check on the part and would call back on Monday morning. I received a call first thing Monday morning and Rich from Mr. Tire told me that he checked into it and that the car was still under warranty and the Starter is completely covered by the dealership which is located next to his business. He called them and they have the starter in stock and arranged for everything to be handled. He said he would not charge anything for the diagnosis and putting the car back together to go over to to the dealership. Very friendly. Will use them for everything. read more

I go to the Mr Tire in an emergency. Flat tires, damaged tires etc. Even with appointment it is at least a two hour wait. Walked in today when they opened with one flat tire. Charged $400 and waited for 2.5 hours. Avoid at all costs read more

I was on a road trip from Boston moving my daughter back to school and I ran over a bolt. I really needed to have the tire repaired and continue on my way. I overnighted in Vestal and read through all the Yelp reviews. This was the closet tire repair to my hotel but all the negative reviews gave me pause. I decided to try anyway knowing I would just leave if they started to tell me the tire was not repairable or I needed to wait a day, etc. I arrived at 7:30a on Sat and explained my issue to Rich Lorenz. He stated mechanics do not arrive until 8a. I left the tire to get breakfast and returned a little after 8a. The tire was already fixed and they mounted it back on my van and I was on my way by 8:15a. At no time did they try to sell a new tire or any other shenanigans. I am really grateful of the service I received as it was exactly what I needed and they were courteous the while time. read more
