Two stars because he was fast. I was able to drive my truck again. Only 30 days in and the transmission was toast. 2500 dollars and he wouldn't honor the warranty. In fact I had the transmission inspected when I paid to have it rebuilt AGAIN and they found loosened valve body bolts that had backed out and so on. Simply this place takes your money! I took my 2002 Volkswagen beetle to Savers for a new clutch. They put on the clutch and called me that the car was ready I picked up my Bug and have now driven 20,000 miles without a problem. I know that transmissions and clutches are tricky to work on however they seem to have done a good job in my case. And their price was considerably less than other estimates I was given by other transmission shops. I would feel confident going back if I have another problem in the future read more

paid for a transmission rebuild in 9/2015. They said they did pistons ,valve body, torque converter and more...but right when i got my car back i noticed the alignment was all messed up. I took it back up there and They said they didn't do it that it's my tire pressure... but I just had it done before I went so I knew it was an unethical establishment. Next, I took my car for an oil change at walmart and a mechanic told me it was leaking transmission fluid. I took it back to Savers and they said it just needed to be tightened up and to keep an eye on it. Next the transmission was slipping so I took it back again. So far I only have drove the car a little over 6,000 miles and it has only been 6 months still well under the 12,000 mile warranty or 1 year mark. The date is March 10th 2016 when I drop it off (I even took video before I dropped it off because I had a feeling they would try this) it is now 4/25 and still do not have my car. I feel they are waiting until my warranty is close to expire. I was told by a mechanic that they ordered a valve body from a company which sent them the wrong one...not once but twice ..and that they don't have tracking numbers or can't tell when the part will show up. They initially said my car was fixed less than a week when they wanted my money...but now when under warranty they take over 40 days so far? In May I was finally advised to come get my car. I showed up and the mechanic handed me an old sensor he said I can have. He told me to take it to Ford to get it flashed. He then said my car was outside and he yelled for another mechanic to show me where the part goes and he went inside. Now I'm standing by my car with some guy trying to explain how to replace this part in the engine myself. He also said that my car will not run and I should tow it. I gave the part back to the worker and said that this is not what we agreed on and what I paid for. I went back in the office and spoke with the mechanic and said my car doesn't even run how am I supposed to drive it? He said he told you that and went outside and confronted the other worker. The worker said well it might start but it won't come out of gear and you will be stranded. I gave the part back and was going to arrange some type of tow truck. I talked about legal action because they charged me thousands never fixed the problem and now seems to have destroyed the vehicle. Keep in mind I took it to the dealership (Ford)and had the PCM replaced. I now think their negligence has fried all the computers and that's why it doesn't change gears or they have been not replacing/or swapping parts on my car. I have threatened legal action. After I voiced my frustrations the mechanic said he will speak with his business partner to give him a couple days. So after speaking with his business partner reassured me that the car will be fixed with a brand new transmission with a Tcm mounted on. He assured me it will be brand new and everything is good that my new transmission will be in on Wednesday and it will take a couple days to put in. But he really appreciates me being patient. Friday May 13, Mechanic says at dealership getting my new transmission and tcm flashed. He said they also said the problem was from 2 sensors which were recalled back in 2009. He said everything is perfect with everything else the dealer ordered the sensors for free and they will be in Monday and you will have your car. Monday May 16, Mechanic says after talking with the dealer the problem could be more severe like a wiring harnest and he doesn't want to have to pay $600 but he will refund all of my money? So he is going to do a full refund but not pay $600? Something felt strange. I called the dealership that he said he took it to and spoke with the mechanic. The dealership said he just placed the TCM that they didn't even do a diagnostic on the vehicle so they have no idea what is wrong. I asked the dealership about the recalled parts i was told about and they stated there weren't any recalled parts in 2009 and they never ordered any parts. read more

I recently got an oil change at a nearby sears auto. Upon being informed I was low on transmission fluid I drove out of the parking lot only to have my transmission keep switching out if gear for the first time ever ( suspicious). Savers to the rescue! I drove over right at closing time and a very friendly gentleman refilled my fluid and did a follow on inspection the next morning all free of charge! Really saved me a headache and potentially a locked up transmission ( he determined the sears mech must've drained the tran fluid by mistake). This is quite possibly the worst place to take you vehicle to! It's now been two days shy of two weeks since I have had my truck (complete rebuild on transmission)- I was told last Friday that I would be able to have my truck that day (exactly a week and one day of them having it), and then when I got there, they waited TWO hours to tell me that my truck was not only NOT ready, that it had NOT been ready even when they called me and told me to come pick it up. Every time I call now, it has been "We can't tell you much about it, etc." And then, I drove by today when it was RAINING, they had it parked by the side of the road with the windows rolled down. Bad, bad, baddddd customer service. They've messed with the wrong person. Word travels fast, that's all I'm going to say. read more
