The over-the-phone estimate was $450-500. After the men got here, looked for themselves, then phoned the "boss", the estimate became $975! When I said "no", there was a cancellation fee (which I had been advised of) as well as a "trip" fee--for a total 0f $95! Mr. Window Cleaner is AWESOME! I called because we used to live in the same building as Joe, the owner. We bought a home, and waited a while to settle in. Once ready, I asked for an estimate, and Mark was most polite and accommodating. The guys showed up ready to work. Even though the previous owners didn't protect the windows, and t here was paint spray on them, the guys did their best to get al the paint off. When my husband came home, he couldn't even believe there were windows there! The guys are AWESOME, protected my floors, and even made sure everything was clean before they left. Oh, and they also discovered the source of a very annoying bird in my neighborhood! I would recommend them to EVERYONE! When my townhome complex paints the exterior, I am going to recommend Mr. Window Cleaner to all of my neighbors, so that we can all be sparkly clean! I tried to book an appointment based on some of the good reviews, but their booking procedure is BIZARRE. I called, and they went over a bunch of cancellation fees (fine, whatever), and I thought I had an appointment scheduled. They said there was e-mail coming with terms and conditions that required a written response. I was offline the rest of the day and got home in the evening. I checked my e-mail and saw that the e-mail had come at 11 a.m., a "final notice of appointment" had come at 12:19 p.m. saying the appointment would be cancelled if they didn't receive a written response within an hour. At 1:19 p.m., I got a notice that the appointment was cancelled. It just seems that, between the strange booking confirmation procedure and the list of cancellation fees, the business doesn't show much respect toward potential customers. read more

This is a nice start to a conversation. I mention the yelp coupon, he makes an appointment, his team show up 7 minutes early on the day with a smile on their face. They give me a thorough consultation, a price, which is much lower than i anticipated and start to work. They were done within two hours, having honored my yelp coupon, and left me with clean gutters, no sign that they'd been there otherwise and a small parting gift. Whatever you do Do Not Hire this company unless you want broken screens and worse broken windows! These guys firstly didn't even clean everything as promised-my skylight and some windows are still dirty. I have only one window in my bedroom and these guys broke the handle with which to open it. I did the walk through but of course did not notice until they left. As for the skylight, when they came in for a quote they said they could do it but of course after they said it was too difficult and they did their best? Very unprofessional service. They deleted my comment from their website. They set up an appt then cancelled when I asked them to call me at the gate, the HOA asked we don't give the new gate code out or we will be fined. That's what gate directory intercoms are for but this company can't use that. I've never had someone say they can't work unless they get a code. I could have made one up. Also they have an odd cancel policy that costs you money even if you need to reschedule. This company or the guy handling appointments lacks any type of customer service skills. They lost my job and the person that referred me is no longer using them after three years. Dumbest call I've had with any vendor and I work in real estate. Stay Away!!! read more

I had my windows cleaned today and they did a super job. Jose came and worked for several hours. I have a lot of windows. He was very tidy and there was no mess left on my floors or the window sills. He brought ladders and reached windows I did not think they might be able to clean. They also cleaned my chandelier and it looks like new. Again no mess anywhere. I contacted Mr Window to have them look at my gutters. I was a little skeptical of any company that charges a fee just to give you a quote but all the reviews they had on yelp were good, so I decided to call them to come out. Four guys showed up and gave me a quote for the job. I agreed to the job and they started to clean my gutters. They then asked if I wanted my dryer vent cleaned while they were on-site at a cheaper rate since they were there. I decided to go ahead and have them do both jobs, because they were both reasonably priced. They finished both jobs in under 2 hours and I was very happy with their service. Decided to clean the gutters to be prepared in case the El Nino strikes as forecasted. Jose showed up right on time and since it was early in the morning I really appreciated that. He looked professional and was very polite! He did the job by himself and we have a large roof with different levels. He walked every inch of the roof and cleaned that which is important since if you clean the gutters and not the roof everything would just blow into them. He cleaned up afterwards and there isn't one thing I could think of to say negatively. There was even an automated reminder call that came the night before. They could have had my business of two shopping centers but the guy over the phone couldn't give me a estimate because he said that it was pointless since one of my shopping centers out of the 3 which I gave him the address to was out of there area and him not knowing that I had two more which were. After I asked for a estimate 3 times he declined to give me one and gave me a rude attitude, then when I told him that I had two more centers in his area and I asked for his name he hung up on me. Was looking for someone to clean all my windows and screens. Mr Window Cleaner seemed to have really good reviews and I liked his website. So gave the owner, Joe a call. He was very helpful and went over the number of windows and screens I have and gave me an estimate right over the phone. It was very reasonable so made an appointment for this morning. Got a call and an email last night as a reminder. Joe said his team would be here between 7 and 8 am. Earl and Dirk showed up at 6:56. These guys are great. Did a walk thru to make sure they understood everything I wanted done. Then they called Joe for the final job amount which was just as Joe had quoted on the phone. Plus I had printed out the coupon from the website so got another $27.00 off the bill. Earl and Dirk got right to work....had great team work. I expected them to be here several hours but they were done in 2 1/2 and my windows sparkle. They weren't this clean when they were new. We did a final walk thru to make sure everything was ok. They then got Joe back on the phone and he wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied...which I am. At this point they would accept my check. Dirk mentioned the company also cleans window blinds and ceiling fans. Just got an estimate for this from Joe and will be scheduling that job soon. Joe, the owner of the company, told me he would call me on Wednesday, 7/6, to set up a follow-up appointment to assess the situation. I am not surprised that I have not heard back from him. When the washer repair technician came out today and opened my double-stack unit up to give me a quote, he told me I was lucky that the washer shocks were just misaligned and not broken as originally assessed. The washer technician told me it was 100% the dryer vent cleaners fault as they improperly moved the double-stack unit. The labor to fix my broken machine was $150 (thank goodness not $700!!!). I will be following up with this company to be reimbursed for this repair invoice or filing a claim with the BBB and Consumer Affairs. I already paid $129 for dryer vent cleaning plus $25 additional since it is a double stack unit. Why charge the extra $25 for double stack units when the technicians don't know how to properly move the units. Save yourself the headache and avoid getting any work done by this company. This company also goes by the name Dryer Vent Cleaning 911. I feel it is my duty as a consumer to warn people about this company. read more
