They do not offer free loaners and work through hertz and you have to pay 5 percent of your estimate to go towards the loaner if your estimate goes over $3k -none of which was explained upon arrival nor is there any paperwork to back up the agreement. They had my car for three weeks past their deadline (which added a significant amount to the rental) and when I was told it was ready for pick up, my front bumper was a completely different color. When speaking to the owner (Brad) about the issue, his response was a snarky "what do you want me to do about it?" He told me someone would call the next day to follow up. Henry called the next day and asked what the issue was, and after telling him the paint was the wrong color his response was "yeah, it does look worse in the daylight than it did last night." They made the correction, or attempted to (my car is still not the proper color) and informed me it was all set. After picking up my vehicle I found the headlights were never aligned, my wiper fluid lines are hooked up backwards (front fluid and back wiper activated and back fluid when front wiper blades are activated), pins that connect the trim to the frame were not placed, bolts were tightened too much on plastic pieces in the engine bay so it is now cracked, and they drained the coolant and wiper fluid reservoirs without refilling them so my car has been without coolant for weeks. They definitely do not call back when promised or give you any updates. Please, avoid at all costs!!!!

He was extremely apologetic but in the end, I have a useless piece of glass and I got no compensation for it. He might be a good Glass Guy but he wasn't for me. It's unfortunate because I do like to support small businesses, but it's instances like this that makes me want to go back and support bigger companies because they stand behind what they do, good or bad.

My story starts at Safelite, in Troy MI…read more I was there this morning for a 9:00AM appointment. One person waiting for her car (Ms. X). I was originally going to pick it up when finished, but decided to wait. At 9:30, another customer walks in and says she is early for her appointment. I watch as her call gets pulled into the service bay as mine is still in the spot I left it. Just before 10:00 someone comes to give Ms. X her keys and she leaves. At 10:00 another customer walks in and says they are right on time. I watch as their car goes into the service bay while my car is in the same spot. I see a couple of service people come to the desk and return to the service area. I go outside to take a call outside and see that there is an empty service bay and I decide it is time to get my keys and go. I went to the desk after some shuffling of papers looking for my keys on the desk the guy goes to the service area comes back and hands them to me. No apology, excuse or explanation. I say "thanks" and leave. I got home and started searching for a place for service. I called E & C Auto Glass and was quoted a price a lot lower than Safelite, and he could come out to my house in the afternoon. Marc came to my house and did the repair in an hour. He also charged a lot less. Repair looks like it was factory new. I will recommend E & C to anyone that needs to have a Autoglass repaired. Maybe it would have been different if Satellite came to my house to do the repair, but in the end, I am glad I did not pay ahead of time and I same a lot of money and supported a small business. Not to mention I have a Safelite story to share in a commercial if they want.

I wasn't expecting much, but the car looked good when they were done. The quarter panel was pulled out enough to get a taillight back on it, and the contours were smooth enough that it looks fine from most angles. They cleaned up several other details that I didn't expect. They saved my daughter from having to buy another car when the damage wasn't her fault (The car was hit while parked). She will be able to drive it long enough now to pay off one of her student loans before she has to buy a newer car. I don't know if the price was right, but the insurance covered it.

We were refered to these guys. Brad and I were running errands and popped in. Upon arrival It looked like what I grew up with a regular Mom and Pops business. There was the owner Bill, another worker, and a woman working on upohlstery. He took a look at the window. He informed us that the window was not original to the car and was made by some foreign entity that supplies very cheap and usually poor fitting ready made windshields. Anyway, because of this windshields poor quality water was getting into the not tight enough seals and creating rust and blah blah blah... So It came down to getting a new windshield or popping it out a bit and re-caulking it. We opted for the re-caulking because we are going to trade this damned thing in in a few months anyway where it can then move on in life as someones high school heap of junk or something to that effect. What impressed me about this place was that as we were waiting for the caulking to be finished the owner was very nice and talkative and very informative. Brad asked how long one of the Classic cars was...He wasn't sure so this set us off on measuring both the classic cars lenghts. Thank god because I hate being Idle and get bored quick! I also learned about some classic car facts and was amused that he looked like my fathers twin...really bizarre even the mannerisms were similar. The time flew and before we knew it the job was done and we were heading home. I highly suggest this place!

(We knew that the speedometer was hard to see at night, but didn't know it was missing some lights.) Above and beyond the call of duty, and for less than the cost of a new radio!
