I have been coming here for over 16 years! I loved the service and the food. I just went it yesterday and I ordered a small bowl it was almost $10 when I usually went it was about $6 I asked the lady nicely if the pricing have gone up which I understand pricing does go up she started to raise her voice at me and say no it has not gone up but it will and starting to throw in my sauces rudely in the bag mind you I am with my 3 year old child. I couldn't believe it I have never seen her at Mr. Wok before but wow what horrible service. Please update your staff how to be kind. read more

I feel compelled to leave this positive feedback. Since the Covid hit, it was merely impossible to find walk-up ready to serve Chinese food places. Just like how the other yelper has reviewed, their BBQ Pork aka Charsiu was really good. It literally melted in my mouth. Also, their portion was huge. The 'must get', 'definitely won't disappoint' dishes are: ORANGE CHICKEN, BEEF BROCCOLI, and CHOW MEIN! Notable mentions: BBQ PORK and FRIED RICE. Good enough to order again. The one dish I'd pass on is the teriyaki chicken. It was bland and the sauce sunk to the bottom of the container without flavoring the chicken. Been hearing about this place from numerous people and thought to give it a try. From walking in, it gives you a Panda Express feel. Though the entrees they had displayed seemed to be a better offering from what panda gives. Everything looked great and as much as I can say I'll want a bit of everything. I already know my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Got home and from the taste. I'd say the flavors are better. The bbq pork was a big on the dry side. The rice and noodles were above average but nothing to be raving about. They honey chicken was my main they I chose and I will give it to them, it was crispy and tender on the inside vs how other places are soggy and just mush from eating. I very much enjoyed that. The ones who served us were friendly and quick to getting us loaded with what we asked for. They don't just give you a little of what you want, you get a lot. Plenty for the next day! This is by far the greatest Chinese restaurant in lake forest. You get a lot of food for a decent price. I got the three item meal and it was around 12 dollars but let me tell you , you get tons of food enough to feed an entire family with the single plate. So I called again yesterday and got an answer right away. I ordered two family meals, thinking that would feed nine of us. It did, and we had more than half of the food left over. Portions are generous. The family meal includes three choices of mains, and three of either white rice, fried rice, or chow mein. It also comes with dipping sauces, egg rolls, and fried wontons. We ordered the orange chicken, beef and broccoli, kung pao chicken, and the pork. All were delicious, and my kids loved the food. A few weeks back we ordered from a "real" Chinese restaurant with good reviews. Mr. Wok was a much better value, and we liked the food better.
