With the need to find food sensitive eateries Explorado is a perfect place for all. Focusing on a complete Gluten free menu we were all able to find food we could enjoy without worry. The menu options are expansive and the food delicious. Service was friendly and patient as we took some time to choose our items. The ambiance is very pleasant especially as the building adjoins the Old Town Square. If we lived in FC full time this would be my almost daily place for gluten free food or for an array of drink options. I tried the dhumarl black iced tea; it was wonderful. This fine sunny and warm Sunday morning found us hopping in (again, we came last year) to La Crêperie to fight the crêpe withdrawals--it's been too long. Interior is very "Parisian cafe", period art, TVs showing videos of the pastry chefs doing their thing. She ordered a hot chocolate to start, and a Parisian crêpe (berries, whip cream, raspberry coulis). I ordered a galette (think square envelope-crêpe) from the savory side. I'd had it last visit and had been looking forward to a redux. I ordered the Professeur Steve, capers, mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach and brie, which arrived with smoked salmon arranged like a rose at opposing corners (keeps it cold). Oh man, this brie-gooing mushroomy sweet-caramelly onion spinach umami explosion goes perfectly taken in a bite with the salmon. Addiction sated; withdrawals saved off until next June's visit. Wife's crêpe was delicious--everything sweet-toothers love. Hot chocolate is real. Like not from a packet but from a chocco chunk and paid labor somewhere nearby. Whipped cream was real, and thick enough that it could have been sliced and served on its own. Absolutely freaking delicious. Love this place. See you in a year!

This location never has enough of the most popular donuts while hundreds of other donuts remain unsold. I've been told they would adjust their production numbers to fix it. For 5 months I've been told this. Still no change. Either they don't care about the customer or they are incompetent. The same donuts are gone by late morning every single day. So if you, like me, want one of the three most popular donuts, good luck. I will remove this review when the problem is fixed permanently.

These are square and no-kidding as big as my hand. Each. Four of them. Yeah, beignets are mostly air but one order was plenty for the two of us. Fabulous breakfast plate! Wife N went with the classic Benedict, ham, poached eggs, hollandaise, plain grits on the side. Delicious as always. Coffee is dark and fabulous. The lack of wait to order combined with the large crowd waiting for food should have clued me in to move on. The woman taking my order warned that food would take 25-30 minutes. Much longer than desirable, but I figured I could manage that wait and proceeded with my order: chicken and waffles for $16 + tip. Thirty minutes pass. 10 more minutes pass. Finally at about 47 minutes after I placed my order, with the headline concert time fast approaching, I inquire where my order is on the queue. She a scrolls down past many orders ahead of mine and predicts at least 15 more minutes. I request refund and walk away. No dinner for me at "Taste of FoCo". :( Bottom line: Worst food truck experience ever. Please, know your limitations and figure out how to accurately tell customers how long the wait. One hour is truly unacceptable, as one does not attend festivals to wait around for food to miraculously appear. Had I been told from the outset that it would be an hour or more, I wouldn't have ordered and could've chosen another place to eat. I gave two stars only because I've eaten their food after a Fortitude run years ago and it was good. Also because it couldn't have been easy for the poor girl taking orders to have all those hungry eyes staring at her hoping their order was next. She was nice.
