I bet you will find the fee to be the same after you pay for co-pays, parking and all the additional fees. Or instead you can go to Northwestern where they tack on fees left and right and make you wait for weeks for your results and then multiple appointments later plus the stress of waiting and you've already likely paid the $390 anyway in co-pays and fees cause insurance is BS. I started at NW and had months of stress and appointments. Never again. The piece of mind is worth every penny. Do it. Trust me.

I am now 65 and can't afford the $390 concierge fee and am looking for a new facility for my mamogram. I am disappointed that he is my third Northwestern Memorial doctor that has skipped down the road to become a concierge doctor. I have other specialists at University of Chicago Med, they never do this, only the NWM doctors go this route. I know he is the best and hires the best x-ray techs (never cause me pain). By reducing his patient population, I seriously hope he is able to help breast cancer patients that need constant imaging.

I recommend choosing a different provider that is more transparent with their billing process unless you enjoy unexpected invoices for hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars months after you've already paid. It's also worth nothing that their "billing department" is simply an overseas call center so should you want to discuss these discrepancies, you're out of luck as they're equipped for little more than reciting a script and regurgitating the same figures you've already seen on your bill.

She said there might be an 11 and another receptionist chimed in and said if she doesn't come between 10.45 and 11 you can have that appointment. I waited and went to the desk, it was 11.02 and someone walked in and checked in. I asked if I can still have the 11, she said that the appointment came and I can't. I asked why her previous statement did not apply and she remarked I didn't even have an appointment. Overall this was a very unnerving and unprofessional experience. If someone in their office makes an error they should own up to it instead of deflecting accountability. Hopefully Illinois Masonic will yield better experiences in the future.

Otherwise they will put in to the insurance company for approval at the last minute and not give enough time for approval and cancel. I recommend staying on top of them daily for a status and verify with your insurance company as well that they have submitted for approval.

The staff was lovely- the initial call with Cecilia who did all the leg work with my referral and insurance. Then to the vascular ultrasound tech Jose who was such a calming presence and explained everything during the procedure. And finally a consult with Dr. E. who was very knowledgeable and went through all the next steps. Clean, modern office- free parking- coffee. My patient experience was just perfect. I've switched many of my doctors to the burbs in recent years, but trust Dr. Ward so make the trip downtown. And thru the years she's discovered many pre cancerous moles, including one recently that she said wasn't melanoma (phew), but a more severe version of pre cancer. She said this this she was going to refer me to a derm surgeon for Mohs surgery. She referred me to this practice and i made an appt for a few weeks later with Dr. Ashourian. I parked (at a discounted validated rate) in the Neimans building where this office is located. And I was immediately shown to a room for surgery. The nurse was super friendly and helpful and then Dr. Ashourian came in a few minutes later. Dr. Ashourian could not have been nicer and we kept saying we felt like we knew each other from somewhere. Our daughters are about the same age so perhaps from my city days! She also did a great job explaining the procedure and after care. The entire thing was done within minutes and with minimal pain. She also gave me a suture kit so that i could get the stitches out from a dr. friend so I didn't have to go all the way back to the city. And most importantly 6 days later got a call that all came back clear- whoo hoo! I'm hoping no pre cancerous or (worse) cancerous skin conditions in my future, but if I needed a derm surgeon I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
