We went to MRKT for the first time last week. Sorry I forgot to take pics of the food, but I will update next time. The first night we made reservations (not necessary) and the second night we walked in. We had Will and Anthony as our servers. Both were amazing, a 10 out of 10 like my daughter would say! We tried many dishes including: Pan roast seafood tower- this is not what we expected. It was a pan roast, no tower.all the seafood was hot. The sauce was delish. But all the seafood had the same sauce, so it was a little one note. It was good. But I wouldn't order it again. It's also a strange portion to share with the table. Ahi tuna- amazing! I will order this every time! I even got it to go one night and ate it a few hours later and it was still fantastic. Beef carpaccio- so good! Not the best I've ever had, but definitely a solid choice. - wedge salad. My friends enjoyed. It was your standard wedge. Nothing out of the ordinary. Crab chowder- the first night mine didn't have any crab in it, but it did taste like crab. The second night it had chunks of crab and was amazing! It is rich, comforting, and a must order as long as they have the crab chunks in there. - meatballs in garlic sauce. My friends enjoyed these very much. The sauce was good. I think it's the same sauce in the pan roast. - surf and turf. I'd order this every time. I did order it Oscar style and regretted that decision when it came to the table. The sauce was not appetizing to look at or eat. The server quickly corrected it for me even though I didn't ask and just pushed it to the side. I appreciate it though. - NY steak. My husband loved it. I tried it and it was very tasty, although not my favorite cut but it is his. We were all too full to try any desserts. We did try the raspberry lemon drop. It was VERY sweet. It wasn't my favorite. The wine selection was amazing! We will absolutely be back. Overall the service and food was great!!! read more

I have been here before a couple of times and it was satisfactory. They must have a new chef...because tonight's meal was remarkable!! Started off with two glasses of Merlot. The wine prices are quite good, especially if you buy it by the bottle. They brought a complimentary bread basket and the breads were fresh and delicious, they are not mailing in the bread like most places. Hub got the filet 8oz with a peppercorn sauce on the side, I decided to get the scallops...and little did I know that these were going to blow my mind. We split a side of mashed potatoes that was also good. Our waiter was prompt and accommodating...very good service. Dinner at 7pm on a Tuesday night. It wasn't too crowded. I was seated promptly. The Hostess was very nice. I ordered the Salmon. It was a healthy cut and cooked just right. My Caesar salad was pretty bland. And I think it was a raisin bread that was entirely too hard to eat. The green beans and mashed potatoes were good. You typical steakhouse ambience was nice dim lighting. I had to get my Gingerale to go because my drink order wasn't taken until we were leaving. The food was great here. It seemed slow there for a Friday night which we didn't mind it was quiet and beautiful inside. It did not smell like smoke even though it's inside the casino. Service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. No manager was around that we saw. Food was very good. Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn't try any cocktails this time but we want to go back to sit at the bar. Only complaint is the calamari is overly salty. Server mentioned it depends who makes it sometimes it is salty and sometimes it isn't. We took it to go. Bread wasn't warm enough so some pieces got hard quick. Gotta love a great steakhouse!! Stayed at Aliante and of course HAD to visit the steakhouse. They had a tomahawk special w/ 1 tomahawk, shared salad, 2 sides, and shared dessert for 2. Price was $160. Will, our server, was wonderful! Great service and food. Let's get to it.. the tomahawk was GRAND @ med rare! Thankfully, they had A1 sauce cuz I love it on my steaks (no matter how good the steak, gotta have it). I had mashed potatoes, they were as good as can be for regular mashed (not loaded). I stayed at the hotel and had a food and beverage credit, so I decided to try this place for dinner. I ordered the Mac and cheese with added lobster, and the green beans. The Mac and cheese didn't have lobster in it so I had to call and explain, and they had to make it again for me. The staff was really nice about that. The Green beans weren't very good though. MRKT is a restaurant that my hubby and I asked ourselves why it was so long for us to come here and eat after living right next to this Casino for so long ? We had such an amazing experience. We had reservations at 4:45 and were excited. We were greeted right away and seated. The dining area is sophisticated and relaxing and i love the music playing. Our waiter was at our table almost immediately. The menu has its steak options as well as seafood chicken and all those amazing sides. We were given a complimentary bread basked with butter and the bread was amazing. We decided to order Calamari as an appetizer, my hubby ordered King Crab Legs, and I ordered the Scallops. For our sides we ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese and Creamed Corn. Our food was all cooked to perfection. My scallops were seasoned perfectly and they were cooked just right. Reservations at 7:15, advised they were running behind. Ok. Sat us 25 min past our reservation. 15 min sitting at the table before our waiter came over. Gave our drink order & food order. 20 min before we got our cocktails. Then our app comes out, the Ahi, and it was terrible as you can see from the pic. Waiter checked on us after 35 min. So we ordered another drink. 1 hour passes and still no food. Then we think they're bringing us our food, it's actually for another table that came in way after us. So we got up and left. Absolutely the worst. Reservations at 7:15, left at 9pm with food never being served. We're locals and will not be recommending this place to anyone. The kicker, the restaurant wasn't even half way filled. If it was packed we might understand a little, but absolutely no excuses for the awful service, and the drinks were something you'd get at the bar for free if you were playing poker. My most recent meal was the Apple-Fennel Salad, followed by the Salmon, and then received a complimentary brownie with ice cream for my birthday. MRKT Sea & Land is a Steakhouse located in the Aliante Casino/Hotel in North Las Vegas. I've been here three times now and each visit was a completely different experience. My first visit was amazing. We shared the couple's special (Filet mignon for two with all the sides and dessert) and it was awesome. Second visit we tried burgers. To me they didn't taste like the quality I read they are but I can't say for sure. Tonight my husband ordered the steak frites and that seemed very good. The problem was that I ordered the salmon.......The salmon came out over cooked and dried up so I sent it back (5:50pm). The replacement salmon came out at 6:05pm and was raw in the center like seared sushi. I sent that back and at 6:20 we decided to leave since we finished our bottle of wine. The manager, food runners, and server all apologized to me and comped the bill. I do NOT recommend getting the salmon. (they should remove it from the menu since they don't prepare it properly) You will do better than me if you stick with steaks here. The steaks we tried here were very good. read more

There was a lounge singer when we arrived that created a fun ambiance upon entry. Seating is nicely spaced apart which made our dinner feel very intimate. Not our first time here. It's expensive, but oh, so, good. As an anniversary dinner, it's worth the splurge. I know a lot of gamblers get comped meals. Sure wish I gambled. It's relatively intimate. Our waiter and all the staff/chefs were attentive. The center cut ribeye was off the chart tender, the cocktails fast, the bruschetta amazing. We participated in the restaurant week offering. The bar wasn't crowded and there was a female songstress entertaining . Hostess led our party to the very back of the restaurant to what appeared to be a private dining area if need be. Anthony was our server, he was prompt, professional and on point. He got our breadbasket and got the cocktails ordered promptly. My martini was perfect and the extra olives I asked for were included. We ordered the calamari for the table and some salads and French onion soup. He asked if the calamari should come out first before the other apps. The calamari were crispy and done just right, the French onion soups were served piping hot which is a huge plus. The chopped salad was split for two diners and was a generous portion. Mains.... A couple rib eyes, one filet and one prime rib. The ribeyes were large and perfectly cooked. Personally, I only ate a small portion since I had the app's, bread and soup. The diner who ordered the filet said it was under cooked at medium rare rather than medium as ordered. The prime rib (queen cut) was cooked perfectly. Sides, creamed corn, mashed potato, Mac and cheese, and baked sweet potato. All large portions to share. Anthony brought out a complimentary molten chocolate dealie for dessert. We had a great comp (Thanks Stacey) , put the rest on a card and also enjoyed a 10% military discount. Went to MRKT for our anniversary. Booked a table for 4:30 (they now start the full menu at 4pm) stating it was an anniversary dinner. The hostess said happy anniversary when we checked in. Ordered a Caesar salad and the dressing was spot on. So was the prime rib. Also ordered the crab chowder and scallops. Chowder spot on, but paid too much for the scallops and not as good as the rest of the meal. We were going to order dessert but decided against it. But our waiter brought out the (free!) brownie dessert that had a dark chocolate disc with Happy Anniversary written on it! Very nice touch! We haven't dined at this restaurant in several years due to its food, but my husband wanted to give it another chance for my birthday. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I requested a well-seasoned steak cooked medium well, the server advised me to try the pepper steak. The first issue was the presentation (see attached photo), and the second was the lack of flavor--it was quite dry. I could cook a better steak myself, which is a significant concern. Regrettably, I didn't enjoy a nice dinner on my birthday, just a salad. Additionally, my husband ordered a 1.5-pound crab legs, the cost $155. Since I returned my steak, I believe we were charged double for his few legs because he received only 4-5 legs, and it wasn't very flavorful either! For a steakhouse, the chef really needs to improve their steak cooking skills. I say somewhat because towards the end it did seem we were forgotten about lol The food we ordered was good, but not the best. Although, the mashed potatoes were really, really good! First of all, the ambience is amazing, when you walk in, you are immediately greeted...... I would say the only issue we had was that our reservation was near closing time. My appetizer was the crabcake which in my humble opinion was absolutely perfection, for the entrée, I had the braised short rib over polenta, and that my friend was chef's kiss...with exception to the Demi glaze, which in my opinion had too much tomato paste, even though it was my birthday, there was no room for dessert. read more

Being new to the neighborhood, we wanted check out Aliante casino and have some dinner. So we decided to give MRKT a try. Walked in and were welcomed by the hostess who was very friendly. We asked to sit in a bar booth because the game was on. It's a nice set up, but the seats are high and the table is low. Hard to slide in and out. But still a nice booth. The service: We waited a good 15 or more minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Not a great start. And we were starving from our day at work! Once someone actually came over, the service was better. Still spotty, but better. The Food: For food, we ordered some stuff to split. We started with the calamari, which was pretty good. Good flavor and not chewy. It's not pictured because we ate it pretty quick being hungry. We ordered the wedge salad next with no tomato. Ordered dressing on the side because the wifey doesn't like blue cheese dressing. So she got ranch(which very good)! For entrees we ordered the Prime ribeye and the braised short rib with polenta. Both very good!! Sides were Al La carte. We got the mashed and the grilled asparagus. Both good. But the asparagus was on the very large size. Not portion, but the asparagus itself. A little to Al dente for a size like that. We will be back and give the service another try. Only reason it is a 4star review. Just a pointer from someone who is in the biz, might want to have your manager on the floor instead of chilling in the side station in view of guests. I went here for dinner to use some of my Boyd points. I haven't been to Aliante for several years and this was my first time trying their steakhouse. It was a good decision. When I checked in, I was asked if I wanted to eat in the lounge or the dining room. I chose the dining room. I was asked if I wanted a table or booth and I chose a table. There is only one two top in that area of the dining room, but I was shown to a four top.The room is lined with booths along the wall and tables in bewteen. The room is quite modern witha lot of wood and some nice lighting. Shortly, my server, Lynne, stopped by and asked about water and other drinks. I ordered my standard iced tea. In the meantime, a server stopped with a small basket of sliced bread and two pretzel rolls. This was served with pink salted butter, something most Boyd steakhouses do. When Lynne brought the iced tea, I was ready to order. I knew what I'd come for. I started with crab chowder, followed by a 12 ounce prime rib (asking for the rarest cut they had), an order of grilled asparagus, and finished off with a double cappuccino and their 7 layer cake. The chowder was very good and something different from the common lobster bisque or French onion. Then came the prime rib. It was exactly the way I like it. There was also a small bowl of au just rather than filling the plate with jus. The asparagus was served with tongs to move the spears to the my plate. The whole meal was excellent. During the meal, a manager stopped to ask how things were. Service was top notch. It was such a pleasure to have such a good meal in a restaurant that was quiet and has appealing décor. I cannot express enough how good the service was. I will be back. This is now my favorite Boyd steakhouse! read more

I was torn between a few menu items and ultimately went with the surf & turf special advertised by my server. It was a very small portion of filet mignon (perhaps 6oz.) and a lobster tail. For my sides I ordered the Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. My server did warn me the sides were larger portions. Each side could have easily fed three people. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. My water glass was constantly refilled and they'd checked in frequently to ask how my meal was. I ended dinner with a warm butter cake and ice cream for dessert. I'd visited once the restaurant opened so it was fairly quiet and I enjoyed the noise level wasn't too high despite the music playing and conversations taking place at different tables. read more

Decided to give MRKT a go. We did not have reservations and we were able to get in on a Friday night. To start off we went with the tuna tartare and the crab cake. The avocado on the tuna tartare seemed a bit old and wasn't my favorite. The crab chowder was really definitely recommended trying it. For entrees I tried the salmon and the scallops. However, our experience was impacted by our server, Lynn C, who came across as quite rude during our visit. Went to Glittering Lights and wanted a place between there and home to eat so stopped in at Aliante Casino for dinner at MRKT. Have never been so wasn't sure what to expect. Atmosphere is pedestrian, nice but looks like a doctors waiting room, no personality, but clean and bright We were seated in a comfy booth and our waiter came over to take our drink orders quickly. We perused the menu and decided on some apps. When the drinks came we ordered the French onion soup and the crab chowder. I had an old fashioned and it was good. My wife had a raspberry lemon drop and it was very good. Soup came and they were both outstanding. I love a beefy onion soup and this one hit the spot. Was very tasty and loaded with cheese. It was a chilly night and the soup warmed me right up. Chowder was thick and creamy and very good I ordered the prime rib (12oz) rare and my wife had the scallops. For sides we ordered the garlic mashed potato and jalapeño creamed corn. Prime rib was rare, nice cut and seasoned well. Very juicy and served with horseradish sauce and au ju. I scoffed it down as I was starving. Scallops came with 5 big ones. I was expecting the standard 4 but was happy to get 5. My wife doesn't eat a lot so I knew one of those babies was mine! Sides were really good. I really loved the corn. The bread selection was really good too with a small French bread type loaf and little pretzel rolls For desert I ordered the cheesecake and a coffee. I was expecting a cup but got a French roast pot! I said to my wife that's gonna be 13 bucks, but nope, 5 bucks! I may come here just for the coffee!! Service was great. Nice steakhouse in North Las Vegas area. There's a lounge bar up front with live music to chat and drink before your meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated with warm, dim lighting. The staff are very professional and attentive. We like to order the monthly special, this month is chateaubriand for two. For $125, this includes the steak, two sides and a dessert to share. The steak is so flavorful and tender, the server slices it right in front of your table before serving it to you on a cutting board. We shared roasted Brussel sprouts that were lightly drizzled with maple, I think. We also ordered the Mac n cheese which was very creamy and rich.
