Lorenzo did the work and he was professional, careful, meticulous and did quality work. We couldn't recognize the sofas when he finished and the curtains were brighter and looked brand new. When we called, the appointment was made for two days later. Lorenzo gave us a quote right away on the work and we were thrilled that he could do the job onsite rather than take the curtains away and bring them back later. I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. The stain on my carpet looks much worse after their treatment (see attached before and after photos…read more-- yes, the bad one is the after...) They refused to refund my payment. They don't have expertise in rug cleaning - the reason I hired them instead of doing it myself was because I didn't know how to clean my delicate wool rug without damaging the fibers. Turns out they don't either. It's harder to see in the photos, but they destroyed the fibers in an area much larger than the original stain. I should've known it would be trouble when they came back a second time telling me that they picked up a cleaner that "Home Depot recommended." I told them all I wanted was a refund (I could've threatened them with small claims for destroying my rug.) They refused, so here we are. 1 Star.

(I advise not being in any work from home meetings during that period of time because it's loud) After pre-treatment, he worked on each room with 12 gallon tank of clean hot water and dumped out gallons of filthy black water that used to harbor all the dirt and grime baked into the carpet. I've used Rug Doctors before but the level of clean is significantly different with the expensive machinery Marc had on hand. After he was done I felt comfortable walking around barefoot on those carpets, which is something I couldn't say beforehand at all! You really get what you pay for.
