I originally left a 5-star review after paying $350 on April 9 to have a garage door spring replaced. Unfortunately, I have to update this review due to a poor follow-up experience. On April 20, the garage door became stuck because the cable came off the track. I reached out multiple times throughout the day and received no response. At that point, the warranty becomes meaningless if the company cannot be reached. I had another garage door company come out and paid for a second repair, to replace the now damaged cables. They confirmed that while the spring replacement itself was done correctly, the cables were not properly adjusted and the door was left imbalanced, which likely contributed to the failure. It was also why the opener was so much noisier after the spring replacement (I was told it was from excess wear on it from trying to lift the door without the spring). The opener is once again very quiet and the door is raising and lowering very smoothly and quietly. I understand that issues can happen, but lack of responsiveness--especially for something that can pose a safety risk and was most likely related to work just done --is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company nor would I use them again. read more

He was able to come by early morning while I was working and was reasonably price to replace my spring for my garage with a warranty. He was also able to navigate our garage sensor issue which we have been having since last year and was able to fix it... Matthew was very knowledgeable and was quick.. he did an amazing job... definitely recommend. read more

They are scammers. Do not use them. They charged us 4 times the amount that they should have to fix the garage door springs and the door didn't work. I called them every day for a month. They finally came out and told us we needed a new motor, which we didn't. I reported them. read more

I initially called yesterday and spoke with Jen, who was friendly and understanding. I explained that my husband and I are in the process of buying a house and urgently needed an estimate for the garage doors to negotiate with the seller. Jen understood the urgency and sent a text to stay in touch, which I appreciated. Later that evening, I texted Jen back and eventually called to clarify logistics (arrival time & estimated onsite duration). This time, I spoke with Emma, who was notably irritated and rude. I brushed it off as a possible bad day, and I explained my situation and mentioned my initial conversation with Jen. Emma couldn't provide an estimated duration for the visit but assured me they would give a 30-minute courtesy call before arrival. I even offered to send photos from our inspection for a clearer idea of the work needed, but she declined and refused provide any sort of time duration. I was just looking for an on average / ballpark time frame, nothing concrete. Before ending the call, I informed her I would confirm with the seller's agent and reach out as soon as possible. My last message confirming the appointment was sent at 8:51 pm. Today, nearing the end of the 2-4 pm arrival window they provided, I still hadn't received any updates. I called, and Emma answered again. I mentioned our appointment and asked if we were still scheduled since it was now 3:40 pm. After some back-and-forth, she recalled our conversation and said that, because my confirmation came after business hours, we weren't added to the schedule. When I asked why they hadn't informed me of this sooner, she didn't provide a clear answer and suggested rescheduling for Sunday. At this point, I declined and expressed my frustration over the lack of communication and unprofessionalism. Their hours show they close at 9 pm on Thursdays, so it was confusing why a simple message couldn't have been sent to clarify. Overall, I was upfront with my needs and timelines, yet was met with unhelpful responses and a lack of professionalism from Emma. Despite most reviews here being positive and my great initial experience with Jen, my experience with Emma left me disappointed. If you choose this company, I'd recommend requesting Jen to handle your appointment if possible. read more

MRS came out within an hour of my calling them. Their pricing was very good. They replaced springs and also the opener - since I broke the opener trying to get the door to open numerous times. They had parts needed and gave me a good price on everything + 5 year warranty. Tech was very friendly and capable. They even included an outdoor keypad which my builder did not. I was pleasantly surprised. At the time of this review MRS did not have any Yelp reviews but when I searched on Google they had an overall 4.9 star review. RESPONSIVENESS Very responsive. They responded quickly to my quote and communicated with me promptly to all my replies. AVAILABILITY They scheduled to come out for a free quote same day! And it was a Sunday! FREE QUOTE Shout out to Michael. He came out and provided me a free estimate. He was EXTREMELY thorough and knowledgeable. He identified it was an electrical wiring issue and informed me my garage door wall openers and garage door system is working fine. He even took the time to disconnect the garage door wall opener on the side that was working to test if it was a garage door system issue or electrical issue. He provided me two solutions: one that works around the wiring issue to rewire on another side for my garage door to function again. Second option was to contact an electrician. I chose the second because option one would not address my wiring issue. I appreciated his honesty and the time spent to diagnose my problem. read more

Update: the owner of the company has reached out to express apologies and offered me a full refund for my service fee. I appreciate his effort and trust that he is doing what needs to be done to make sure this does not happen to anyone else. This was the absolute worst service I have ever had from a service provider. I called this company to go look at my garage door unit at a rental property and gave them the explanation that the "program" button was broken on the unit and I was unable to program new remotes. The guy arrived onsite and immediately called me saying that due to recent power outage in my area, he was certain the unit was fried and needed to be replaced. This was ridiculous considering the unit was working completely fine opening and closing form the local button in the garage. I asked him about accessing the program button and he HAD NOT EVEN LOOKED AT IT. Even though I specifically asked for that. He went on to quote me $600 for a new unit. I asked him how much it would be for him to work on the existing unit to see if he could get a remote programmed, and he spouted out $500- without any cosideration. Pretty clear he was only interested in price gouging me for a new unit. I asked him if he would write up a quote and send it to me so I could decide, to which he replied "ma'am, I need you to decide now, it is against my company policy to make multiple trips out to a home". This was an absurd comment expecting someone to make a $600 decision over the phone without even knowing the brand of the unit he wanted to install. In the end, I agreed to pay his $55 service fee and he said he would work on the quote. Well, he never sent the quote- a complete waste of $55 and the absolute worst service interaction I have ever had. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

This is an honest review of my experience. Called up MRS Garage Door. Set an appt time of Sunday from 11 to 1. Fine, that is fair. 12:30 Sunday, text message that tech is running a bit late. But rest assured, they will be at my home around 1. At 1:20, I call - where is the tech now? Get a message and the person on the phone says, 2:30 now. Wait, what? My window was 11 to 1. So I decide to go with someone else. I tell them thanks but no thanks. Then the messages start to come in. Nathan. Matthew. This person, that person. I get offers of 15% off from the text person. Nathan says 50% off. Matthew says they want to compensate me and make it right. Even a free service. But the visit was free. Why would I need a free visit for a free visit? I am not asking for a free repair or even a discount. What I lost was time. Due to poor communication. They said it was a complicate and dangerous job they were working on. I get that tensioning springs can be dangerous. Sure thing. But to go from 11 to 1 window until 2:30 or later without a heads up.....not my place to judge it. I am sure that they would have done a fair job. I cannot speak to the quality of their work. So I refrain from judgment there. I can only speak to my experience. Do with that what you will. I hope anyone calling them has a better experience than I did. To be clear, no one I spoke to or texted was rude. They offered to "make it right" but they cannot give me time back. Hired them in January 2024. They were the first company to respond and had the fastest availability. Installed a new opener for me that includes a great app for opening/closing that also allows for Amazon Key deliveries. They also did general maintenance on the door to make sure it works well. Had another issue with my door (unrelated to the new opener) in March 2024 that they resolved promptly. read more

He didn't upsell me on any unnecessary services, but let me know what I could do now or in the future to keep my door rolling smoothly. Scam artist. Gave me a window from 12-2pm. Got a call at 1:15pm that the tech was 30mins out. Finally shows up at 2:40pm. Looks over the simple track issue. Says $175. Not even 15mins later says he needs another $225 because the roller is filed down. We told him he said $175 now $225 on top of that? The guy says we mis heard him and "said" $475 not $175. Complete scam. They will take advantage if your a woman. Stay away! read more
